The energy of our server Cameron, was PERFECT! We were warmly welcomed, offered drinks and apps right away. We ordered our go to; conch fritters. These were full of conch, albeit a little greasy, they were very good, flavorful. As we're waiting for the food everyone who walked by asked how we were. The room was sort of reserved for us even though we did not Get the numbers, we expected as a result of inclement weather. Came here to watch a dolphins game. The guys had beer on tap and I had a lemonade with a Jack Daniel shot. We ordered smash burger sliders, two different flavor wings and I had the fish and chips. The first batch of lemon pepper wings were burnt and no t much lemon pepper flavor, returned for a new batch which was much better. The Buffalo wings were spiked according to my son, I personally cannot eat too much of that. I also ordered celery & carrot sticks, and fries to chase the wings. As soon as I walked into Sports Grill a man or waiter did not greet us well at all! He should be fired! The sports Grill I'm referring to is on Kendall and 97th. I wasn't aware of the time and he "stated we're closed" and he walked away with a horrible attitude and the worst part was there were a couple of people inside. I will never go back there asshole ! As I walked off I looked at my time and it was 11pm and online stated 11:30 that it closes. I was already having a really low day and this guy made it worst! Given that I have had lunch from here four times I believe I am now ready to review. I have always ordered the fish sandwich and although the fish has consistently been delicious the overall meal has had its flaws. Bread is soft, fish is well seasoned but the fries... oh the fries. The sweet potato fries have always seemed fried and then steamed. Never the thin strip of potato that is deep fried until they are crisp textured on the outside while remaining soft on the inside. They are just soft. I have tried the regular fries and although they are better they are not quite crispy. The coleslaw was also enjoyable, not the best, but enjoyable. Now my last order and the reason why I am rating them a three instead of a four. The last order, which included a couple of other sandwiches and a burger all arrived totally plain: no tomato, no onions, no tartar sauce, no lettuce... bread and fish and bread and burger. They make the best Patty Melt in town, the wings are my favorite and the service is always on point. I can't think of anytime we've had a bad experience at the Kendall Sports Grill.
