I've been a huge fan of Flappy's for a while but haven't seem to gotten around to write a review. Parking on the weekends is pretty rough. Besides the small parking lot, it gets crazy crowded. No surprise there as the food is delicious and there is something for everyone. I have enjoyed everything I've ever gotten from this establishment but I'll review my recent meals here. California Skillet (add sausage) They are great with customizable additions (ie, changing cheese type, crispier hash browns) This was filled with a mushrooms, broccoli, and a ton of hash browns! I have never been able to finish this myself and I shared with my sister. It had slices of avocado, plenty of sausage, and seriously - it's a lot of food. It also comes with two pancakes! Yeah! It's a real breakfast place. Flappy's Favorite Omelet: My mother opted for this gigantic egg dish. It was stuffed with ham and bell pepper and topped with cheese. The hash browns were crispy and it served for a few breakfasts after. We have gotten the Banana Nut Pecan Waffle and I've had some other skillets. I know that they will always provide great and massive portions. There is usually a wait on the weekends so come during an off time. Or - during these unprecedented times- order for curbside pickup and enjoy from the safety of your home. Either way, just make sure you get some of their food somehow!! read more

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had dining at this place. I ordered a gyro skillet with EXTRA gyro meat. Then they bring me this egg skillet with 3 pieces of gyro? Lol. The manager briannda, came to my table explaining to me that all their portions are weight out. I asked what the weight is supposed to be, she couldn't tell you more than her first name how educated she is. Absolutely 0 % of willing to help especially when I PAID for extra meat. I will never dine at this place ever again, worst service, horrible customer support. You're better off going to dennys where they won't cheap out on you especially when you PAY for extra portions. Visited around 9am on a holiday Monday and the place was buzzing with happy diners. We had a 3 minute wait for our table, which came with a view of oncomming freeway traffic. It was crazy sitting next to that, but we forgot about it surprisingly quickly. Sampled the German pancake (aka. Dutch Baby) and it was great. Well seasoned (a touch sweet) and crispy around the edgles. Added bacon and hashbrowns, which were both delicious. Only downside was the ~$20 pricetag. My daughter tried a waffle combo and it was pretty good too, the waffle was pretty sweet and tasted strongly of vanilla (more like an ice cream cone). Service was excellent, from the moment we arrived to the check we felt attended to and happy. Easy parking and tons of seating. read more

Busy place on a Sunday, looks like a local family favorite. For as many people in line, the wait time was pretty reasonable, so don't let the number of people waiting discourage you if you want to try this place, just ask. Looked like an hour wait but it was only 15 minutes. Service: was fine Food: large portions. definitely comfort food, where the gravy is rich and the bacon pieces are large and thick! Of course menu filled with different pancakes and your brunch favorites. Tried the regular French toast and regular pancakes with our meal, which tasted fine as expected. Next time will opt to try the stuffed French toast. Cleanliness: Looked pretty clean, from tables to floor. For as busy as it was, impressed with how they kept tidy. read more

From the moment I walked into this restaurant I loved it. I love to 50s decorations Elvis Presley mineral everyone in here great oldies music, doo-wop it's the best food was quick. Everything looks clean. Well kept the service was great professional nice everything ran very well. I had the country breakfast, and the gravy and biscuits were delicious. The bacon was perfect. Fantastic everything all the way around was really great. We were seated almost right away. It was a little busy, but it didn't matter. Everything ran very smooth. This is a great restaurant. Our church men's group been coming here for several years now. This place always delivers consistent food and service. The food here is great. Can't go wrong with choosing one of their many selections they have for breakfast. I love their Corned Beef Hash and Eggs. Tastes great, cooked right and it's a HUGE portion which I love. I never leave hungry. My buddy got the Pork Chop today and he always loves it. Cooked perfect and also tastes great. The service is also always on point. Claudia is the best. She's ALWAYS has a fresh pot of coffee and fresh cups of coffee for us the minute we sit down. Talk about great service. They are doing a really good job of practicing safe social distancing with tables and wearing masks and gloves. This place is also always super clean. A lot of diners are dirty and not well maintained. Not Flappy's. This place is clean and sanitary. Plenty of seating here even with the social distancing guidelines. You seriously cannot go wrong with eating a great tasting and filling breakfast here. We love coming here. read more

My boyfriend said give this a 4 because of wait time and parking but after i was thinking about it... all good places have a wait. Parking did suck but we were able to find something after all. This place was super yummy. Had plenty of options and the service was great. I LOVE breakfast and most importantly i love a good classic breakfast. This has great options and big portions. I got the classic breakfast, the hashbrowns were the best. Super crispy! My boyfriend got the Denver omelet and he thought it was good as well. We love flappy jacks and are sad this is their only location left open because it's a bit of a drive but when we are in the area, this diner can't be beat for atmosphere, friendly wait staff and breakfasts that you crave. We always order the Irish Benedict, corned beef hash, on English muffin with tomato and over medium egg with hollandaise sauce. Served with a side of hash browns. Then we also ordered the cinnamon bread French toast which was even delicious without the syrup. Coffee is always refilled and unlimited. Everything here is solid. I came here on a Sunday morning with a party of 5. Wait times are relatively accurate, and we were seated with 20-25 minutes. Huge selection of food that is almost overwhelming. I thought I was ordering on the lighter side with a wrap but was pleasantly surprised to find that it came with a soup, pasta salad, and fruit. I did not like the pasta salad and wish I opted for a different side. Everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy their meal. The skillet and french toast looked the best. All of our portions were huge and we all took home some leftovers. The only complaint I had was parking! The parking lot was almost full at 9am. We had to park off to the left near the car wash. The parking spots were so narrow and angled in a way that made it difficult for us to get out. Luckily, the car next to us was leaving but otherwise we'd be trapped! read more

My wife surprised me with this place. Never heard of it but I guess it is quite popular. There was quite a wait ahead of us, but they sat us down in about 10 or less minutes. The service was amazing. They were on point. Daniel was our server and he was a real pleasure. You don't get service like this anymore. The atmosphere was lively. 50s and 60s music playing in the background. The food? Ah May Zing!!!! Literally the BEST waffles I have ever had. My wife's cherry pancakes were like nothing we have ever had before. So darn good. Such a great place to go for a meal. They have a large menu so you will have lots to choose from. There is a large parking lot (it's next to the gas station) so no need to worry about that. Sometimes there can be a wait, but make sure your entire party is with you or else they will not seat you. We have small children so we were able to get high chair for our toddler and a car seat sling for our infant. Service is great here. We were quickly greeted and placed our drink orders quickly. They have a cold brew that hit the spot. They have regular half and half and also flavored creamers they bring to the table. Definitely made my morning! Food comes out relatively quickly and servers are attentive. Portion sizes are pretty big so be ready for that. I ordered the strawberry waffle but made it a combo. Waffle was so good and my daughter loved the strawberry compote that came with it. My eggs, hash browns and sausage were cooked to perfection. My boyfriend had the chorizo wrap. Flavors in this wrap were amazing and it is breakfast staple. The strawberry crepe was perfect. There literally was nothing left. The turkey ranch avocado wrap was HUGE! The portion size of this is insane. The combo of flavors left us wanting more. My daughter had the French toast and she loved it! Powder sugar is a safe bet for many kids but she actually loved dipping her French toast into the strawberry compote that came with my waffles so I highly recommend ordering a side of that. Flappy Jack's never disappoints! It's usually bustling in the mornings but wait times have never been too long (~15 minutes). Service is great, all the waiters I've had have always checked in with us at our table to see how we're doing and to ask if we need coffee or water refills. The food is so hearty and delicious--my go to is the Irish eggs benedict. The combo of poached eggs, hollandaise, and corn beef hash is perfect and incredibly filling (I usually have to take home leftovers!) This is hands down my favorite pancake joint. I've been twice now and the food and service is incredible. Unfortunately, the food is so appetizing that both times now, I have forgotten to snap shots of the food and immediately start digging in. This last time I ordered the stuffed cream of wheat pancakes with strawberry and it was just perfect. The pancakes by themselves had a unique fluffy, but also dense texture to them, and then the flavor of the lightly sweetened vanilla cheese curds elevated the taste so each bite was so enjoyable. Each time I've gone now, I've left uncomfortably full, which is a sign that the food is just fantastic. The vibe is a nice, homey diner, but the only downside is that there is such limited parking when you go. If you're going with a large party, I'd recommend carpooling if it's an option, because I've had to wait for a parking spot to open up both times now. I will say, however, that this place is worth the wait. :) read more

Went to Flappy Jack's and it was my first time... when we got there there were people waiting outside to be seated , I knew it was gonna be good by the people waiting outside the wait was about 25 min which is great and they probably sat us faster than 25 min... service was excellent the waiter was attentive an always coming around his knowledge of the menu was awesome he was very friendly and helpful. The menu had soo much food choices ... went with the cherry pancakes and I shared a turkey burger with my sis both amazing ! Y nephew ordered stuffed French toast and I wanted to eat those up too ...I want to go again! I must say I was pleasantly surprised on how good Flappy Jack's Pancake House was, it was a bit of a wait but well worth it. I had their Hawaiian Pancake combo and it was delicious. The pancakes came topped with whipped cream and had a pineapple syrup on the side. They tasted like I was eating pineapple upside down cake. It was a bit pricy but the was a pretty large portion so it kind evens out. Would love to come back again and try the stuffed French Toast. I wanted to try this place for so long, but every time I went, it was so packed. That's why I really thought these guys had some flavor magic going on with basic food. I'd have to say the hardest thing about sitting down here is finding something to order! The menu is HUGE! which can be good and bad as we all know. The Spartan is what I ordered this time around and it was everything I expected and more. Just delicious. They offered a side so I went with the gluten free pancakes. First I want to say that the food was amazing. The waitress and everyone we came in contact with were fabulous on another level. Service was great and couldn't have asked for more. I also called ahead to find out if they have an outdoor seating area for pets, as we were traveling with our small dog. Now, I can't say that they truly allow pets that aren't service animals, however since it was a Tuesday morning and they really weren't super busy, they agreed to allow us to bring a small pet as long as she was on a leash and they sat us alone outside.
