I have driven past this place many times and was curious how it was. I finally dropped in on a Wednesday for lunch. The parking was a bit tight. The restaurant was busy but not full. We ordered at the counter. The wait to order was short. The service staff were fast and efficient. We found a booth and waited for our order. The restaurant was clean. The bathrooms were okay. There was a water leak in the men's room that made the floor wet in one area. The restaurant was decorated nicely. It had a nice diner vibe. The noise level was okay, We ordered a Junior Burger, a Bacon Burger Combo and a side of French Fries. Our granddaughter requested the Hamburger Kid's Meal with Apple Juice. Our order was ready rather quickly. All the food came out hot. The Bacon Burger and Junior Burger tasted good. Both were flavorful and were well dressed. The buns were good. The fries were just okay. Not great but not bad. The granddaughter loved her meal. She ate over half of the hamburger (pretty good for her age). She ate all of her fries and part of mine. The portions on the Kid's meal were generous. The added bonus were the two lollipops that came with. This meal was in a kid friendly paper bag. The price was a bit up there but that's pretty much standard at most burger places. read more

Look, I love this place. It's probably 4-5 stars easy every time I go. But this morning, I just wanted my usual breakfast burrito for the morning on the weekend. The person before me placed an order for $415. I am next and told that it would be 30-40 minutes before I would be served. I asked, even for just a breakfast burrito? She confirmed with the kitchen that they would not be able to slot my simple breakfast burrito in before this gigantic order. Now, I get that you probably want to fulfill orders in the order they come in. I wouldn't really care if I had to wait 15 minutes if there were three families in front of me. But you let someone place an order for 20+ people that comes out to $400+ dollars and you can't find a way to slot in a breakfast burrito? You're going to turn away all business for 30-40 minutes because you can't have a kitchen work on multiple tickets at a time and get a small order out in the middle of a giant one? That's piss poor management and it's just downright disrespectful for people who might come after this giant order. I'll likely update my review in the future after I get more of their great fried zucchini and breakfast burritos as I go here quite often, but for now you have to stew in your 1-star for the horrible customer service and lack of proper kitchen management. read more

Another local favorite and part of our food rotation. It's definitely worth it and the food never disappoints. We usually order takeout and pickup within 20 minutes. I always order the garden burger combo, no onions or tomatoes, add pickle and extra sauce! The veggie patty is so hearty, delicious and filling. You can actually see the veggies in the garden patty. I wonder if they are homemade or ordered, either way they are top notch. The hubby orders various plates, but really enjoys the gyro and pastrami. The only thing I regret about Paul's Place is that it took me this long to try it. The restaurant's interior is the same of most diner style restaurants- welcoming and cozy. But it was the menu that made me realize I made the right decision to step in. The menu is split into American brunch and Mexican food. Hot dogs, burgers, burritos, salads, and tacos are abundant. I got the Carne Asada Burrito to play it safe and paired it with sweet potato fries. I'm glad I did, because it means I'm coming back to try everything else! The serving of the burrito was generous. Meat and beans with every bite, what more could one ask for? Sweet Potato Fries were sweet. They were also potatoes. And they were cut into fries. You get what you ask for in this case, and I'm glad I did. Zucchini fries? The crunch from the outside paired with the texture of the zucchini is an interesting but welcome experience. I suggest it. The staff offered salsa and large servings of ranch with the food, all of which were great additions to the already flavorful dishes I tried. I don't know Paul personally, but I'm glad I went to his place. Maybe if I meet him one day I can invite him to my place and he can teach me how to make good food, too. read more

I love Broasted Chicken. Paul's has great reviews on this but not for me sorry . Chicken was way overcooked some dry and parts were even lightly burnt. This was also a phone order to go. Still had to wait 15 minutes more they did try to offer me a drink but I already had ordered one. Ambiance is a nice looking place servers were also nice. Maybe next time when I'm in town I'll give them a shot again. Maybe . Or I'll just go to Huckleberries in Huntington Beach for broasted chicken read more

I used to live by a Paul's Place and always loved their menu. Some friends came to visit and wanted to bring Paul's! I was super excited and everything was as delicious as I remember! Called in on the way there for a to-go order. Sat on hold for 9 min, literally walked in the door , no one in line and ordered my food while on hold. I told the lady I was on hold for a to-go order. She either wasn't amused or didn't care. No empathy, no concern, just an hourly employee there for her shift.. too bad, the food is really good. read more

I have been to Paul's Place in Anaheim at Magnolia/La Palma great Restaurant and great food. Yesterday I went to the Paul's in Orange. During my order, the female waitress walked away 3-4 times to talk to other employees. I ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich with no onions. When I got home. the sandwich had grilled onions on it. As I took the grilled onions out, I saw the the cheese steak was half grissle and the other half appeared to be some type meat. I could not even eat the sandwich, it was a waste of my money. I could have gone back to the restaurant, however I live 20 minutes away. I will never fo to the location ever again. read more

Picked up a food phone order yesterday afternoon. Solid food with even better service. We ordered their Blue Bacon Burger, Chili Dog, Bowl of Chili, and Mushroom Cheeseburger. Everything was delicious and the lady working the front register was beyond amazing. She was super friendly and sweet. This was our first time trying Paul's Place and we will definitely be coming back. Another big plus is they have really good Orange Bang, which is a hidden gem drink find at most places now. Give Paul's Place a try and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. This is a great joint to get some good food and amazing customer service. A+! read more

I absolutely love Paul's. Everything about it. Seriously! The milkshakes are my favorite - I go back and forth between the peanut butter cup and butterfinger milkshakes and they always hit. I don't know what they put in their tuna but Paul's has my favorite tuna sandwich. I always order it on sour dough which is toasted (perfection) and comes loaded with tuna. I didn't get a picture but the Fried Zucchini Strips and onion rings are so crispy, delicious and tasty! No meal is complete without them. AND NEVER FORGET YOUR SIDE OF RANCH!!!!! The zucchini strips and ranch could be a meal in themselves. The staff are always nice, friendly, and patient. The food comes out quickly and is always hot and expertly cooked. I appreciate the indoor and outdoor seating options especially with kids. It's nice to sit out on the patio where the kids can be a little louder and not bother anyone and it's an added bonus you can see the trains go by from the patio. Came here for breakfast this morning and I don't think I will be back. - Waited 38 mins for lukewarm eggs and hashbrown. The toast was also cold. - Place wasn't busy and it felt very warm inside. - Most of the tables were dirty. This place has sure changed. Something tells me management isn't paying attention and the owners are cutting corners. Avoid this place, not worth the wait or the cold food. read more

While the food is still very good - the interior is really not clean. I am so surprised to see trash and food bits on the floor, tables not cleared and just a general sense that it isn't being cleaned well. I've come here recently and had cold Fries too, but when I took them to the counter they replaced them with fresh and hot ones. Food was great!!! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. I was unaware it was double but I ended up eating most of minus a few bites. It was a lot of food! I also for the twister fries aka curly fries. My son got the pulled pork sandwich & really enjoyed it. This place has a huge menu & there is something for everyone. I will definitely be back & try something different. This place was disappointing. First time there & won't be going back. I wanted to try their broasted chicken but it took 30 mins to cook. Would have been nice if that was put on the menu & I could have planned for it. The cashier taking our order didn't know the menu and had to look things up. Not inviting or friendly but rather rude. Gives us our receipt with no instructions as what we should do. So I asked, do we wait here? She then said, find a seat & we'll call your name, like I should have known that. So unorganized, unprofesstional and poor communication. No hard shell tacos should also be put on the menu as well. My food had chicken bones in it, sheesh! Food was bland. The hamburger was greasy and not enjoyable at all. We did not finish most of our food and left hungry. Not worth it and I was warned about this place. Came here for lunch with a friend who had been here before. It's an order-at-the-counter type of restaurant but more comfortable than a fast food place. Both our meals were good. Even though we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time, our food seemed to take quite a bit to be cooked. Maybe there was a shift change. Paul's Place is so good. We ate here a couple times while visiting family in the hospital down the street. First time was for a carry out breakfast. No pics taken but the breakfast burritos and pancakes were delicious. Then we came back for dinner a couple days later and according to my husband, the Colossal Burger was the best burger he's ever had. The chili was really good too and the mushrooms were unlike any others I've had. Normally it's a tiny mushroom in a bunch a breading, these were meaty mushrooms that paired perfectly with their ranch dressing. Both times we stopped by, the workers were super nice. Granted, and we understand, Sundays are very busy and it all takes time. However, our ticket was lost. Patrons came, ate, and , left before we finally were noticed (Probably because we stood up and perhaps felt our eyes.) After at LEAST 30 minutes someone asked who had our order. We received garbage. Usually enjoy my food at Paul's place but I tried something different today and it was a hard no. Got the carnitas burrito a side of red sauce... to start the carnitas are just basically shredded meat and has no flavor of actual carnitas, the beans were ok, the burrito itself was a bit watery. Honestly the only thing saving the day was the red Chile de arbol salsa. Hard pass on this burrito. Sad cuz I usually enjoy Paul's place read more
