My friends and I were in town for a bachelorette party, and thankfully Flat Creek was located 5 minutes away from our Airbnb. This vineyard is absolutely gorgeous (& made for the most perfect pictures!). I'm not much of a wine drinker, but the food was delicious. We shared the baked brie and flatbread and lemon parmesan brussel sprouts. For my main, I ordered the chicken picatta (a special, not on the menu). Highly recommend, but I was shocked to find out that the chicken picatta was $38. Personally think that's overpriced and would have gotten a pizza had I known. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available. We were seated outside and enjoyed the view. Unfortunately, a few flies did get into our wine when we stepped away to take pictures. But thankfully the staff replaced our glasses for free. The service was phenomenal for our party of 13, probably the best I've ever experienced. The staff was very knowledgable about the food and drink menu. Parking is easy with plenty of lot parking available. Overall, I loved my first experience here! I'd recommend it to anyone in the area. Also, it's about an hour away from Austin, but I'd say it's worth the drive, especially for a special occassion.

How our little group wound up here on a beautiful Sunday is a simple story. Another planned trip fell through. So after a little research this is where we chose to go. And it was a great choice. A little bit more of a drive than we thought from San Antonio, but it was well worth it. This vineyard is gorgeous and we were greeted with smiles and accommodated very well until we left. When we were not happy being outside we were moved to a private area inside. The tastings we chose were presented to us and explained to us so that we knew what we were getting. Visiting this vineyard helped us salvage a Sunday that started out bad -- but ended on a very nice note.

This estate winery sits on 80 acres with 22 acres planted with 20+ year old vines. In other words, everything that's grown here goes in the bottle here, no outsourcing (that hasn't always been the case). For the last 3+ years, the wines here have been under the guidance of a talented French wine maker who has steered the wines in a new direction compared to just 5 years ago. I was here many years ago and since then they have added additional buildings, a pavilion and even a PGA certified frisbee golf course. This place is perfect for entertaining large groups and they even have an on-site fine dining restaurant with a wood fired oven which completes the five star rating. This place is definitely upscale and you'll be spending some money here as the menus in the photo/video will attest. However, their wine prices are pretty much in league with every other Texas premium wine producer. This is a fine wine drinkers paradise, but they do make some sweet and bubbly wines along with port. They sell most of their wine through the wine club as opposed to retail. I cannot emphasize enough that out of all the Texas wineries, this one should be on everyone's list. I decided to add more informative videos than photos in order to really capture the scope of the offerings and amenities. Check 'em out.

The winery is beautiful and the service was good, although for dinner they have a very small variety of dishes the main is pizza , great wine selection too , but not the best choice for a romantic dinner , our favorite dish was an appetizer made of quail And jalapeño

Great visit to Flat Creek yesterday with my parents! The young man helping us out with the tastings was awesome--not even old enough to drink (legally) yet, but so knowledgeable about wine! Color me impressed! We tried the standard 4 tastings, then tried a white port (Mistella) and an Almond sparkling wine (at our host's suggestion) and those were great. We bought a bottle of each. The facility is beautiful, the elevator to the tasting room was an added bonus for slow-walking Dad, and we really enjoyed dropping in. A great Saturday visit!

This is my first visit to the winery. It was a little warm out, so we chose to try wines from the White Wine list. We sat outside in the beautiful outdoor patio. There was live music and a great atmosphere. The service was a little slow, but friendly. I tried the 2 Roses on the list. The Estate Rose was my favorite. There were distinct peach flavors, and it was crisp. The other wine I tried was the CA Rose. It had pear flavors. We also had the cheese and fruit tray as a starter, and it was very good. The variety of cheeses were perfect. Finally, we tried the prosciutto and pear pizza. It was delicious. The property is lovely.

Food out in the pavilion drinking wine listening to some awesome music on a Saturday afternoon was perfect. So pretty. Friendly staff. Great service. Great for the family or a date.

Adore this winery!! Honestly had no idea there was a winery like this in this location. The wine tasting is a generous amount that can be split with another person if you drove out there. Lovely place to walk around and explore their butterfly garden and beautiful grounds. They had live music when we visited which was great. Highly recommend!

First time visitor here and was surprised we didnt find this gem of a place sooner ! It is 30 mins from cedar park and so much closer compared to Dripping springs and Fredricksburg . Such a beautiful ride here in a cloudy day and the winery also was very pretty inside and outside . The service was good and we had a wine tasting session sitting outside with birds singing in the cute outdoor patio , was super relaxing . The person working there explained each wine so clearly and we loved the whites here, especially the muscat blanc. The fruit and nut and chocolate plate was also so good. This will be our go to winery from now on for a quick visit .

One of my fav pastimes is visiting wineries. During this trip we visited flat creek estate with my sister in law and mom. The grounds are simply amazing. There is so much seating available inside and outside. We went to tasting room. I had the white and my sister in law had the bubble tasting. I was throughly impressed with the bubble tasting. My fav was the almond as it was not sweet, and full of flavor. The white wines were great! The cuvée blanc was my favorite and the viognier took second place. The pours were good size, enough to really taste the wine and figure out all the notes. We had a cheese board, it was simple good cheeses and meats. Loved the candied pecans--- delish!! They have some great gift bags perfect for holiday gifts!! I almost forgot to mention they have a restaurant as well. We stopped in for lunch, had a pizza and Ceaser salad. Definitely want to come back when I'm in town again!!

FRENCH Wine MAKER Olivier met with us and described the process he uses in creating the wine.

    Can we bring kids(teen ages)?

Yes kids are welcome. Teens would love the disc golf course!

    Are reservations absolutely needed?

If you are ok being outside at the pavilion or at various picnic tables around the venue, then you do not need reservations for food or drink. Reservations are only required if you want to eat /drink in the food hall for lunch, dinner, etc.

    Are dogs allowed here?

Friendly dogs are allowed, but the winery's policy is to keep them on leash and outdoors. There is a beautiful downstairs seating area and the restaurant also has outside seating. There is lots of beautiful grounds to explore with dogs, including a…

The venue is under new ownership now but I had worked with Benita throughout my planning and she has been amazing throughout the whole process. I also added on day of coordinator service and Benita took care of all the details so that I can relax and enjoy my wedding. Out of all the venues I looked at, The Terrace was the most affordable for my budget and I didn't need to worry about table or chair rentals. They have a kitchen, walk-in fridge, and regular freezer so you have access to set-up in the back or early off of supplies. It was also a great help that they had some decors available, so I didn't have to worry about spending extra for this. Overall, I really liked the space and how convenient it was to have the ceremony and reception in one location. BUT, everything goes down hill when the food and and servers are horrible. The food super cold and the servers were cold as well. Servers didn't pick up salad plates when serving entrees. All of our food was cold, the chicken, veggies and bread were iced cold. I wouldn't do an event here knowing how it is. The only positive besides view and location was the bartender. Lori was amazing and very serviceable. Her attitude and customer service was on point. But for sure. I works recommend this place unless is just for pictures.

Every detail of this place is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I were married here in April 2024 and we seriously talk about this venue and all of its magic at least once a week since then. We wanted to have a small intimate gathering that had a very organic look. In the spring, this place really comes to life, the birds, the butterflies, the way the light shines through the windows in La Casa De Joy, everything felt like a fairytale. The venue is tucked away in a sweet lakeside neighborhood as well so the drive there in the spring is country roads lined with wildflowers and bluebonnets which was an added plus. We rented the entire venue and had some guests stay in the other houses on the property while we stayed in La Casa De Joy and everyone absolutely loved it. We heard nothing but positive things from every guest. Such a unique venue. Not to mention, Travis, the property manager was an absolute delight to work with. Really so so kind and understanding of our wants and needs and was truly there to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be coming back to relive our wedding day each year with a stay at La Casa De Joy. Truly such a gem of an experience. This caused my booking to be cancelled and I had to rebook and reverify. VERY inconvenient but everything got worked out. When you pay $900+ per night you don't want to be inconvenienced while trying to book. The Reserve is a nice community, but like all managed "premier planned" suburban areas they are very Nazi-ish with rules and enforcement. Again, when you're paying over $900 per night it's very off-putting and insulting to constantly be reminded of the rules. They treat you like you're a college kid trying to sneak and throw a frat party while you're parents are away for the weekend. Our rental even had cameras on the house that were actively being monitored (details below). VALUE: I don't normally complain about price so I won't do it here. Let's just say that this place is expensive. I voluntarily paid the money but it's a high price. HOUSE: Nice place, very clean. Premium decor - Texas modern rustic. Complimentary prosecco in the fridge upon arrival was a nice touch. Bring your own food/drinks/condiments (salt, pepper, etc.)/ice. All utensils for just about any kind of cooking and everything needed to have nice dinner parties were there. We had an issue with POOL: I did a cabana rental for 2 days at $50 per day. Rentals include a complimentary pitcher of beer or margarita per day. Pool was nice and in good shape. Lazy river, kids pool and infinity pool as well as swim up bar and snack bar are all part of the pool. You aren't allowed to bring any alcoholic beverages, food, or coolers into the pool area. There's enough restaurants, entertainment, etc. 45 minutes away. All-in-all this was a good place to stay. The main reason this is not a 5-Star review is because I was contacted by TurnKey with a threatening call because the management/owner were watching us on the Arlo/Netgear camera (Nazi-ish) on the back patio (there's a camera on the front porch and back patio) and thought that one of my guests was on the back patio smoking. None of us are smokers and it was insulting for them to accuse us of smoking (I'll say it again for emphasis... when you're paying over $900 per night).

The marina is treated somehow as well so that the cobwebs and spiders don't take over your boat and slip area, which is super nice and convenient. There is also room for outdoor kitchens and patio furniture at the front of each slip. People have grills and stuff out there too. I gathered that it is a thing to just hang out at your slip area and cook out with your friends and family and you may or may not even take the boat out. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being incredibly frustrating and disappointing. We had a simple but important request: to have outside kosher food for a small number of guests who keep strict dietary laws. We weren't asking to forgo their catering--just to bring in meals to accommodate religious needs. The venue refused outright, claiming "insurance restrictions," yet they offered no explanation of those restrictions, and no willingness to explore reasonable workarounds like guest waivers, additional insurance, or even discussing the options the caterer presented like naming them on their own insurance. We felt like we presented many creative and reasonable solutions that absolved them of liability and there was no legitimate reason to not move forward. Worse, we were consistently treated like an inconvenience. Messages and emails were ignored for days or weeks at a time--if they responded at all. We were never given the sense that they valued us as potential clients or were interested in helping us create a meaningful, inclusive event. This experience left us feeling dismissed and disrespected. If you're planning a wedding with any religious, cultural, or dietary considerations--or if you just expect professionalism and responsiveness--this may not be the right venue for you.
