We spent a Friday afternoon here with our son and his husband while in Seattle for a wedding. We had so much fun and having been to another location the last time we were visiting, I'd have to say this location was my favorite. We were taken care of by the bartender, Jess, and she did a great job of explaining the games, rules, pricing, etc to us when we first got there. This place has almost everything! They do not have food before 3:00, but they will let you bring in whatever food you would like, and they do not have hard liquor. Beer and wine only. They offer a lifetime membership, leagues, single game prices for duffle board or miniature golf, and a package deal that includes all the duffle board you can play and a game of miniature golf for $10. This location is downstairs and might be a bit hard to find the first time, but it is well used by people looking for a place to work (that's not a coffee shop!), team meetings/activities, parties and get togethers (they have lots of tucked away tables/spaces for private parties) and just anyone wanting to have fun! Besides the miniature golf on the lower level, they have tons of additional games to play in each of the table areas. Flatstick Pub is what i would call a millenials bar. There are a bunch of games; duffleboard, mini golf and some board games. I didn't really get to play many games because it was pretty crowded, it was a friday night around 9:30. The bar offers a lot of different option for cider and beer. I tried a couple of different ciders one by finn river called solstice saffron and the other which was incline guava lime hibiscus cider, it had hints of floral notes it tasted pretty good. Another cool thing is they're pet friendly. This is a pretty cool place to stop in for a drink during the day while you're walking your dog and for the night a really cute first date option. There are two floors in this location. upstairs is where the main bar at. They do have games upstairs as well. When I headed downstairs, first thing in my mind came up was "WOW" where have I been all these years not stopping by here. It was an amazing experience for me. I only tried one of their drink. This is probably my favorite pub/hangout spot to go to in Pioneer Square. The staff is always ready to serve and super friendly. Throughout the pub it's always kept clean and well maintained. I also love that there's random stickers everywhere you go. Flagstick offers a fat variety of local beers, ciders and hard seltzers on tap (personally my favorite is the Passion Mango!!!) They also have mini-golf, duffleboard, darts & etc. that are always fun to play. Although I haven't been to Flagstick on a weekend, or during a time that it would be crowded, I always enjoy my time here. 10/10 recommend to anyone who's in the neighborhood and needs a place to relax, chill and have fun! read more

It's a Friday night, do you have any plans? For me, I did not. But I wanted to make plans! Keep in mind this place is 21+ so you can't bring liabilities (aka anyone younger than 21). I made a reservation for my cousins and I earlier that day. It was less than a 6 hour notice, and I was able to get in a 10:50PM reservation. I could have booked an earlier reservation at 9:10PM, but we have girlies who work. Parking in downtown make you sick? Honestly same. Surprisingly, I was able to find parking on 2nd ave when you turn left from Washington St. Considering it was Friday night, the clubs were just getting started and the baseball game had just ended, I could not believe how fast I found parking. I wish this to be true anytime I go to downtown. But back to more important notes. Parking can be shitty. I do recommend going a bit early to anticipate making circles. For the place itself, it blends in well with the rest of the area. The door is next to this pizzaria, which is so cute! I'd watch your step as you enter because it's underground! I mean, what do you expect. It's pioneer square, iykyk. As you walk in, it's loud. I mean as a new adult trying to navigate back into society after restrictions and limitations, I was a little overstimulated. We were not greeted with anyone in the front for ID checks. But they did check my ID for drinks and reservation (for those thinking you can get in like that forreal). You have to go down the first set of stairs to an even lowered area where the mini golf is. I tried checking in 20 minutes before my scheduled time, but there was a waitlist of people who could go if another party didn't show up. We went up to the main floor once you enter. We got a couple drinks. They're 1/2 off your first drink, you gotta download the app though. It was enough time to drink my cider and drink my cousin's cider to have a happy fun time. We had to actually check in with the guy downstairs. He checks you in and shows you where the clubs are. He will be the one to give you your balls. He gave my cousins and I the same color of the Philippines flag. You think he knew I am Filipino? Or coincidence? Going through the courses were fun! If you're not familiar with Golf, this is a wonderful introduction. If you are, it's also fun for you. I would say the first hole is hella hard. Did I do more than 8 chances? Maybe. The course spells out SEATTLE, which is adorable. The last hole you get one chance in order for them to collect their balls. They also leave a caddy next to the hole for you to put your club. There are activities in the rooms around the course while you wait, or as you finish. You can also host parties, or groups as some of the rooms are big enough with a table and chairs. Overall, my experience, atmosphere, and price (which was $8 per person), definitely a 4/5!!!! I just wish it was a little longer and more time between groups. We were waiting 5-10 minutes because it was only 3 of us in our group and the two groups ahead of us had 5 people (which is the max) read more

Flatstick is pretty much the ultimate adult playground! No kiddies allowed, tons of local beers and ciders along with some wines, and a lot of games -- perfect place to spend the day! As you've guessed by the name, they have mini golf which is the main feature downstairs. I love it because it spells out Seattle and the 9th hole has a large Space Needle. Get a hole in one and the ball will get a ride to the top! While somewhat small, the course is more challenging than it looks...or maybe I just really suck at mini-golf! The downstairs portion also has 2 sets of giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, several tabletop/plunger golf games (think duffleboard meets pinball), huge projector TV, and a ton of board/tabletop games! They also have a mini bar (4 taps) in the downstairs area if you don't want to travel back up to the main section. The main floor hosts duffleboard, which is a Flatstick creation. It's basically a shuffleboard meets golf game -- love it! Over time some of the tables have warped so my technique for scoring the perfect game have to keep changing, which can be annoying, but also keeps things fresh. You'll also find tabletop games on the main floor, including Cards Against Humanity and Exploding Kittens. The main floor also hosts the main bar area, which has something like 30 rotating taps for beer/cider, including a nitro, plus some wine -- all of which is local! For an extra $2 you can make it a beer float! As of this moment, they're not serving food and encourage you to bring your own in. I'm happy to say that I was a guinea pig for trying Manu's tacos and they're awesome! Really great flavours using locally sourced ingredients. They've recently passed all of the health inspections and expect to officially be open within a couple of weeks. If you're local and you love it, go for a membership! $50 seems pricey, but it pays for itself very, very quickly. Not only do you get a pint glass and a shirt, there's a members' event every month (free pizza!) and they also have a monthly deal which is typically too good to pass up. read more

I visited Flatstick Pub with my husband on a Friday evening for beers, mini golf, and duffleboard. We arrived around 5:00pm with enough time to enjoy some beers during their happy hour (amazing prices!). I love that they feature all local breweries and have a vast (25+) selection of taps. Their menu board is also electronic with features special indicators to show what had "just been tapped", level of the keg, prices, and additional beer specks. My only complaint is that the text was a bit small and hard to read from beyond the bar. You can ask them for a tablet that also shows the same list--I suggest this even if you have good vision like I do. The location has ample open seating space, making it a great place to bring groups together (and with walk-up-to-the-bar ordering, you won't have to worry about splitting the check at the end of the night). Additional games around the area also add surprise fun while you are there. Duffleboard was my favorite of the night (think a mix of mini golf with shuffle board). This required some skill along with strategy and became very competitive between the two of us. It also would allow more people to play with less time than it would take for your group to get through mini golf (which is fun, but is a short 9 hole, and included an abundance of waiting to do the mass of people playing). If this place started serving a quality food menu, it would be 5 stars. As of right now, its just beer. Great if you just want to drink....poor if you are a bit hungry. It does get super packed so be prepared to be rubbing shoulders at certain points. The lines for beer get long but the staff does a really good job at clearing them out quickly. Located in between Chinatown and Pioneer Square, Flatstick is a casual, underground pub. It can get a little sketchy walking around Pioneer Square, but it was a cool place to relax. I love the amount of space between the mini golf holes at the Seattle location and it's a major bonus that they have a 10 foot neon Space Needle replica by the last hole. I love all of the Washington decorations throughout Flatstick and love how they've kept it a local bar at both of their locations. I love coming to Flatstick for a date night with my boyfriend or with larger groups as it mixes a traditional bar with a lot of fun activities. Flatstick is a Seattle must do! There's private sections/tables if you are hosting a party. This is located in Pioneer Square, there's another location in Kirkland, but I assume both places sets out different vibes. You can a lot of people stopping in here after a game since it's close to Century Link Stadium. First time ever playing this game and it was so much fun! I wish we had places like this in the middle of nowhere New York. These are reasons I need to move to big cities to enjoy fun bars and good food. We stopped in for happy hour and ordered 2 of each of mushroom tacos, pork, and the braised beef tacos. We added chips and queso to the order. The tacos are mini like authentic street tacos. The mushroom was pretty good but it was a bit too busy for me with all the extra toppings on it. There was a kick to it as well that I wasn't really expecting. The boys enjoyed their meat tacos. We liked the queso, it was thinner than I've had before but still good. It was a typical bar scene with some games on the side. What I enjoyed was that there was a water jug for self-service of water so you don't have to bug the bartenders. I've been here a couple of times for work parties and for fun, I think a round of golf is like 4$ which is super affordable but still do the Groupon for an even better deal! Two things I will say is that the staff probably gets pretty stressed out because it's very crowded and that doesn't put them in the best mood. The girl at the bar was rude when she asked us what we wanted. The was short and snappy when she didn't have what we asked for. Kinda killed the good vibe we were having. I was able to snag one at the bar and then went back to sit with my boyfriend while he was eating. I set the glass on the table and someone must have though it was dirty because a couple of mins later it was gone. When I went back to the bar to ask for that one back she was like "we don't have that color" and gave me a green one :( That was slightly disappointing. Unfortunately our experience here was marred by poor service, rude servers, an uninviting atmosphere, and an overall disappointing and unsatisfying experience. Upon our arrival in this dismal, dark, and arctic cold atmosphere, it should have been little surprise that the service was equally cold. The bartender we interacted with was consistently rude, refusing to offer drink samples, and acting like this was an unreasonable request. Later, when we ordered from a different bartender, they were friendly, polite, and allowed samplers. The inconsistency in service was jarring to us. I believe it should be standardized amongst all the staff whether samples should be allowed or not, although it is usually standard of practice for bars to allow samples. In addition, a server was incredibly rude to us concerning our dogs. Our party had several dogs among us, as we often frequent dog friendly bars. One dog was properly leashed to our table, but the leash was pulled loose. Our dog was standing next to the owner, and was not being disruptive whatsoever. However, a bartender immediately stormed by, stating loudly, "Whose dog is this!? All dogs need to be leashed by their owner! This is not a petting zoo!" As a resident of Seattle, where there are more dogs than kids, I completely understand that restaurants are under pressure to maintain both a dog friendly environment as well as abide by public health regulations. However, this reaction was completely unprofessional and unwarranted. It was very disrespectful and unwelcoming. Overall, a disappointing experience that I do not wish to repeat. I do not recommend this bar to any of my friends, or even enemies. And the guacamole wasn't even that good. read more

This pub is great! What a concept! The mini-golf is a lot of fun. If you go, you will have to try out "Duffle board." It was free the last time I was there. It's a good game to keep the fun going after playing mini-golf. They sell beer, cider, and tacos! The place is in the basement and the build out was done nicely. It's a comfortable place to go. It feels safe and I was happy to be there. Make sure you schedule your time at mini-golf. You can do it seven days out. If you don't, you won't get a spot to play. They fill-up pretty fast. Unexpected: The guy that gives out the golf balls is very knowledgeable and nice. I was surprised how much he did for everyone. He is a star employee for sure! read more
