This is a cute and quaint little local diner. The menu was extensive, and I want to try their breakfast next time. On this visit, we were all about the burgers. My friend got a hamburger, and it was done to her liking. She devoured it! I got a veggie burger with bacon because I love bacon, and I don't like beef. They have a good veggie burger that tastes like it's made in-house. The fries were super crispy. The service was friendly and very helpful. The prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Very friendly place!!! Chicken Club, Country Omelette & Burritos were all very good!!! Asked for crispy home fries& they actually were!!! Waiters were very friendly & patient!!! Just wished they would of asked to refill our glasses before they bought our check & we were finished!!! Nice clean place & nice decor!!! Check this place out if you're in the area!!!

We loved F.A.T.S! When we arrived, they were packed but we got a table right away. The service was speedy and the food came out hot and tasty. They also have a food truck that is equally as delicious!

The rules of engagement at this mainly female run establishment are enter, pick your own table and someone will be over soon. This restaurant is on a side street off the main square in Painesville. It serves reasonably priced breakfast and lunch options, with daily specials for both dining sessions. They offer a variety of soups and sandwiches, with a salad bar I have yet to explore but have seen. Last time I came here I had the tuna salad lunch sandwich, on a croissant (+$1), with fries and a coke. Their soda machine was having troubles this day but the staff was able to accommodate with serving from a 2L bottle instead. I would recommend. P.s. When you get your check, know that your waitress will not return and that you pay by the door before exiting instead.

Excellent lunch today. Had the fish sandwich that came with Mac & cheese as well as cole slaw. The fish was fresh and cooked perfectly served with a fresh bun, lettuce, and tomato. Mac and cheese had good flavor. Loved the coke slaw. Friendly service. They also have a soup and salad bar. Would recommend this place for lunch.

First, there really is no seating while waiting for a table. Second, the hostess underestimated our wait time. We were told 20 minutes when it actually took 45 minutes. To be fair, I don't entirely blame her. When I mentioned how long we had been waiting, she apologized for being understaffed. EVERY PLACE seems to have the same problem so I get it. But what the real issue may be for Ridgewood Kitchen is an ability to be even semi-accurate in how long it will take a table to turn over. There were three elderly couples seated at a table when we arrived. They had clearly finished their meals & were conversing. They did so for another hour & forty-five minutes! How can a restaurant deal with that?!? Ridgewood Kitchen is still a great choice for food & table service. Just be aware the wait time for a table may be considerably longer than quoted.

"Hook and Hoof" has been in downtown Willoughby for quite a while so they must be doing something right. And the fact that there aren't that many high level dining establishments in the Willoughby area helps. The first thing I noticed was the facility is very narrow which lends to a crowded feel. And all you need is one overly boisterous table (which was right next to us) and the noise level can be overwhelming. The server we had for the evening was very pleasant. She did a good job being timely with everything. But, it was odd that she often did not listen to an entire request (or maybe just couldn't hear) before walking away. There were a couple of requests for simple standard items that she wasn't even sure they had. I just found it odd. The food however was excellent. The kitchen staff did an exemplary job all night. I had a marvelous cocktail from the well stocked bar. And my double cut pork chop was fantastic. So full of flavor, juicy, cooked exactly as I requested. The sides that accompanied it were just tender enough without being mushy. And my banana cream pie was great. Overall, I give "Hook and Hoof" a solid 4. I definitely can see us going back. They deserve another try. You should give them a try and see for yourself.

Table by the fireplace was ready before we finished. Leah recognized us from 3 weeks ago. She brought water in glass, not plastic, remembered our food allergies, split our 14oz steak onto two plates before serving, and split our bill down the middle 50-50. Steak was perfect thanks to the chef, real mashed potatoes like homemade, and green beans weren't drowning in processed oils. Caught happy hour: diet Dr Pepper + ice cream with rum for dessert. Solid move. Danced the whole first set. Came back to an empty table -- purses still there in plain sight, plus six tall glasses of ice water, one full cocktail each, and one partially drunk Palermo each. Should've been a clue to the busser we weren't done. Spoke with Christian, the manager. Professional, pleasant, and made it right immediately. Ambience is above average: great lighting, defined dance floor, and a jaw-dropping koi pond. isn't Michelin-star, but it checks most boxes and is in my top 10 go-tos. Katie, Leah, and Christian were standout. Will be back

While my friends loved their food (Buttonhole salad for one and Reuben for the other) my "Zapper" burger was just not good tasting. Bottom bun was completely soggy. The meat tasted off. I'd recommend they go with a different dill pickle provider as the pickle spear wasn't great either. Maybe next time I'll try the Tuna .
