It was 8:30 a.m. and our server noted that she hadn't had enough coffee yet. . The inside was decorated nicely and tables were clean. I had the biscuits and gravy. It was ok. The buffet was good but we made reservations for 11:30 and we were not seated until 12:15. I made the reservation three weeks in advance. They were very overwhelmed by the amount of people that were there, but reservations should have come first. Then the when the bill came the server dropped one check for our whole table of 9 without asking if we needed it split and ignored us when we tried to ask her to split it. We were never told it would be one check so we were not prepared for that. Had we be told we all would have made sure we had cash. My stepsister made a Father's Day reservation for 9:30 AM for our party which was about 12 people, adults and children mixed. She received a phone call from the restaurant at 9:10 that if she didn't arrive at the restaurant within the next five minutes that they were going to give up the reservation, which is 15 minutes before we were supposed to arrive. She did make it within that time and there was no table ready for our group. Everyone else from the group had arrived before 9:30 am, and there was still no seating available. They said they were waiting for a table to be cleared but over a dozen other people were seated while we waited outside the restaurant, including two reserved parties called in after we had arrived. I did not personally observe it but my sister also stated that the hostess was rude during this process and we were not seated at all until 10:15 AM which was an hour after my sister arrived and 45 minutes after our reservation time with no apologies or explanation from the restaurant. My overall impression was that the restaurant seems ill equipped to handle a larger party reservation and if this is the case, then they should not take reservations for a larger party. That screams poor management to me as a patron. I will say that once we were finally seated the waitress over our area was excellent. She was friendly, attentive and i have no complaints in that area. We all ordered the buffet and the food was pretty average. Nothing exceptional. Some things better quality than others. Some of the family liked it and some weren't impressed. Personally, I was neutral, I found it decent overall. If I were part of a smaller party and local to the area I'd consider returning, but under no circumstances can I recommend trying to get a seat, even with reservations as part of a larger party since they really don't seem equipped to handle that situation well at all with any semblance of professionalism or time management on the managerial side. For the service from the waitstaff, five stars. For the professionalism and preparedness of the restaurant, one star. For the food itself, three stars, resulting in a net ranking of three stars. read more

I called before heading over to make sure they were still serving breakfast, and they answered in a timely manner and were very pleasant over the phone. Walking in, I got greeted at the door by all staff with warm smiles. This is exactly what I needed after a rough day! The restaurant was nicely decorated with Christmas stuff and very clean! Michele was my server and took great care of me. She was very attentive and kind. I ordered a veggie Omelette with a few modifications, and it came out quickly, and it was the best breakfast I've had in a very long time. We went for the breakfast buffet on the weekends. It's fine - but heaven forbid you ask for a refill on your drink. Our waitress basically acted like we were bothering her when we asked for our empty cups to be refilled. And they don't take dirty plates when you go up to the buffet, so the tables get messy quickly. As for the food - it's fine. It's nothing great, basically cafeteria food is how we described it. Powdered eggs (which I like), French toast, pancakes, eggs Benedict, bacon, sausage, gravy, biscuits. But the fruit was great! The fruit was so fresh and we ate tons of it. Their breakfast is fantastic! Always a go to for us in the office when we want to do a breakfast Friday. The staff is iffy depending on the day. Sometimes they are very friendly, but sometimes it feels like we are bothering them and wasting their time when we call up to make an order (and we have our orders all set, not like we are dithering on the phone with them, we know what we want). Lunch menu is a little hit and miss. Fish is good and their breaded portabella mushrooms are huge hit. Get to the register and the tiny fine print says *up to $5 off. THERE IS NO $5 DINNER so kind of a bait and switch thing going on. The gal at the register says "yea, no one can read that fine print." Coupon should just be printed to say $5 off two dinners and 2 beverages. Spent almost $40 for lousy food, what a rip off. My husband was supposed to get a dessert with his dinner but never got it. I ordered that. The salad bar is not huge but it has a decent variety of stuff. The soups there are 4 were really good. The size of the bowls were decent too. Better than a cup not as good as a full bowl. My partner got the stuffed cabbage. 2 huge pieces, mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies. Plus the soup and salad bar. It was a giant portion. I snagged a bite and it was delish. But so much food! She had to take most of it home. We also got a free dessert because she got an entree special. We split the rice pudding. Again delish. Our server was Michelle. It was her 3rd day. She was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely go back when in the area again. No hesitation. Good food at a great price! Each time it was to catch their daily lunch special that includes whatever entrees that are available for that day along with a unlimited soup and salad bar! The soup and salad surprisingly get you pretty full before your actual meal comes out. The salad bar is always nice and neat and the soups are seemly fresh and hot. There are about 4 different assortments of soups as well. All together you get all this for around $6.49! This is a family style restaurant with a big, big menu. Everything pretty much seemed food service type quality. I don't think they are cooking much from scratch in the kitchen. We were there for dinner. Maybe breakfast would be homemade. The place was PACKED when we got there at 6:45ish on a Saturday night. Everyone coming and going seemed very happy with the new restaurant. The crowd was majority older retired age clientele. All the dinners came with soup and salad bar, a bread and desert. The dinner prices ranged from $10-$15. They had chicken dishes, steaks, seafood, Italian pastas, ribs, meatloaf, perogies, pot pie, etc. Our party ordered a BBQ rib dinner, the ribeye and the salmon. Those each came with a potato and vegetable, bread, soup, salad and dessert and our bill including tax was $41. You get a lot of average quality food for a low price. The staff seemed very attentive to everyone and were quite friendly and welcoming. I didn't make it into these restrooms, but the restaurant looked clean except for the floors. Those I blame on the self serve soup and salad bar. I'm not a fan of them in the first place and they tend to be difficult to keep clean as diners overload their plates and drop food everywhere. Went on a Friday night for their all you can eat fish fry. Waited 20 minutes, got seated and were told they were all out of the cod but still had perch and shrimp. We ordered 2 perch dinners. Food was barely average. When we asked for a reorder, the waitress told us they weren't doing the all you can eat. There were at least 2 signs in the restaurant saying Friday night was all you can eat cod, perch or shrimp. When I told the waitress I never would of ordered what I did if we had known. She did bring us 2 more pieces. $14 for a handful of cold fries and two pieces of fish, not worth it. read more

The services is always good when I go. This is the second time I've tried to order hot tea and their out of teabags. I do not drink coffee, so I had water. I had the "Golden Belgian Waffle". Was very unhappy with what I got. 4 Round Small Waffles, I couldn't figured out what I was looking at at first. There was a couple scoops of strawberry pie filling (more pie filling than strawberries) out of a can on the top, the waffle was extremely soft and gummy and had to use my knife to cut it.
