This used to be our *Go to* Indian food place when it opened a few yeas ago and it is still very good. We used to live very close to this place( on 13 mile) then. There was not too many places in Michigan and still aren't that have such a good combination of ambience and good food taste! Their service is also good! They have a private (can be enclosed) space for small parties too. They have a daily buffet - very few Indian restaurants have started Buffets after the Pandemic. We went here today and the food was very good again. Lots of variety at the "all you can eat buffet for $17 per person" Definitely recommend for Indian food!

This was our first time here and did enjoy the experience. We have only had Indian food a few times (hubby even less than I have) so I think we need to spend more time researching the items we order next time. Samosa: oh my gawd...these were incredible and I wound up having to order another round of samosa's as folks at the table could not stop taking mine. Hot and sour soup: Don't even think that this is the same as what you would get at a chinese restaurant. It is savory, it is loaded with veggies, full of flavor and a definite kick of heat. It was a bit too spicy for me (sensitive stomach) so I probably would not order it again but my husband definitely would. Butter chicken: hubby ordered butter chicken as he never had it before but heard how great it was. He really enjoyed it and was thinking the entire time about how to make it dairy-free for me at home. He ordered it medium spicy and it was perfect for him. Naan: warm and garlicy

It was my first time at an Indian restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was, as well as how the restaurant smell and looked. The decor is different and interesting, a lot of thought was spent on the decor, as well as the bathroom amenities. My favorite was a grilled fish that had to be preordered, then a rice wrap stuffed w veggies that came with a delicious sauce you could deep it into. The food tasted fresh and like good quality. I would definitely recommend this spot especially if you are newbie to the Indian cuisine.

Delicious food and nice service, however...the food took at least half an hour to come out. Regardless, the restaurant was very clean and the staff was helpful.

One of the best Indian food I have ever had in the USA. Their curries, appetizers, breads, and soups, all were really good. We went during the dinner time on a Friday evening. We ordered, paneer makhni, dal tadka, hot and sour soup, Gobi machurian, paratha, roti and naan. They also have a good selection of drinks. The service was very quick and the staff is also very courteous. We were a big group of 10+ people and the staff was very accommodative in finding us a big table. The ambience of the restaurant is also very lively. Highly recommend this place and will surely visit again when I am in the area.

I called an order in for carry out. The food would take about 30 minutes to come out. We ordered a butter chicken, Chmasala, Gobi Manchurian and garlic naan bread. Total was around $37. The food containers were really well wrapped, no spills at all. The gobi Manchurian tasted good, a bit sweeter than I am used to, it wasn't spicy at all. The butter chicken was tasty, maybe smaller chunks, they are quite sizable here. The garlic naan was good, chewy and nicely flavored. The Chana masala was good as well.

Carry out bagara baingan. Down to 2.5 baby eggplants in the entire entree.

India flavors, what have you done?! The food tastes excellent. It has been since we started going here, primarily for carry out, a few years ago. In the past when you called and were told 25 minutes it meant 30 and that's a-ok. Sometimes it was even 35 on a busier night and that was fine too. Then something changed. About six months ago the portions shrunk. Fewer lentils and beans in the Dahl makhani, half the eggplant in the bagara baingan. Very disappointing but we were still pretty loyal so we carried on. Then the carry out disasters struck. The last three times 25-30 minutes turned into 50-70 minutes while being told "five more minutes, just waiting on one item" over and over again. Same story each time. Our last visit unfolded the same way for us and everyone else waiting for their orders. Multiple customers, including myself, went from patient to angry after the lies and the extra 30+ minute wait. I asked for a refund but was stalled when they went to check "one more time" and stayed in back for another 5-10 minutes until they came out with our food. While driving away we noticed they forgot an item so I went back in and two of the other customers that were previously stuck in carry out purgatory with me were also back. One told me wanted a refund on their gulab jamun as there were only three in the container. The other, who had been waiting longer than me for fewer items was trying to get his refund but they told him they couldn't find his order in the system...the order that they had been telling him was almost ready for almost 40 minutes now...the order that he had a confirmation for... What happened to you India Flavors? We used to love you and we want to still but you are falling apart and leaving your regulars infuriated. We need some space. After this last visit I realize it's not us, it's you.

This Indian restaurant is pretty good. Has enough space for private parties. Offers buffet on weekends. Food is good (my hubby and his friends are weekly regulars). Service is fast. Ambience is there. So why 4 stars? It's a bit on a pricey side. Definitely recommend

Our craving for Indian cuisine brought us to India Flavors, and the food here didn't disappoint! The restaurant is about a 40-minute drive from our home, and we had to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated. The buffet had more than 10 different vegetarian and meat options, ranging from butter chicken to lentil. The mango lassi was absolutely delicious, as well! I definitely plan on dining here again!

This place was a whole package experience for us and we will absolutely be back. This was our first time being back to an Indian buffet since pre-Covid times and it's been sorely missed! I can't even say enough amazing things about the team that worked here. I was definitely ready to bail with our almost 2 year old in the event she was too much in the location, but every employee we interacted with talked to her and made sure to ask how we liked the food. The array wasn't too extensive as compared to some other places we had been to before everything shut down, but every dish we tried was amazing. They had options that were very kid friendly, too with their garden salad and watermelon. Overall such an outstanding experience! So happy this place is here.

OMG!!!! What a mouthwatering delicious experience! We stopped there a few days ago for dinner. This is a very spacious and quiet large restaurant. This is family friendly and business casual as well. Their food tastes delicious. They have a lot of vegetarian options. Their Paneer Tikka Masala is a super hit. We also ordered multiple desserts and they were delicious as well. They have quite good menu items to choose from. They are located in this little strip mall and have a large parking space available. The hosts were kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this place.

I came here this past Friday with a group of friends, for another friend's housewarming party, as she lives in the area. A loooooong time ago this used to be a place called Panda Buffet, and wow, has the interior changed - it's super classy and modern, and very nice. We had a group of about 10-12 people, so were seated in the back. I had the Butter Chicken, as opposed to my normal Chicken Tikka Masala, and it was very good. My boyfriend had some sort of lamb dish, which was super spicy, and he enjoyed it as well. We split an order of the garlic naan, which was tasty too, and I also had a mango lassi. I'd come back here when in the area, it was about $40 for two people with tip which is reasonable, especially considering that we ordered naan and I had a lassi, too. Small picky thing ... I went to use the restroom and when I came back, the waitstaff was bundling up our food, to-go. Cool, thank you. However, the waiter/server clearly saw me, and I had to stand there awkwardly for about 2-3 minutes since he would not move (and was standing in front of my chair). #FirstWorldProblems, for sure, but just something to note. Other than that, everything was good, and I'd return again.

Taj Mahal Beer. From Front: Paneer Makhani, Chicken Majestic, Tandoori Chicken, Hakka Noodles And Vegetable Korma.
    Mike G.

I was really excited to see that these folks offer Chicken Majestic on their lunch buffet ($10.95). This Hyderabadi dish is yoghurt marinated and lightly seasoned to perfection. These tender morsels of savory boneless chicken literally melt in your mouth. Of course you'll also have to sample their other Authentic Indian food offerings from their buffet like Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Paneer Makhani, Tandori Chicken, Vegetable Korma and Naan among all the things they have. Tip: Get there early as the line can be long and they don't always keep everything as full as they should. India Flavors offers a full bar so I took the opportunity to order a Taj Mahal beer ($9.00). Beer aficionados will enjoy this Indian import that comes in a generous sized bottle. It's smooth, crisp, clean and it's really good. The restaurant sits away from the street next to the ABC Warehouse so it will be a little hard to find. Inside India Flavors, it's somewhat classy looking with color changing bubble walls that offer a soothing ambiance. The service is fine here, just be aware that the service is typical Indian, meaning that they're not going to hover over you. Just give a wave when you want something and they'll come right over. This is a good find and I'll definitely give them more of my business when I'm in the area. You should too.

Surprisingly, although we were there on a Friday night, we were the only patrons throughout our meal. According to a member of the staff (possibly the chef?), the establishment had been running as a carry-out-only operation for some time, due to difficulties finding waitstaff. A great pity, as there were a good number of very pleasant seating options, and our server was quite friendly and accommodating. Next, the service: as the only diners in the place, we got full attention. Food came out soon enough. And as for said food: very nice. I ordered the lamb, which came with rice. The co-diner got a red lentil dumpling, in a cashew cream sauce. Both entrees were very well prepared, and (in my case) in a sufficiently large quantity that I took some home. We ordered naan, which was fluffy and very tasty. We were happy to have leftovers to take with us. All in all, we were glad to discover Basil Indian Bistro, and look forward to our next visit.

It's a bit slow. The chili fries are yummy, spicy. The chicken kafta is dry, still very fragrant and flavorful. It's better with the cilantro chutney and the yogurt sauce makes it more palatable as well. The gobi chili is okay, the chili sauce with the fries is what we expected the gobi chili to taste like, it's different here, still not too bad. The rice isn't my favorite, it's small grain, not the basmati rice I was expecting. It seems dry and almost disintegrates upon adding the tadka Dahl to it. The potato and pea masala is really good. A small portion comes with the dosa masala. The tadka Dahl is runny and the lentils are pulverized to bits, it has more of a soup consistency to it. The dosa is very crispy, maybe too crispy for me. The dosa is good with the mango chutney. The Chana masala was ok. Not quite the flavoring I was expecting or hoping for though. The service here is good, just slow to get the food out. The chili fries were the best out of everything we ordered tonight. They could use this seasoning on the gobi and it would make it so much better.

The taste of this dish was also ok, also on the sweeter side. We left hungry and ended up at another nearby restaurant to complete our dinner for the evening. I recommend asking what size portion you're receiving before finalizing your order to make sure you get enough food especially for the prices they charge.
