The service was good. We had to ask for things like silverware and chutneys though. Extra napkins without being asked is a plus. The bartender was personable. He came by twice even though we told him we were not interested in anything from the bar. The crispy corn baby corn was excessive in crispiness. It fell apart as we were taking bites. The Malai Kofta gravy/sauce was AMAZING. There were only maybe three balls, and they seemed like a package mix that was not mixed well. The Tikka gravy/sauce was AMAZING as well. With the paneer dishes, they could have put in a little more paneer than what they did, and especially for the price. Indian flavors was quite a surprise. I came with a big group of people so it was really nice that we were all able to try a lot of different things. There is a large selection and like any buffet there are pros and cons, the biggest pro being really nice develop flavors and being able to try variety of different ones. The con has to be some of the chicken and meat were a little dry and overcooked from being in their sauces for a little too long. This used to be our *Go to* Indian food place when it opened a few yeas ago and it is still very good. We used to live very close to this place( on 13 mile) then. There was not too many places in Michigan and still aren't that have such a good combination of ambience and good food taste! Their service is also good! They have a private (can be enclosed) space for small parties too. They have a daily buffet - very few Indian restaurants have started Buffets after the Pandemic. It was my first time at an Indian restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised how delicious it was, as well as how the restaurant smell and looked. The decor is different and interesting, a lot of thought was spent on the decor, as well as the bathroom amenities. This has become my go-to for Indian food as of lately as it is conveniently located in Farmington hills between 12&13 mile on Orchard Lake road and the food has always been tasty as I want non-veg Indian food! I have visited for Indian buffet on the weekend and everything was good- I do wish they had chai being filled more plentifully but the spread was a decent variety of things I enjoy. I have carried out butter chicken, paneer tikka masala, Hakka noodles and chicken tikka dosa and all have been wonderful. After being closed for some time, they've reopened with a slightly different name (India Flavors became iFlavors on the signs). Food is excellent, employees actually speak to you. This is in contrast to most of the Indian restaurants in the area where you are ignored, either because the employees cannot speak english well enough of they don't visit the table once you are seated. Everyone was very nice. Buffet is now lower priced than it was previously during the week, and everything was fresh and hot during the weekdays. I'm glad they returned to business. read more

One of the best Indian food I have ever had in the USA. Their curries, appetizers, breads, and soups, all were really good. We went during the dinner time on a Friday evening. We ordered, paneer makhni, dal tadka, hot and sour soup, Gobi machurian, paratha, roti and naan. They also have a good selection of drinks. The service was very quick and the staff is also very courteous. We were a big group of 10+ people and the staff was very accommodative in finding us a big table. I called an order in for carry out. The food would take about 30 minutes to come out. We ordered a butter chicken, Chmasala, Gobi Manchurian and garlic naan bread. Total was around $37. The food containers were really well wrapped, no spills at all. The gobi Manchurian tasted good, a bit sweeter than I am used to, it wasn't spicy at all. India flavors, what have you done?! The food tastes excellent. It has been since we started going here, primarily for carry out, a few years ago. In the past when you called and were told 25 minutes it meant 30 and that's a-ok. Sometimes it was even 35 on a busier night and that was fine too. Then something changed. About six months ago the portions shrunk. Fewer lentils and beans in the Dahl makhani, half the eggplant in the bagara baingan. Very disappointing but we were still pretty loyal so we carried on. Then the carry out disasters struck. The last three times 25-30 minutes turned into 50-70 minutes while being told "five more minutes, just waiting on one item" over and over again. Same story each time. Our last visit unfolded the same way for us and everyone else waiting for their orders. Multiple customers, including myself, went from patient to angry after the lies and the extra 30+ minute wait. I asked for a refund but was stalled when they went to check "one more time" and stayed in back for another 5-10 minutes until they came out with our food. While driving away we noticed they forgot an item so I went back in and two of the other customers that were previously stuck in carry out purgatory with me were also back. One told me wanted a refund on their gulab jamun as there were only three in the container. The other, who had been waiting longer than me for fewer items was trying to get his refund but they told him they couldn't find his order in the system...the order that they had been telling him was almost ready for almost 40 minutes now...the order that he had a confirmation for... What happened to you India Flavors? We used to love you and we want to still but you are falling apart and leaving your regulars infuriated. We need some space. This place was a whole package experience for us and we will absolutely be back. This was our first time being back to an Indian buffet since pre-Covid times and it's been sorely missed! I can't even say enough amazing things about the team that worked here. I was definitely ready to bail with our almost 2 year old in the event she was too much in the location, but every employee we interacted with talked to her and made sure to ask how we liked the food. The array wasn't too extensive as compared to some other places we had been to before everything shut down, but every dish we tried was amazing. A loooooong time ago this used to be a place called Panda Buffet, and wow, has the interior changed - it's super classy and modern, and very nice. We had a group of about 10-12 people, so were seated in the back. I had the Butter Chicken, as opposed to my normal Chicken Tikka Masala, and it was very good. My boyfriend had some sort of lamb dish, which was super spicy, and he enjoyed it as well. We split an order of the garlic naan, which was tasty too, and I also had a mango lassi. I'd come back here when in the area, it was about $40 for two people with tip which is reasonable, especially considering that we ordered naan and I had a lassi, too. Small picky thing ... I went to use the restroom and when I came back, the waitstaff was bundling up our food, to-go. Cool, thank you. However, the waiter/server clearly saw me, and I had to stand there awkwardly for about 2-3 minutes since he would not move (and was standing in front of my chair). #FirstWorldProblems, for sure, but just something to note. I was really excited to see that these folks offer Chicken Majestic on their lunch buffet ($10.95). This Hyderabadi dish is yoghurt marinated and lightly seasoned to perfection. These tender morsels of savory boneless chicken literally melt in your mouth. Of course you'll also have to sample their other Authentic Indian food offerings from their buffet like Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Paneer Makhani, Tandori Chicken, Vegetable Korma and Naan among all the things they have. Tip: Get there early as the line can be long and they don't always keep everything as full as they should. India Flavors offers a full bar so I took the opportunity to order a Taj Mahal beer ($9.00). Beer aficionados will enjoy this Indian import that comes in a generous sized bottle. It's smooth, crisp, clean and it's really good. The restaurant sits away from the street next to the ABC Warehouse so it will be a little hard to find. Inside India Flavors, it's somewhat classy looking with color changing bubble walls that offer a soothing ambiance. The service is fine here, just be aware that the service is typical Indian, meaning that they're not going to hover over you. Just give a wave when you want something and they'll come right over. so they reached out to correct the samosa issue - and I decided to give them another try - so I ordered in addition to picking up their "complementary samosa order" they offered when they stated that their website "glitched" the previous time I ordered but had been corrected - the staff literally had no one there they can say they were busy with (the place was EMPTY) and to be honest they proceeded to make me feel super awkward when I wanted to just pay and go - so when I got handed my bag I quickly left and drove home - long after I got home I get a call from the staff saying "sorry we switched your order with someone else" ..as I am getting ready to head there ..she proceeds to call me again and "offer me" she says as if she's giving me a deal of a lifetime "to keep the other person's order" as they had taken mine! like what? u should've noticed the second time at the least - this was two times in a row she didn't bother to confirm the order and admittedly let two people leave with the wrong order..I proceeded to tell her no I'm not interested in keeping someone else's DIFFERENT order.. This is probably the best Indian buffet in Michigan! It is the perfect combination of sophisticated ambience and authentic food. When I say authentic, I mean authentic. Do not expect the common options like samosas and gulab jamun (dessert). Explore the more unique and realistic food that Indians actually eat. Their food was tasty, flavored well and had enough variety to impress both vegetarians and meat eaters. I even liked their masala chai after lunch and I'm not usually a tea person. Ambience is probably the BEST we have ever seen in an Indian restaurant in the US. It looks very upscale and even the bathrooms looked impressive (think Vegas). The service staff was polite and refilled our water as needed and served us hot dosas (Indian savory crepes) on the table. Seating area is quite large and can seat big groups easily. Also, the place is open late hours (until midnight) Wednesdays to Saturdays so it's great if you want to catch a late-night-bite. I expected the buffet price to be at least $15 or more and was quite surprised when I found that it was only $13. And talking as a person who has eaten at more than 50 Indian restaurants around the country, I have to say that, it is a very reasonable price for the food and the ambience (have eaten at too many crappy Indian restaurants and paid $15 average every time). What an amazing restaurant. From the outside you're not quite sure what you're getting yourself into, but once you step through the doors you enter a gorgeous, spacious place with great decor. Staff was incredibly friendly and taught us about the menu items and ingredients. We tried many dishes, including the garlic naan, chicken 65, chicken byrani and navratan korma. Everything was packed with flavor and so fresh. The rice was also delicious including the yogurt sauce! You can really tell that they put love into each meal they make. This is my go to Indian restaurant. They currently do not have their daily lunch buffet due to the pandemic but their regular menu is available. All of their dishes are fresh, full of flavor and absolutely delicious. Their special chicken biryani is one of my favorite dishes. It consists of spiced rice, with vegetables, boneless chicken, boiled egg and onions. Another great dish is their malai kofta, which is a vegetarian meatball dish. The meatballs are made of chickpeas and other vegetables/spices cooked in a sauce and served with rice. No matter what you order, you can't go wrong. Food was just average but service was complete mess and slow, I asked 3 times for our drinks and they didnt seem to be getting it. We need not wait for a booth table. There was a mixed of people who seemed to enjoy the chic ambiance and the food. The exterior of the building looks simple but was surprised to see what's inside. Loved the interior of the dining area, the lighted walls, hands free restroom and the bar area. Although, their faux leather seats need to be reupholstered since the the cushion/foam doesn't support the lower body. I would have given 5 stars but felt not welcomed when the lady host assigned us to a very small table in a corner. I did see a lot of empty tables, so we just moved ourselves. My husband and i would order a lot so we need a bigger table to breath :-) The lady host left without telling us to wait for our server. Ordered chicken masala and shrimp fried rice. On the side, we had samoza and naan bread. Food presentation was clean and served in a simple platter. But the food we had from this Indian restaurant was amazing.
