They handled each customer with care. They didn't rush me. I know i took too long to decide. After finishing my order I kept adding to it. I had to hurry and leave tge building before I added even more to the order. I ended up with 4 delicious cupcakes and a gooey butter cake. Everything was so good. The gold rush was the last cake that I purchased. I had completed my order. But got back in line to get it. 2 ladies told me that I can go ahead of them. I told them I already ordered and I'm ordering again. I initially got 3 vanilla butter cream cupcakes. Then I saw the gooey butter cake. I asked the young lady to add that too.. My coworkers placed their orders. Their desserts are kind of pricey. At least they are on my opinion. But they are very good. Of course there's parking out front.

Yesterday, Sophia my little fur-baby had a vet appointment that was just a block away. Being a good dog dad, I made sure she arrived early. In fact, we were so early I had time to kill so I made a stop at, The Cup. To my delightful surprise, they had a special on two of my favorite flavors and they were combined into one cupcake. I love lemon & raspberry. The cupcake was called, Spring Fling. It was a lemon cake, with Raspberry cream cheese frosting and a raspberry filling. The cake was moist and soft. Most importantly, the frosting was not overly sweet and did not overly dominant the cake. It was just the perfect amount of topping. The lady working the counter was attentive and made friendly conversation. I was glad to see that they are part of the, Gift-A-Meal program and that they offered Student Discounts to those who attend SIUE. That's community supporting community.

Chef Kitt and her team make the most beautiful and delicious pastries, cakes, cookies, croissants and baked goods that you have ever seen and you MUST go for their reservation only themed brunches and teas. I have been several times and they are always such an experience! Chef Kitt's love for fashion is represented in her themes of Chanel, Tiffany & Co, Louis Vuitton and more throughout the year! I think they are the teas that offer the MOST value throughout St. Louis! They are not cheap, it is definitely an experience, but they have delicious full size themed pastries, and it is always too much to consume on site so you always take home a gorgeous box of your leftovers! I have spent upwards of $70 pp for a afternoon tea service throughout St. Louis and Chicago (I have seen up to $80+ in Chicago!) and was sorely disappointed but I am NEVER disappointed when I go to La Patisserie! AND guess what? She has a Tea Party "Kitt" for 2 you can pre-order! So if you have a senior who is shut in or just want to have a girls night in and keep a clean kitchen, you can pre-order a kit and have their phenomenal afternoon tea service at home! Their brunches are to die for as well! perfect for the vegetarian in your life, Chef Kitt has a lot of beautifully plated non-meat options on your brunch menu. And this bakery has a liquor license! So dine in and enjoy a handcrafted specialty cocktail with your bakery bites! This place is a must on your hit list if you are in St. Louis. Located in North county, it is worth the visit. She has the nicest front of the house staff that dress on theme, and the Parisian decor and delicious desserts and drinks will take your breath away!

I love the themed brunches, the staff are all so sincere and fun to be around, and the interior is absolutely gorgeous with pink, flowers, clouds, and more. The vanilla cupcake had grainy frosting where the sugar had not been properly creamed into the butter or fat and it was too sweet. It actually made me cough from how the sugar hit the back of my throat. The cake was very light, but nothing tasted like vanilla. It tasted like sugar and air. There was also entirely too much frosting for the density and size of the cupcake, and I say that as a person who usually loves frosting. The vanilla cupcake was both soft /falling apart and slightly overcooked at the same time. The red velvet was more balanced in flavor. However, it had the same sugary buttercream as the vanilla instead of the traditional cream cheese that one would expect with a red velvet cake and that frosting made it just too sugary to eat. The texture of the red velvet cupcake was better than the vanilla, though a bit too dry. I'm not sure what the people who gave this high reviews eight or what their exposure to food is, but this definitely did not do it for us.

Jody, the owner is not good at customer service. Was scooping ice cream right at the front & did not even acknowledge us when we walked in to pick up the cupcakes. Had an ugly snarl on his face. I will NEVER go back to this establishment!!! I will have Walmart cupcakes at my next birthday before I come back here!!!
