The hardest part about ordering cupcakes for our wedding was deciding on the flavors. They were all so delicious and moist. All the guests raved about them. We opted for them to set up the cupcakes and it looked beautiful. The tiramisu was the best, triple chocolate and carrot cake were rich and delicious, and the lemon was lovely on a hot summer day. Love! I ordered this cake for my daughter's graduation and it didn't disappoint! It was a chocolate with cream cheese. Wow the chocolate was absolutely perfect. After a great lunch the family was looking for something sweet and found Sarah's Cake Shop (SCS). Located in Chesterfield, MO SCS hit the spot. We we're interested in cake pops and found quite the variety. My daughter ordered a few, while the wife had a slice of raspberry cheesecake and I went a delicious chocolate brownie with frosting. Boy did we hit the jackpot! SCS didn't have seating but does do custom cake decorations from the wedding cake samples in the shop. I really enjoy a visit to Sarah's when I am in the Chesterfield area. I used to visit here quite often when I worked with a school close to this area, and now that I am in the area again a couple days a week I enjoy visiting. If you are a chocolate lover you MUST get their ultimate brownie. It's a little pricey but rightfully so and it could easily feed too because of its richness and decadence! Think a dense fudgy brownie, topped with chocolate ganache, drizzled with white chocolate and topped with a huge rosette dollop of chocolate buttercream that is sprinkled with chocolate curls. I also LOVE their glitter bites. Cake bites that are frosted and rolled in colorful sanding sugar. It is the perfect little bite when you just want something sweet. They also have a gooey butter cake bar that is topped with a dollop of buttercream and kissed with sprinkles, another super indulgence which is something we all need every once in awhile. The cupcakes here were pretty good and reasonably priced. The specialty cupcakes cost around $2.50- $2.75 while basic ones are cheaper. This is about $1 less than the gourmet cupcakes I've had in bigger cities (keeping in mind these are not as large and glamorous). I tried cookies & cream, triple chocolate and red velvet and enjoyed them all. The cream cheese frosting on the red velvet was my favorite. The frosting on the triple chocolate was a bit deceiving since it was just cream icing coated in chocolate (as opposed to chocolate icing). The inside is very quaint and nicely decorated. I first heard about Sarah's from our realtor when we were visiting for house hunting. She told us we had to check it out so I'm not sure why it took me over 7 months to stop in. I dropped by to pick up a few birthday treats from their daily available selections. I was not disappointed by the variety of choices. Cupcakes, cookies, cake slices, cake pops, glitter bites, and more. It was really hard to choose. They also had a variety of larger cakes available. I settled for an Oreo cake pop, a white cake pop, four glitter bites, and a salted toffee cookie for myself. The cookie was so big! Bigger than my hand. The girls enjoyed the glitter bites-basically a small bite of cake covered in icing and glitter sprinkles. And you cannot go wrong with a cake pop. Those are my favorites! Went to Sarah's today to get an assortment of cupcakes for my son's birthday. He is on the autism spectrum and had requested Sarah's red velvet cupcakes. I checked their website and it listed 8 cupcakes available daily including red velvet available on Friday and Saturday. When I arrived they said that they only had limited cupcakes today (3 flavors) and red velvet wasn't one of them. When I said that their website indicated that multiple flavors were available daily the person just shrugged and said we're closing early due to a wedding. Went up the street to Smallcakes which did have a wide variety of flavors including red velvet and a friendly person at the counter. Guess I'll just go there in the future. read more

I haven't eaten the vanilla cupcake yet but the chocolate cherry cupcake's white icing was fabulous! The chocolate cake, though, was a little dry--so disappointing.
