They're reopen and it's just as amazing as ever!! The same recipes you know and love, with additional delicious sweet and savory treats.

Great sugaree baked goods Very cherry pie! Great pecan pie! An engaging baker who lives in the neighborhood! She shared the history of the shop and of Dogtown. Great people, great products, small business at its best. Head over today!

Oh. My. God! How did I live here this long and NOT know about this place!?? My boss orders quiches from here and says they are great but baby, let me tell you- this place has a coconut cake that is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Apparently they wholesale the cake to Olive + Oak and this cake is by the slice on their menu. It is heavenly. Now I am a baker and a true cake snob but there is a reason why I thankfully got the last slice when I went in there on Saturday afternoon! It was moist, flavorful and I am already planning to order a whole cake for the holidays because this HAS to be on my Christmas dessert table! I am not much of a pie person but hey are known for their pies, so give them a try if you love pie! I also had the ginger cookie and the toffee shortbread and both were equally delish! Also heir blueberry muffin is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Do you hear me? I will admit I let this sit on my counter for 2 days and took it for breakfast to work. It was so moist, flavorful and so full of berries I could not stop eating it and was mad when it was gone! If you have not been to SUGAREE, make it a destination NOW! This locally owned gem is beyond worthy of our support during these times and I don't want it to close in fact I want them to flourish because of all the increased business they get! Holly who worked three was so nice and kind and informed me of everything when I told her it was my first time visiting. Also a nice lady was outside watering plants and come to find out she was the pastry chef owner! She was kind and nice too! Please take the time to visit! You won't regret it! And get that cake! And the muffins!. And the quiche! And the pies! And the cookies!

Was very excited to try Sugaree. The shop is hard to catch as they are only open Friday and Saturday. The shop is well laid out, with everything for sale laid out right as you enter. I had gotten Samoas, a "Momo" pie and a lemon blueberry pie. The Samoas were delicious- the flavor was great, and they were made to perfection. The momo pie, which I had originally thought would be similar to the Momofuku Crack Pie, was good but different than the namesake. The momo pie at Sugaree was more brown sugar heavy, but still great. The big problem was the lemon blueberry pie. I had noticed some earlier reviews had problems with their cake/pie having an aftertaste- this pie had a very strong metallic taste to it. We had tried using different utensils, but to no avail. While Sugaree is a nice spot, the pie we got was disappointing. I'm not sure why it would taste that way, but hope others do not have that experience.

I stopped by on a whim. The smells that hit you are wonderful! I knew I was in the right place for fresh, baked goods. Their display cases were full of a variety of pies and cakes and treats. My problem was trying to figure out what to get. Once I did that then I noticed a cooler! Wow! Cheescake and other products! I ended up taking a sampling home. The cheesecake, raspberry cheesecake, Apply Crumb pie, Blackberry Cobbler, and one other thing I don't recall. All were wonderful. The cheesecakes were heavy, NY style. Very filling and rich. The Crumb pie was great when slightly warmed up with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The Cobbler was also good when warmed up. I will have to go back and get the name of the small pie-like pastry! It was the one enjoyed by the family the most!

My first experience with Sugaree was at a friends wedding. They made her wedding cake, and it was THE best cake I'd ever had (I'm not usually a big cake fan). It was pound cake with strawberry mousse layers. I recently had a birthday party (on Halloween) and wanted that same cake. My boyfriend didn't make any specific requests on how to decorate it, so I was curious to see what they came up with for a birthday/Halloween cake. They NAILED it. Perfect blend of birthday/ Halloween. Definitely recommend!

The moment you step into Diana's, you're wrapped in the warm, sweet aroma of a traditional panadería -- fresh breads, sugar-topped pastries, and that unmistakable feeling that everything here is made con amor. The conchas are especially spectacular -- soft, lightly sweet, with that perfect sugary shell. Pair one with a cup of coffee and suddenly the whole morning feels like a little fiesta. I am not much of a sweet eater, hence the Roast Beef sandwich love but every once in a while, there is a sweet treat that I really love and this was one of those times! I enjoyed a Smoked Ham and Gruyere Croissant and a black coffee in house. I was to have a seat at the counter in their front window and relax while my dogs were at the doggie spa up the street. The croissant was super-super flakey and the smoked ham paired beautifully with the gruyere cheese. I couldn't come to NRB and not take home a couple of sweet treats. My favorite treat was the Raspberry Lemon Financier. It was so good the next morning with my home brewed coffee. Then that evening I enjoyed a Lemon Cake whose name I cannot recall. It exceeded moistness and the strong lemon flavor was just what I like. In addition to my treats, I got a Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookie for my fur-babies pet stylist as part of her tip. My only dislike and it's minor, is that they serve Kaldi's Coffee. I'm glad they are supporting another local small business, but I am not a fan of their product. Typically when I know a cafe serves Kaldi's, I pass on the coffee, but I made an exception here.

Honestly, if you judged it by the outside, you might drive right past it. There is one parking spot in front, and then a run down parking lot behind and to the side. The moment I walked in, I felt like I was back in my childhood. The lime green decor, the dark bakery display cases filled with buns, and the small plates of food inside reminded me of the Cantonese bakeries I grew up going to. They also had ready to go meals wrapped up to take home. We bought a bunch of things to try. We had the beef cheung fun, siu mai, BBQ pork baos, sesame balls, egg custard tarts, and one of my favorites, the giant round sponge cake. Everything was fresh and really tasty. The roast pork looked delicious too, with nice crispy skin. The biggest surprise for me was seeing lo po beng (Old Wife Cake). We can hardly ever find it on the East Coast, so whenever we do, we always buy some for my mom. Seeing it here made me so happy. I live in the Metro D.C. area, where we have some really good Cantonese bakeries, so I wasn't expecting much from this tiny place. But honestly, Wei Hong Bakery could definitely give many of the bakeries back home a run for their money. Don't let the outside fool you. If you're looking for authentic Cantonese bakery items in St. Louis, this little bakery is absolutely worth a visit. It brought back so many childhood memories, and I'd definitely stop again the next time I'm in town.
