Holy cow! I found this place on Happy Cow and was blown away by their vegan cinnamon sugar donut. They had another option but I would have had to wait. Wish they had more vegan options besides 2 donuts, but the one I had was so good I am definitely going back. Will try coffee next time too. I think they rotate flavors based on their social media posts. Staff was super friendly and dining area was so cute!

Outside city limits in Florissant, but this craft bakery is worth the mention. This is woman-owned and operated by Lia, who even wrote her own cookbook. The coffee is delicious, but the from-scratch pastries and treats are unreal! Two words: Focaccia Fridays! Fridays only, they bake single-serve focaccia. It's a perfect cloud of herby, salty dough. Rumor has it you can freeze them. I judge a bakery by their classic chocolate chip cookie and theirs hits the spot.

Fabulous! It is so cute inside and they have a patio. The GLUTEN FREE scone was FANTASTIC! We had excellent and fast service. Definitely check this place out for a great experience!

I am so happy to have found Made by Lia. I special ordered a vintage cake made with Swiss buttercream and raspberry almond. The cake was amazing. It was absolutely beautiful. The taste was to die for. I have found my baker for beautiful and amazing flavored cakes. I also order the macaroons to match the cake. I have tried macaroons all over including Ladurée. Lia's macaroons beat these out hands down. Flavors and cookie were so good. While I was waiting my cake I ordered an oatmeal raisin cookie. It to was so good. Her flavors are spot on.

Very cute woman owned and operated bakery in Old Florissant. It's welcoming, bright and the staff is friendly. I enjoyed my Java hazelnut coffee and the St. Louis classic, gooey butter cake. I don't get this way very often, so it was a nice impromptu visit on a lovely Saturday morning. I've previously ordered a cake from here a few years back that was very good and beautifully decorated to match my birthday outfit that I'm including in this review as well. Images attached!

If you haven't popped into Made by Lia you're missing out! It's the cutest little coffee and sweets spot in Florissant that bangs out amazing desserts. As a 2024 bride, I had a hard time finding a place to accommodate my very small, simple, vintage cake request within a reasonable budget. Lia and her team were all for it! They were an absolute pleasure to work with through three rounds of cake testing and our special request of combing the lemon cake with raspberry filling, which is not a typical offering. Every time I dropped in to pick up cake samples which were always ready within a day or two, I snagged a delish coffee and other treat. Go check them out for rotating special kitchen creations and look no further for your next celebration dessert. Thanks Lia and team for helping make our wedding day extra sweet!

Wonderful drink options in super cute downtown Florissant. The only thing I didn't love is that the parking was limited. It didn't take long at all for my drink to be made and it was super delicious! I also grabbed a few macaroons for my daughter and she enjoyed every bite! I will definitely be back the next time I'm visiting the STL area.

Found a hidden Gem in Florissant. Let start off by saying, this is a cute, quaint bakery located in historic Florissant. I love the modern, clean look. The inside was very clean and the smells from all the baked goodies were delightful. There are some tables for inside seating and seating outside for the warmer weather. The staff were very friendly, and welcoming. They deserve tips. They were brining out fresh baked good as i was ordering. I tried the cherry Strudel. It was so delicious. It was buttery, flaky and just the right amount of sweet/tartness. I also tried the cinnamon Brown sugar latte. You have the choice of getting it made with whole milk, almond milk or oat milk. It was delicious, tastes exactly like brown sugar with cinnamon. Did i mention they sell gluten free and vegan options!!!!!

Made by Lia was such an impressive bakery spot. Although there aren't a large number of options, everything we had was amazing. The bakery is so cute, the service was extremely helpful, and the outside patio is adorable too. Such a great spot!

I've known about this place for a while...can't believe I'm just now making it to their establishment. I tried several baked items and all were delicious. The scones were the perfect combo of crispy edges and moist inside. Sometimes these can be too tough all around so I was hesitant to try but it came recommended from my mom who frequents this place. The birthday cake latte wasn't too sweet as one might assume - but it did have too many sprinkles so I'll ask to have them left off next time. My kids enjoyed a donut and cherry danish. They raved about it after. And we brought a slice of key lime pie home for a late night snack! I can't wait to return.

Always a great place to come and relax between clients . Even when not eating the sweet smell of goodies makes me happy.

Six-Plus Stars for Helfer's Bakery -- Five Just Aren't Enough!…read moreHelfer's Bakery was phenomenal from beginning to end! They were incredibly easy to work with, and our baker, Jamie, was wonderful. She listened to what we envisioned for our daughter's wedding and helped create a wedding cake that exceeded every expectation. That was so important to us since the bride and groom were not in town. And the cake itself? Absolutely delicious! Our guests at the wedding are still raving about it. It was moist, flavorful, and some of the best wedding cake anyone has ever tasted. Each layer was a different flavor--from traditional to chocolate, and every single one was a hit. The design was an absolute masterpiece - elegant, beautiful, and truly a work of art. Helfer's also made the wedding day so easy for us. They delivered the cake to Innsbrook, Missouri, set everything up beautifully, and coordinated with the florist to ensure the florals were perfectly placed. That attention to detail meant so much to us. I cannot recommend Helfer's Bakery highly enough for a wedding cake or any special occasion. Beautiful, delicious, professional, and exceptional service from start to finish. Six-plus stars because five simply aren't enough!

I had the number 5, the "budget breakfast" sandwich (one egg, one bacon, cheese) on a biscuit. I loved the crunchy bacon. My friends got a different variety of their breakfast sandwiches, two eggs, cheese, bacon, one on a bagel and one on bread, and they both happily finished them off. Of course, I had to try the donut grilled cheese. Yes, American cheese, in between a doughnut that was split in half and griddled. It was a strange sensation, the salty cheese with the really sweet doughnut, crispy and caramelized on the outside and still soft on the inside. It's something everyone should have once in their life, lol. Oh, we also got one of their old-fashioned donuts, which is my barometer for how good a donut place is. It was a good donut. He leans in and says, "I can put one together for you... just trust me." And listen... that was the moment I decided to surrender control and embark on a culinary adventure. As he started listing what he had in mind, my skepticism quickly turned into straight-up anticipation. It already sounded incredible--but I HAD to chime in and add tomatoes and banana peppers (because balance, obviously). What I received for $13 was not just a wrap. It was a masterpiece. This thing was PACKED--like, no-such-thing-as-skimping levels of juicy, flavorful chicken. Every bite hit. Every ingredient showed up. No fillers, no regrets.
