Recently took up running after I figured out my form sucked and I've been doing it wrong, literally forever, and actually enjoyed running instead of landing on my heel (boneheaded mistake made for 35+ years lol) and decided to get my foot analysis to get the correct fit. Came here upon store opening on a Saturday and there was already a queue (it can get busy so be patient). Didn't wait long; So was browsing the store before I got called 5 minutes later. Matthew assisted me in getting my foot sized, come to find out I've been wearing the wrong size all my of my adulthood lol! And I knew my foot was wide and the test determined that was not a lie. Big foot alert. I got a wide foot so I need a wider toe box. He brought out 3 different options, Brooks, OnCloud, & Hokas. I ended up going with the Hokas over the Brooks (only because I like wild colors and only options available we're kind of boring, sucks to have wide feet I can't be included in on the fun color run lol) Hokas had a better colorway option available. Personally OnClouds felt very cheap to me and not natural if that makes sense? But I'm so glad Matthew was able to assist me and show me all the options to narrow things down in my head. A friend recommended I go to Fleet Feet for a quality pair of walking shoes. I was immediately greeted when I entered the store. I was asked what I was looking for and then my feet were scanned. Once the scan was complete, the salesman reviewed the specifics of my feet while also listening to what I wanted. He brought out three pairs of shoes, which made the process easy and quick. Unfortunately, they only had one color in stock for the shoe I wanted, but I was able to order a pair online. I was in and out in under 15 minutes. My mother visited this establishment and was treated very poorly. She had asked the floor manager, Barbara, for a shoe in a specific size and the woman told her they did not have it and told her they could not help her. Barbara then assisted the next customer and brought out at least 12 different shoes for her to try on. My mother asked her why she brought out shoes for the customer and not her, and Barbara responded that she had brought out "women's sizes" for the other client. If it was not clear, my mother is a woman and that response makes no sense. I am not sure if Barbara is simply a bad saleswoman who takes it upon herself to decide which customers will be spending money or if she has preferences over who she decides to help. Regardless, extremely unprofessional. I don't care if my mother has an accent and was in her work clothes, your job is to sell shoes, so sell some shoes. Barbara needs to work on her professionalism and put her prejudice aside. read more

Great store! Sounds like an old person thing to be shopping for shoes but this place was great! The customer care was excellent- my husband and I were tended to by a guy named Alex and he was so pleasant and knowledgeable. He was also very patient with us and gave us multiple options to suit our needs. The 3-D feet scan is also amazing and the shoes are recommended based on that result. The shoes are the same prices as online and whatever is not available can be bought online and shipped directly to you at no additional cost. I recently joined the Slow AF Run Club, and I was looking for legitimate running shoe store. Barbara greeted me as I was perusing some accessories and I asked for a gait analysis. I expected something like somebody watching me run and fro. Instead there was a technical piece of equipment that I stood on and then I had to walk across a mat several times. Very high-tech! She picked out three pairs of shoes for me to try on that would be best for my feet and the comfort I was looking for. She helped me get fitted the old-school way. I sat while she put them on my feet and laced them up. I haven't seen that in decades! Like a charm I found a fantastic pair of shoes that I'm so excited to go running in. I've never been fitted for shoes, I've always just ordered online based on how cute they are and other people's reviews. I decided I wanted good walking / cross training shoes and at some recommendations came to Fleet Feet. Hannah helped me find shoes and the process was really cool! They have a machine that measures the true size of your foot and then you walk on a pad next to it that determines if your feet roll out, etc. After trying on a few pairs I went with the Brooks Ghost and couldn't be happier. I have a slight case of plantar fasciitis in my left foot and she walked me through a couple of tests (with analytical data to prove it). My go-to running store for years. I just had the best visit. I needed to reassess my shoe selection for an upcoming race and training needs. I met with Joey immediately as I walked in, who did a scan and patiently and thoroughly went over at least 6 pairs of shoes that I tried on, inserts, and answered so many of my questions (from form, to stability, cushion, etc.) without hesitation. The visit took me an hour as he took the time to help me decide on what would work best for me and he was so helpful the entire time. I am super impressed with Hannah S. At the Delray Beach location. I called on Sunday and she put both colors of the Hoka Bondi 7's in stock on hold for me. When I went to purchase them the next day she grabbed them from the back and patiently let me decide on which color. When I went to pay for them I explained that I should have a $15 reward based on a recent purchase. She looked at her system and my App and she agreed and honored the reward. What I found truly top notch service is that I received an email from her the next day explaining that she had researched my account and found that the wrong email was attached to my account. She reconciled the problem. I never asked her to do that for me. She is truly a gem of an associate. I went to the store when they first opened at 10 AM. Walked in and there was one employee on the phone, no acknowledgment that somebody had come into the store. Two people in the back sitting, saw that I was in the store. They also made no acknowledgement that somebody was in the store and needing help. The lady on the phone hangs up and goes in the back, comes back out and takes another call and still no acknowledgment. Guess they don't need the business. read more

New to running I stopped into Fleet Feet Delray on a recommendation of a friend who frequents Fleet Feet West Hartford, CT. I was greeted immediately, shoe size taken and they used their stride evaluator machine on me....kinda cool. I was presented with a few options and even figured out that I need a wide running shoe. Hannah was terrific and knowledgeable, I highly recommend this shop. I found out later they have running clinics, various classes and a weekly Pub Run which I've participated a few times. Great shoe fit experience. My husband needed an assessment of his feet for new running shoes as his New Balance were no longer working for him. Our salesperson named Kyle was awesome. (Thay all seemed pretty awesome) He had my husband stand on the machine that is made to measure and assess the foot with an IPad readout. After that, a variety of sneakers were brought out to try on for fit and comfort. Like a kid in a candy store, they were colorful and not very traditional looking but comfortable they were! Prices were reasonable and now he became a Brooks sneaker owner. Great experience and the next pair of sneakers will have a discount as they have a frequent purchase $$ reward program. read more

What a great experience! I will never go back to buying shoes at regular retail locations. Starting with the assistance provided by Caroline, the whole experience was wonderful! I had been having a challenge finding a running/walking shoe that fit my foot. So, they start by having you step on a scale-looking machine that measures every aspect of your feet...heel, sole, arch, etc. It immediately provides the results and based on that they choose what shoes may fit well. Caroline brought out a few pair and from there the process began. We ended up trying a couple pair and by the end I got to choose from two that fit well. Actually, I walked out with both! Either I'll keep one or both, but have 60 days to figure it out. Notes: There's also running apparel. Overall, for every $150 spent you receive $15 off the next purchase. My daughter and I came to store, greeted right away by Alex. Alex did great job with access her shoe needs. Alex picked out 4 options including one from sales table and took time to have her try them on, explain why he choose the ones he choose, explain to her how they will feel different and knew by her walk before she sat back down which ones she did not like. I visited the Delray Beach, FL store today. Got a very personalized fitting, service from Nick, the owner. I am a heel lander so he suggested a Synchron Ortix from Karhu, plus an insert. They do take care to ensure you're in the right fitting shoe. The place is a bit pricey and they didn't seem very flexible on sales or any sort of deal (which I think they need to do to compete with Dick's Amazon, etc. Found my shoes for less online). That said, good service and I'm anxious to see if this relieves the issues I had when running. read more

As a marathoner going into my 14th year of race walking, I have been a shopper of just about every running shoe store between Lake Worth and Pinecrest. At first, I assumed this was part of a big chain and I really wanted to shop local. This is about as great as shopping local can get. The service is fantastic, as is their activity within the community. Meanwhile, Mizuno wave riders were introduced to me for the first time at the store and they were by far the best shoe I have ever used as a long-time user of Brooks. Used to love Fleet Feet. They are very busy now, which is wonderful to see. The problem is we live about 20 minutes away and there is no way to make an appointment. Every time we go in, there is a long wait...up to 45 minutes. This time we went in, we asked if there was a way to make an appointment? I walked in to the store today with the intention of purchasing a pair of running shoes. The store was not busy at all, maybe just a few other customers there. I was COMPLETELY IGNORED BY ENTIRE STAFF. I was not greeted when I walked in, I was never told "hey we will be with you in one moment" or offered any kind of assistance. As an avid runner, I had a couple questions and was excited to go to Fleet Feet to talk with like minded people but that was quickly ruined. Fortunately the shoe I wanted was available in my size on display so I tried it on and will be purchasing it elsewhere. I was so angry when I left and in complete disbelief. The Fleet Feet in my hometown is nothing like this one I truly can't believe what just happened today. It was like I was invisible. All I wanted to do was give you my money for a pair of $200 running shoes but I guess that's not good enough!
