I only got 1 of the items I needed (cap). For the other item (swimming shoes), they did not have my size available, but the price was reasonable. I saw they had a selection of outdoor camping chairs upstairs. Many were available. Most places charge a high cost for these outdoor chairs. Here the price ranged from $9.99 to $90. I like that you can buy it online and have it shipped to their location. One my way out, my friend came across a section with apparel that had "GOAT" on it with phrases like "Be the Greatest" or "Greatness with a side of Butter". I thought they were cute, albeit pricey. Great service as I entered the business - I liked that.

When the elevator finally got to my floor, a staff member rudely scoffed at me and quickly pushed the close button furiously before I can get on the elevator. Wow rude on a whole other level. This place is nice to browse and shop but maybe wait until they finish their renovations. Or bring a N95 before you get lung cancer. Also avoid the elevators if you can because you might run into the elevator troll and get denied access for no reason.

I became a regular at the store and sadly moved away in the beginning of 2025. But I still purchase items for work through them because the prices cannot be beat. FMJ is like no other military surplus store I've ever been to. The selection is better than anything I've seen. Over the years I've collected many different items. Some for work, others for my home office collection. But every time I enter the store, for better or worse I always leave with something. They stay busy on social media as well and are very interactive. Check them out on Instagram if you have one, sometimes you can see some of the surplus on there before it hits their shelves. Easiest 5/5 stars I've ever given. Next time I'm in the DMV I will be stopping by. It's tradition at this point.
