The Manager proceed to question if the shoes are the same ones online and also tell me that he did not believe I took the screenshot recently. At no time did he ask me to wait while he verified thier OWN website discount. I have never encountered disgusting service like this for years, and walked out. I found a really cute pair of tan suede Tahari boots and another pair of peep toe leather boots, both on clearance. That's the most I've found in the two years that I lived near this store, so I decided to keep digging and see how far my newfound luck would take me. Long story short, I left with 5 pairs of beautiful boots, adding a pair of knee-high blue velvet, a pair of green suede, and a pair of grey suede ankle boots to my haul. There was also a crazy sale going on (I think it was an extra 25% off all boots). I also had a few gift cards with a couple of dollars left on them. All told, I spent less than $200 on 5 pairs of fabulous boots. What's really crazy is the $324 that I saved... SAVED!! Unreal! That's what I call a score.

Well, we had a moment of silence, JK, before looking up and down the rows of sneakers. She tried on several pairs and fell in love with the Reebok's. Now, I have to say that $85 dollars is the going rate for a pair of nice sneakers for a teenager. So, I think it was a good value. This is a clean and well organized store. The service we received was mostly at the checkout counter and that went smoothly. I am really happy to see the big smile on my granddaughter's face as she left with the shoes she loved.

I visited the store with intention to get help finding a suitable work shoes for my problem (flat foot, planter fasciitis, and small bunions) feet. Grayling warmly greeted me immediately as I entered. I informed him the purpose of my visit. First he measured my foot on a speciality digital foot machine. Then helped with picking out several pairs of shoes to try on. My options are limited due to restrictions we are allowed to wear with our company uniform. The ones he selected was perfect for comfort and meets company standards; however we both agreed they were basic but not stylish. Grayling was so patient and helpful during the lengthy time I was there trying to find something. He's super knowledgeable about feet and gave me a few helpful pointers to get the maximum comfort from my shoes. Wonderful first time experience and won't be the last. I was disappointed that I just didn't find anything that day cause I really wanted to purchase something from him. Highly recommend this location! Note - Grayling suggested checking out the Rockville location as they have more selections and stylish options due to the location. It was a totally opposite customer service experience. Didn't get her name but I believe she maybe the owner. Tall brown skin full figure mature women that was so RUDE. She refused to help me in selecting shoes or trying anything on. Only told me (in the most rude manner) " I can come back in two days cause they just got shipment but she's not putting it out, her husband will do it". I had my receipt and tried to return them. My receipt does not state that there is a 30 day refund time frame. The back is completely blank. I went into the store to try to return them and was I told I couldn't because it was after 30 days. I asked where the 30 day time frame came from and the "sales associate" pointed to the black pad where you sign for your credit receipts. However, my receipt didn't have that information on it so I asked again and she said that a manager I'd have to come back and ask for a manager to see if I could get a return. I asked to see a manager and she said that the manager wouldn't be in until Monday. Monday? It's Saturday. She then lied and said the 30 day information was in the shoe box. I gave her to box to look, as I hadn't opened the box since it was purchased, and of course there was no information about it in the box. By then I was hot because I was not provided with the 30 day information with my receipt. I would have understood had I had that information. She then said I'd have to call customer service and gave me the number. I told her to call customer service and, then, lie 2, she said that customer service wasn't open on Saturday. That was lie because when I left the store (after I was angry and she threatened to call to police. Who does that for an upset customer in these times? People are killed by police for far less) I called the customer service number and customer service picked up and said they would reach out to the store to see if I could get my refund. The lady from national customer service called me back later on and told me the store was going to refuse my refund because it's outside of the 30 days (it's October 10th). National customer service seems to be willing to help me out since they acknowledge that not having the return information on the receipt is a problem. I say all this to say 1, realize your receipt does not give a return by date on it so go at your own risk. 2. Customers aren't always right and yes, I was pissed, but each store must realize where the customer is coming from when they are told they can't get a refund when they have no documentation that says that. Every retail store, especially this one in a shopping center that keeps losing major tenants, need to remember that many brick and mortar stores are dying. If you're in a seemingly dying industry, each store should work to keep customers coming back. Who knows how long this particular store will last in this environment when you can order online from Amazon/Zappos and have no problem with returns. I won't buy from Red Wing shoes at all anymore and will encourage everyone else I know who is in need of work shoes to buy from Amazon/Zappos.
