Took a pair of work boots for exchange on 12/4/25 that were less than 30 days from purchase and had…read morethe box and receipt. I explained the soles were not slip resistant as well as the boors were not water proof as marked, both were a requirement for my job. The young man at the counter insisted on arguing with me about the specifics of the waterproof rating of the boot. I simply asked if he would honor the store's return policy at which time an unidentified female employee(possibly manager) approached me and started yelling and screaming at me regarding the boots. She continued to argue with me about waterproof and non-slip ratings while I explained to her I have only worn them a few times and had almost slipped several times and my feet got soaked during a slight rain. I also explained I've had several different pairs of work boots from the store all which met the requirements I needed for my job unlike the boots I wanted to exchange. I was eventually helped by another female employee and was able to exchange the boots. While checking out, the first female attempted to apologize for yelling at me and during that conversation once again started yelling and talking over me and was extremely rude. I was thoroughly embarrassed and humiliated and do not think I was treated with respect nor as a loyal customer. I'm not sure the name of the female employee that helped me exchange my boots, but she is a great addition to That Boot Store, the other 2 employees are horrible and very rude

After doing two laps around the stores and repeatedly picking up shoes that I was interested in, looking around for someone to help me, not one employee at either location asked if I needed a size or wanted to see something. As a shoe store that doesn't keep all sizes available, this should be the one thing that their employees are good at, but I guess not. And at the Destin commons location I was the only one in the building while the teenage employees just sat on the couch talking to each other. I will gladly take my money elsewhere

The store is good size, nicely decked out and decorated, clean and in good condition. They have a good variety of shoes and a decent selection of gear and clothing. In addition, they have a small selection of running gels, snacks, watches and more. The store itself is cool, has a great runner vibe, but the service, or lack there of gave a totally different vibe. I entered the store and passed by an Associate, and there was no acknowledgement at that time or during my visit. When we were headed back out, we passed by the same Associate plus another one, and again, no acknowledgement. Very weird, especially because one thing I love about running is the culture and community, especially in the stores. Overall, I liked the store, and wouldn't mind stopping back by, but I am hopeful that they improve the service. 3.5 overall for me.

The store is big, with three different entrances, each taking you into a separate portion of the store but still connecting you to the entire shop. One portion is shoes, and the other two are dedicated to clothing and accessories of differing brands. We stopped by to browse and started with the shoes but decided against spending $70 on a pair of flip flops. We ventured into the clothing areas and found the pricing a bit high for all things from shirts to hats, shorts to coolers. They had a small glasses display with Ray-Ban's, but again they were priced slightly higher than the website, and since I did not need them immediately, I passed. My nephew did purchase a hat, which I supported. The hats were in wide variety from colors to design, so I appreciated the purchase. Service was a bit lacking. We were in the store for well over 20 minutes and I was not spoken to one time by an Associate. Overall, Hy's Toggery is quintessential PCB vibes and a good spot to wander around in when visiting Pier Park. Disappointed in the service, or lack thereof. This combined with prices being a bit higher than retail make it a hard sell to scoop up goods from. But, with that, the quality is there. So, give and take.

The store had a…read moregreat selection, and the three of us (a mixed-race family) spent about 20 minutes browsing, discussing sizes, and looking at jewelry. During that entire time, neither employee greeted us, offered assistance, or acknowledged us in any way. What stood out most was the contrast. Before we entered, the employees were warmly chatting with other customers. Once those customers left and we were the only people in the store, the atmosphere became silent and watchful. One employee stayed behind the register while the other followed behind us refolding displays that didn't need attention. Even when my sister stood at the jewelry counter just inches from an employee, she wasn't acknowledged. The final straw came when my sister said, loud enough for both employees to hear, "I'd love to buy several things, but I can't spend money where no one even speaks to us." They clearly heard her, yet neither acknowledged the comment, apologized, nor made any attempt to engage with us. I can't speak to anyone's intentions--only to our experience. We left feeling unwelcome and chose to spend our money elsewhere. That's unfortunate because we would have happily purchased several outfits and jewelry and remembered this as a fun family shopping experience. Excellent customer service should be extended to every customer, and during our visit, it was completely absent. It's unfortunate, because the products were genuinely nice and we would have happily spent thousands. We would have several new outfits that each conjured fond memories of a fun family vacation that included a shopping trip for us girls. The next night we went back and bought something for everyone on our lists. All the employees were amazing, Christina helped me find all the things I was looking for. Some of us had a lot of fun at the quarter machines. Even though I spent a bunch of money, I am super happy with all the things I bought. And all the things I brought as gifts for my folks, they love it. So the next time I am in PCB, I will come by here.
