I've had a great experience at this location. I was fitted at the Fleet Feet in Upper Arlington (also a great experience) and wanted to pick up another pair of the same shoe. The brand new employee was very helpful and while they didn't have my size in stock he ordered it to be delivered directly to me and did help find the insoles and gu I was also looking to purchase. My mom was fitted at this store and she had a great experience and walked out with a new pair of shoes that were exactly what she needed. Their prices are the retail prices provided by the various shoe/clothing/fitness brands but Fleet Feet does offer a rewards program and coupons in the mail. I've been fitted elsewhere in Columbus but will continue to visit Fleet Feet instead for better service and fits! read more

I came here to pick up my race packet for my mommy mile a few weeks ago. I had bookmarked this place to come and check out their shoes. I knew they would be steep in prices and they were as I expected. They matched the price online for Brooks shoes. Although that day I got 15% off for running my virtual race. I can definitely say the more you spend in shoes the better quality they turn out to be when you use them. I had done the 3D imaging on my feet and as I guessed I have issues with over pronation of my feet. One foot is also a little bigger than the other, probably to do with my broken ankle a few years ago. Although getting to the point they matched me with shoes that best tailored to my feet scan. As I guessed Brooks was one of those shoes and I was wearing the shoe coming in to the store but not the best version of it for my feet. I got the one that has more cushion to stabilize my foot as I pronate while running/walking. Now I feel so much more comfortable when running trails and the treadmill and can take on anything I'm thrown like a four miler I did today, thanks to the staff at Fleet Feet! I will definitely tell family and family to come here and check out the shoes as they definitely live up to their standards. It was the best purchase I've made in a while! read more

This place seems a bit more serious about sports and what you put on your feet than most stores. They are very helpful and attentive to your needs and I thought for sure I saw an area in the back for physical therapy. What makes me a fan is that I have done a number on a tendon around my ankle and my ortho doctor gave me a list of recommended sneakers to wear. This store was the only one that I called that had the Brooks shoes I needed. Well... they didn't have them here but they ordered a couple of pair for me from their other store and called me when they came in. That's what I call customer service! I might go back and see if someone there can help me with some ideas of how to help this tendon so I can get back in the game. read more

I was extremely disappointed with the sales associate I had during my visit to this store. I'm not an avid runner, but I love to go on long walks, so I was in need of some new supportive walking shoes. My fiancé is a big runner and also was looking for new shoes. This sales associate sized me, watched me walk on the treadmill and gave me some insights about my gait patterns, proper fitting, etc. (all of which was very helpful and informative). She pulled a few shoes, which I tried on and loved, but unfortunately were a bit out of my price range. My fiancé on the other hand was willing to spend more money on good shoes, as he's training for another marathon. After my fiancé found shoes he liked, we informed the sales associate that I was looking for something a bit cheaper. She replied to us by saying "Yes I completely understand not wanting to spend that much money". Then she proceeding to ring up my fiancé's shoes without even bothering to offer to show me any cheaper shoe options. Coming from a retail background myself, you're always supposed to try to make a sale and make a customer happy. This sales associate was not in the business of doing that with me unfortunately. She was quick to get us in and out (which my fiancé even commented on, despite him finding the shoes he wanted). Mind you, we were only about 15 minutes in to our 30 minute appointment, and there were only 2 other customers in the store (already being helped by other sales associates). Overall, the store and its amenities were impressive, and the employees were very knowledgeable. However this sales associate just came off quite rude it felt like she didn't have the time to truly help me find good, affordable shoes. Unfortunately, this left me with a poor impression of my first experience at Fleet Feet and I probably won't be returning. Due to Covid-19 I scheduled an online shoe fitting. Using Zoom and my iPad I was fitted within 15-20 minutes by giving my shoe size, what I'm planning on wearing the shoes for, and by placing my device on the ground so they could see my walk to determine the best shoe for me. After the fitting I was able to drive to the store and pick up my order contactless. I work in healthcare and needed a comfortable shoe being on my feet all day. Having never shopped at FleetFeet before I was skeptical of being fitted online but it worked out perfectly, and I highly recommend this service. I love Fleet Feet. They are my go to running store. I love that their staff are super knowledgable and able to answer any questions. If they are not sure, they will be sure to get the correct answer for you. You will normally see a familiar face when you go to their stores. I had been running in stability shoes for years after being told I pronate. This was told to me at several different running stores. With training for my first 50k, I was frustrated I was wearing through the heels of my shoes within a hundred miles. Jeff was able to do a gait analysis and assess that I did not need stability shoes. I was refitted in my current shoes and have made it to 400 miles in them. I also love that they have strong ties to the running community. All of their programs are fantastic. They have a wide selection of apparel and accessories and always willing to order an item for you if not in stock. There's not a pressure to buy what might not be exactly right for you. read more

I can't even begin to describe my love of Fleet Feet Columbus. I wandered in there on a whim 5 years ago because I had started running and was having some ankle pain. Ben fit me for a pair of shoes and provided personalized advice on how to modify my stride and foot strike to decrease my ankle pain. When I put some miles in those shoes and realized they still weren't working, I went back in to Fleet Feet. They traded out my shoes for a new pair that fit perfectly at no additional charge to me. From that point on, I was sold. I love that shopping at Fleet Feet allows me to support a local business, but I love even more that I'm investing in people who are dedicated to giving back to the Columbus running community AND are incredibly knowledgeable and provide great service. I've been an active member of their Marathoners in Training program and since run 4 half-marathons with their training and support. They also offer workshops and information sessions on running-related topics, including heart rate guided training, and provide a Couch to 5k/10k program called No Boundaries for those starting out running. The best part of visiting Fleet Feet is that they treat everyone who enters the store like a member of their family. I have never encountered more helpful, knowledgeable, encouraging staff who clearly have a passion for health, wellness, and of course, running. While it may be cheaper to order some running gear online or at a large chain, you truly can't beat the community feel, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly, knowledgeable staff at Fleet Feet Columbus. For my husband's birthday he really wanted new running shoes . The kind that we're fit to his feet and not some random pair from a sale at Kohl's . The process they use to measure, ID and determine his actual walking/running patterns is really cool. They put him on a treadmill and make you walk until you break into a jog. I highly recommend wearing clothes as if you're working out for this process. Not that you'll be sweating but because it'll be easier to determine your shoes . Then they fit you and place many different shoes types on you and you determine which one you like best . Then they redo the measurements and foot ID. It was a wonderful experience! Right now they have 15% off some shoes and buy 3 pairs of socks get one free! So worth it :) read more

I went into Fleet Feet to buy a pair of running shoes and had a great experience. Everyone there is knowledgeable and friendly, and it's overall an excellent customer experience. They measure your feet, watch you walk on a treadmill, ask you some questions about your running habits and what you will need the shoes for, then they bring out a few pairs for you to try on, which they then let you run in outside or on the treadmill to "test drive". The only reasons I am giving them a 4 instead of a 5 are because the store is not that big so you can expect to wait in busy times, and the selection is also not huge. Don't get me wrong, I got a great pair of shoes that I love a lot, but you might want to try a larger store like FrontRunner if you want a wider selection of shoes, clothes and accessories. read more

Back in the day yo, I was a runner. Then life happened - college pressures, marriage, tough pregnancy, childbirth, divorce, remarriage, stepparenting, the list of excuses goes on and on. Realistically ... I'm lazy. There, I said it. I know that I need to take time for myself, and it's worth the effort to get back out and do some "road work". But I've gained a good bit of weight ... my body is greatly different than it was in my early-20s. It stands to reason that I need to make different choices with my footwear to remain safe and comfortable. A friend recommended Fleet Feet for a good fit. My husband and I wandered in there last night, and met with Dave. He carefully looked at our feet and ankles, watched us walk, and used the camera and treadmill to check our pronation. I was confused when he suggested shoes that were a size larger than the shoes I am currently using, but trusted in the process. I tried on the shoes he suggested and oh. Heaven. I took them for a spin last night on the treadmill, and that was the best run (and best runner's high) I've had in years. Like other posters, I am only giving 4 stars because of the size of the store and the selection. Although I got a great pair of shoes (at full MSRP, but it was worth it for the gait analysis), the location is small and somewhat cluttered. I'd like to see a bit more floor space and better hours (it's a haul from Dublin up to Powell in rush-hour traffic after work to make it by 8 PM on weeknights). Otherwise, my experience was spectacular ... and I'll definitely be back. read more

I want to preface this review with this one fact: I've never been a runner, but I've always envied those who can and do. Those people who jog up and down my street making it look so effortless. Those who can go out there and slam their feet to the pavement for more than a mile. Those who can do so without taking a break to walk after a few minutes. So when I decided to make running a 5k one of my goals in life, several coworkers of mine recommended Fleet Feet. Now, I've never paid much money for a pair of shoes in my life. And I've certainly never purchased athletic shoes for any purpose other than every day wear, much less had my feet measured and my jogging watched to see what would be best for me. I was pretty apprehensive about the process. But my current shoes weren't working for me, so I sucked it up and stopped by the store on a Friday evening after work. As other reviews mention: questions are asked, your feet are measured, and your jogging and/or walking is analyzed. I'm not a treadmill runner, so that was a little awkward for me. Then we began the shoe fittings - 3 different pairs were brought out for me to try on. Every single pair felt AMAZING on my feet. I've never had shoes that fit so well and comfortably as these. I could immediately tell a difference in how I walked. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that it seemed as though I had the only female clerk on the floor and she kept running around switching from helping me to helping another customer with some insoles to helping another customer with a sports bra fitting. I wandered the store a bit more than I would have liked while I was getting a feel for the different shoes. Overall I really liked my experience, and I'll definitely be back the next time I need a new pair! read more

I've been to 3 other running shoe stores and although they took time to fit my foot and listen to me, they put me in the wrong shoes and would only offer merchandise credit when I needed to return the shoes after a long run. They have a treadmill where you can try out shoes as well as let the friendly and knowledgeable staff observe your gait so they can suggest the right shoe for you. It is a small store so they might not have everything you're looking for, but they will help you find it and, if you're nice, they might even clue you in as to when they are getting a new shipment so you can come back and be the 1st to snag all the new goodies! read more

I love Fleet Feet Columbus. In June, I started the Marathoner In Training (MIT) program that is hosted at Fleet Feet. A fantastic perk of being an MIT member is that you get a discount on everything in the store. So, while I already loved the store, I couldn't pass up the discount when I needed some running gear. The staff is extremely knowledgable and, best of all, are all runners with experience regarding what works and what doesn't. As for prices, they seem to be spot on. None of the apparel or shoes seemed to be any higher or lower than what you could find online or elsewhere. When purchasing shoes, I would definitely recommend stopping in and getting properly fitted. This involves talking with the staff member about your running goals and then running on a treadmill in the store. They'll record your feet and determine what kind of foot strike you have and what type of shoe you'll need. Don't get running shoes without doing this! The only reason that I rated this 4 instead of 5 is location. Even from Hilliard this can be a bit of a drive and there are certainly closer sporting goods and running stores closer. So, it kind of stinks to have to drive this far to the store. I can't imagine driving here if you live on the east side (Canal Winchester... yikes!) Even still, I would do it. It's a great store and you'll end up getting exactly what you needed at a reasonable price. And, better yet, if you have wanted to finally take that step and become the half-marathoner or full marathoner that you've always wanted to be - you can do it! read more

I have the most ridiculous duck feet ever. For the last 10 years, I have been relegated to the 5E wide super cow shoe from Nike named the air monarch. There is so much leather on this shoe that it's hard to believe the sole is made from rubber. That being said, my wife made a call to Dave and he made a special order after researching ridiculous duck feet. I arrived and Evan was super helpful showing me what was ordered in specifically for me. One of the three pairs of special order shoes were super comfy right out of the box. Evan didn't try to up-sell me insoles, socks, Gatorade gum or anything. My guy!! In and out with my new kicks. My big old awkward @$$ now has a super supportive shoe thanks to these wonderful people. I visited Fleet Feet for the first time this week. I had to pick up a race packet and decided to shop while I was at it. I was in a hurry, but within 5 minutes I had picked out a new warm weather running shirt. What I like about their selection of running clothes is while it may be limited (as compared to, say, Dicks) you know you're being presented with the best options. For me, it helps validate the investment of quality running clothes. The associate was very kind and explained to me their rewards program - for every $250 you spend, you get $25. A friendly and knowledgeable staff. My only gripe is they close too early on Friday. In a previous life I had the energy the hop on the treadmill from time to time and "grind" out a few miles. Sadly it only took a few months post-college for that to end. Truth be told I seriously got back into it on a challenge from coworkers to participate in an upcoming half-marathon. I've never been one to back down and wasn't going to start now hence my encounter with Fleet Feet Sports. I've been shopping their Powell Rd store fairly recently over the past few weeks as I always enjoy picking up my race packet pre race day. The staff couldn't be much friendlier. They're helpful to provide answers and leave you alone to shop when that's all you want. I haven't yet asked for advice on a pair of running shoes so I will leave that another to critique. On top of being prepared for race packet pickups I've also begun to notice how well their team handles the sponsored races including the Scioto Miles training series, Dublin Quarter Marathon, Ohio State Fair 5K, etc. To all those remotely interested in finding out how to start I can't say enough good things about the service and team at Fleet Feet. Fleet Fleet is great. But since that's not really a "review" I'll say more. I'm a long time customer and participant turned coach in their running programs. These folks are seriously passionate about running and healthy lifestyles in general. It's a small-ish locally run shop, so you can expect to have a bit of a wait sometimes but the expertise you get is worth it. I've purchased countless items here... shoes, socks, sunglasses, GPS watches (yes, that's plural), more shoes, winter running gear, etc etc etc. They even offer free social runs and affordable core and yoga classes. I like this store. I have plantar fasciitis and neither my ASICS nor my inserts were helping. I forget her name, but the clerk who helped me was wonderful. She did a 3D scan of my foot, sent me the image and other information, and recommended that I get "Hoka Gaviota 2" shoes. It's been about two months since my purchase and my heel pain is virtually gone! It's unreal how much these shoes helped. The clerk really challenged me to try the Hokas, even though I wasn't excited about the style, the sole, or the price. I tried them and love them. She even ordered me a black pair to wear to work. On a recommendation by a family member I went to Fleet Feet to see if they could help me with running shoe selection, as my current shoes lead to some knee and hip pain when I'm active for over an hour. I worked with Ben, who measured my foot/arches and watched my form while jogging on a treadmill and went on to identify the type and level of support I was missing that can contribute to the hip and knee pain I have been experiencing. He was knowledgeable and very helpful throughout the entire process. I am a very beginning runner, but after lots of time spent researching all things running, I went to Fleet Feet to be fitted for new running shoes. Although I'm no athlete, I felt comfortable there and the sales associate knew the right questions to ask to get me in the right shoe and she was able to answer my questions; they obviously know their stuff! I LOVE FLEET FEET. There, I said it. And it's true. The people here are so friendly and they know their stuff. I came here last weekend to get a new pair of shoes to help me train for all the races I want to run this year, including a couple half marathons. I had never been fitted for shoes before, so it was quite an experience. They really take the time to explore different options and find the right shoes to help you perform. They start by having you walk/run on a treadmill and they filmed my feet on an iPad so I could see how my feet land when I run. Then, they picked out several pairs of shoes for me to try on. Each pair I tried, I put it on and got back on the treadmill for a minute so I could see how it felt. Once I had a pair I thought I liked, they recommended I try some inserts for my shoes. I tried them and loved them and they have helped me so far since I bought them...I just scored my fastest 5k time last weekend in them. They even recommended socks, which I tried and loved. The shoes are priced really well compared to the quality and type of service you get here. I won't buy shoes any where else from now on. Fleet Feet is also the partner for so many cool running events around Columbus. I joined the Scioto Miles training series to prepare for Cap City. M3S sports always has their packet pickups here and everyone is always so friendly. I'm still a newbie when it comes to running, but they make you feel comfortable and they really are interested in making sure you have a fun, safe time. read more

I was very suprised and pleased that he received the same attention and customer service as an adult and I have received from the employees during my past visits. So I'm not a runner. I'm right around a 5K in terms of races I like to run. But I still go on fairly frequent 2-3 mile runs every week and my feet were really starting to feel it from my own shoes. I was always that person that just went to Dick's or some other chain-y sports store to buy a pair of cheap athletic shoes. This time... I really wanted to get legit shoes, and choose the right ones for my feet and running style. I heard about Fleet Feet through a friend (because it was the packet pick up location for the color me rad run last year). Everything I heard about this place is true. As soon as I walked in, I was helped. I was pretty intimidated by the guy helping me. He was all decked out in running gear and basically looked like he had just gone for a 20 mile run before coming in to work. Turns out he is the owner! And he was very efficient in finding me some shoes. I ran on a treadmill and they taped my feet so he could watch it back in slow motion and look at my style and where I was landing. He found me a few neutral shoes to choose from. They were all around $115. It's definitely more expensive here, but I was willing to splurge. He was even kind enough to encourage me to keep running based on my motion, and to aim for longer races. That made me feel more confident as a runner for sure :) I have gone for a few runs in them and no complaints so far. My feet feel loads better and I like that they really seem to know what they're talking about when analyzing a runner and their shoes. I also like that Fleet Feet supports lots of local causes. I saw lots of posters and pamphlets supporting upcoming races, walks, and even climbs. read more
