If it's busy, you'll have to sign in at the front door, but yes they are very helpful. I came here looking for some comfortable slip on black sketchers or something similar. Unfortunately, there was nothing in that category for me, and it should be pointed out that they have no leather upper business shoes here at all (or ladies heels either). This is strictly a running tennis shoe business with accessories. If you take running shoes seriously, this is the place to come, especially if you don't mind spending between $120-$250 for a pair. I purchased a pair of Hoka shoes and inserts to help my recovery from plantar fasciitis. They felt great but squeaked so loud when walking in them. I wore them into the store and Emma greeted me and I told her to listen to my shoes as I walked. Three steps in and Emma asked if I had inserts in my shoes. My eyes widened and I replied yes. Emma said the inserts needed to be waxed on the bottom. OOPS, they forgot to do that when I bought them. We came here to get the shoes my wife has grown to love, the step child also wanted some good new shoes so they came for the first time. Shana prefers this location to the one closer to our home. They do have a large selection of not only shoes but socks, water bottles, leg rollers, earphones, and lots of other items for runners or walkers as well as to help with pain or stretching. Shana got her first personalized, molded, insole which she is loving. The staff is knowledgeable but I have noticed no matter what location we go to, about half the staff is friendly and outgoing and the other half you feel like they hate this, answering the questions and helping people. They are not rude per se, just look down, frown or never smile, give off the vibe they want to be not helping. Weird that is always seems to be a split. We had someone training or shadowing with our guy. He was way upbeat and making jokes, laughing and watching. The guy helping us knew his stuff but again you felt like you were bothering him. They both found new shoes, Shana both her walking, everyday shoes and some new running shoes which she is in LOVE with. We don't come here often, about twice a year to replace the shows. My son and I went to this store on a Sunday afternoon. When we walked in, there was a sign in sheet by the door in order to be helped. Interesting. We wandered around the store while waiting for our turn. I sat on a bench briefly to adjust my shoe. As I was finishing, a sales person came over and told me I needed to move since he and another customer needed that bench. I was getting up anyway, but it seemed rude, especially since there were other empty benches. We continued to wait for another 20 minutes until my son's name was called. Then he stepped on the pad to have his feet measured and walked so his gait could be studied. We then went thru the process of actually trying on a couple of inserts and sneakers. We did find a combination that he was happy with, and I hope will make walking more comfortable for him. Maddox was our sales associate and he was both friendly and helpful. Note: this is not a cheap shoe store. They sell good running shoes, so don't expect to get out the door without spending at least $120. The inserts run around $50, so much less expensive than custom orthotics at my podiatrist. read more

Awesome store! Although we had to wait about 40 mins it was definitely worth it. They have scanners that can detect your shoe size, arch, heel size etc. which they use to give you recommendations on shoes and insoles. I started getting knee pain from running so i thought i'd splurge and get a pair of nice of running shoes. My new pair of running shoes has definitely helped and i have not had any knee pain during my jogs. Their customer service is great. Never heard of this place, saw the sign, and was in the market to get new running shoes, and I am SO glad I came in! Emily greeted me upon arrival and went straight to work finding me the perfect shoe. She was perfectly patient explaining the process and breaking down my scan results. The foot scan equipment blew me away. I have been a soccer athlete for 30 years and I never knew something like this existed for free for anyone to try out! Great way to learn all about your feet from your actual size to your arch, width, how your feet impact when you walk, etc. Love the technology to help find the best shoes to fit your feet for running! I didn't have any brands or pairs in mind which was nice for Emily to give me the options she recommended. Her first two pairs were actually on the money for fitting and comfort. The Hoka Clifton 9s ended up being my favorite pair, but unfortunately, they didn't have the colors I preferred in stock. I did leave with the Asics Glideride Max. These are SO comfy. I already ran 5 miles in them and am very happy with how they feel. I didn't get the inserts, I wanted to try them without them first. I also got a pair of Goodr sunglasses I have been wanting for when I run, bike, pickleball, and play volleyball. I already tried them doing all of those activities and they stay on perfectly! Shoutout to Nick at Fleet Feet: You let me down with typical shoe sales tactics three times. First, great job on the measurement. Nothing like having data like that for proper fit, except you trashed it in order to sell from your stockroom rather than fit me properly. You pushed a D width onto my foot when I measured wider. So, after trying to break these in. I returned them. The first thing you said was, had you tried on the extra wide width before buying these. Answer no because you did not have one. You didn't bring it up. You assured me D was what I needed, though I measured wider. Second, during the return, you mentioned my Hoka Arahi 7 model had many customer complaints for pinching the side of feet, fitting narrow. Wow, my exact complaint. Nick, you weren't forthright with me at the time of the sale. You deliberately misfit me. You wouldn't exchange them because of store policy. But your policy ignoring product complaint information disregarding shoe measurement data and lying to customers - that actual operation policy stands in tact. I remain disappointed and a dissatisfied customer. BTW, a friend of mine had the same misfit treatment with stacks of shoe boxes and nothing in the store her size. She did not purchase. I visited my doctor with complaints of various foot pains and she recommended Hoka's. After a quick web search I found that Fleet Feet sold them and they were only 10 minutes away. I arrived at 6:10 and knew I was cutting it close considering they close at 7pm on Monday. One salesperson assisted me quickly with my request. I wandered around trying to figure out if these shoes were as amazing as my doctor proclaimed. They certainly felt ok, but I was going on a trip in a week with LOTS of walking and needed to be sure. Emily found me testing out the shoes, asked some questions, and offered to SCAN MY FEET. My results were unexpected, but they explained a lot of why I'd been having issues. Emily returned with a few different pairs that could work for my mid-matched semi-wide feet with high insteps. She also grabbed a few different insoles and socks considering I'd be walking 10+ miles a day soon. Emily talked me through the features and benefits of each pair. I was thrilled to be helped by someone so knowledgeable after all the issues I'd been having. I'd been wearing ASICS Gel Nimbus standard width size 10.5 for years, but I purchased the Gel Nimbus 9.5 wide. And the flexible insoles with extra cushion and a pair of socks because they felt AMAZING. The whole process took almost an hour. Purchased ASICS for $150 six months ago and the shoes already have a hole in the toe. I called and the store could do nothing. I was asked how much I wore the shoes. Not much! I went there per a recommendation from my dr. for leg/back pain. Shoes did not make much of a difference and obviously the fit was wrong. My big toe touches the front top of the shoe and made a hole with minimum wear. As stated I have leg/back problems and did not put excessive miles on the shoe. I'm fiancé and I have been running quite frequently lately so decided we needed to get some quality shoes. Beware that this place has a good amount of staff but the fitting process takes a while (for good reason) so if you want something quick this isn't the place for you. They have really cool technology that looks at all aspects of your feet to correctly fit you. They are very educated and show you the results and which shoe is best for you feet based on the info. The one thing that is new for me is that they pick out shoes for you and then you decide which of the ones they picked is for you. So if you pick shoes based on color or style, not likely the place for you. But again, fit is number one here. It just takes some getting used to. I usually like to think about my purchases and felt like I was pushed to buy the shoes when she asked if I wanted to wear them out of the building. We ended up buying because I'd rather know the shoes are great for my feet than to go buy a pair somewhere else that could be horrible for long distance running. Tried to go to this location to get running shoes for my husband. When we got there, all but one of the associates were busy helping other customers, so we waited for our turn. After 10 minutes, another customer walked in and was seen right away while we were still waiting, which confused me because there was a customer in there ahead of us also waiting to be helped. Who I can only assume is the manager asked us to sign in, which we didn't know to do. So we signed in and were next on the list. When an associate became free, she helped another customer despite our names being next on the list. At this point we had been waiting for 25 minutes with an antsy toddler. We decided to take our business elsewhere. We were fleet feet customers when we lived in Houston where the customer service was always excellent. We will not be customers at this fleet feet and we will advise friends to avoid this store. Update: the owner responded to my google review with falsehoods about helping customers in the order they came in, which is incorrect. Even my husband was dumbfounded when the woman and son duo who walked in 10 minutes after us was helped right away while we just stood there waiting. He also stated that the woman who asked me to sign was a FORMER employee and now customer who is allowed to check herself out at the cash register when they get busy. I used to work in retail myself and this seems highly questionable and somewhat unethical. If my review was the only one like this, I'd think this was a fluke. When it comes to me and running shoes, I have to exercise self-control so as not to walk in and yell "take my money!". Who knew I could have more fun on a trip to buy running shoes than a trip to Sephora?! I'm a fan of Texas Running Company but this last time I was in need of new shoes I was feeling the desire to not have to travel as far. I'd heard about Fleet Feet from friends who had joined running classes there as well as my fitness camp trainer, who clued me in to FF offering discounts to campers from our organization. When I got there I was initially surprised at how small the location is. With the service and experience I received, in hindsight there was no cause for concern. In the past I'd had my "gait" analyzed, feet measured and was rocking & rolling with one brand/model of shoes for a few years. Lately I'd been having more pain and things that annoyed me with my latest pair of shoes. The staff person was attentive to my needs and concerns and very collaborative. I ended up going with shoes from a different company (and I tend to be a loyalist) that have been great for me. I will definitely go back to Fleet Feet again and again.
