Love that they don't overwhelm with show selections and keep it simple. Having led a run group at one time, RTR was very supportive and even offered to hold shoeminars on site. I feel that compared to other stores, RTR's price points are very comparable, often beating the competition. The staff are all helpful and very knowledgeable when it comes to fittings and recommendations. Hey, I've shelled out thousands of dollars in the past 13 years and drove from South Austin to their store because they do it right.

I never throw away blown out tennis shoes because I use them when I work in the yard and walk for short distances. Just like food or other items that expire fitness shoes have a life. Depending how frequent you use your use, you could average 6 months to over a year. When I was training for marathons, I literally bought a pair of running shoes every 6 months because of the long distance running. I always know when I am ready for a new pair of fitness shoes. The red flag sign that scream shoe replacement is needed primarily is pain. I have a high arch and when the arch falls in fitness shoes, my feet hurt. Another sign for fitness shoe replacement include worn-out shoe soles, and a noticeable decrease in traction while you are moving in class. When your feet are cushioned, your feet are happy. They maybe singing Pharrell's song, Happy. Smile. To my surprise Academy was open until 10 pm. The customer service desk managed by Rick was super helpful. He allowed me take my shoes that I ordered online back to their shoe section to see if I could find a match in black. Unfortunately, black was sold out. However, I decided to keep my fitness shoes because they were comfortable on my feet, on sale ("Hot Deal") and I did not pay tax on the shoes. Happy feet...Happy Delores!

I had to spell out everything because the representative couldn't even spell "William Cannon." I also had to repeat myself at least seven times because she wasn't listening. On top of that, there was a screaming child in the background throughout the call, which made it even more difficult to communicate. After being on the phone for about 45 minutes, all she could tell me was that I would receive an email if someone had contacted me about my receipt. She couldn't even look up the information while I was on the phone. Considering I had already spelled everything out multiple times, it felt like she either wasn't paying attention or simply wanted to get me off the phone because she couldn't spell anything I remained polite and patient the entire time, but the level of customer service was unacceptable. Customer service representatives should be able to listen carefully, communicate effectively, and accurately process basic information. I hope you invest in better training and hire people who are prepared to provide the level of service customers deserve. Maybe someone that can spell William cannon

Gorgeous displays, stunning pieces everywhere you look, and it's honestly just fun to wander even if you're just browsing. Each floor is basically a little runway of gorgeousness, and I kept catching myself doing slow laps like I was at a museum of handbags and shoes. Everything is styled beautifully, so even if you don't plan to buy, it still feels like a full designer experience. There is luxury pricing, but even if you want to just browse there are tons of options and so much help in the store for your budget. What really made it stand out though was the service. I only had an actual consultant in Chanel, but everywhere else in the store I still felt taken care of. Staff were attentive and kind without hovering, and I never got that awkward vibe of being ignored or followed. I got to browse with zero pressure, which makes all shopping so much more enjoyable. Even the parking feels fun with palm trees out front. If you're going for a certain brand or inside boutique (like Chanel), give yourself extra time to explore. This location is also right by an area with a bunch of shopping, food spots, and fun stuff to do (we even did VR nearby), so it's easy to make this stop part of a whole outing.

Roari was quick to offer many ideas and suggestions once she heard me say I was frustrated with Nike shoes. She spent a long time and a lot of effort running back and forth finding different colors, fits, styles, and sizes. I literally went from being ready to walk away from Nike shoes permanently to falling in love with a very cute pair of Vapormax 3 flyknits!!! Roari was not only extremely helpful but also relatable, enjoyable, caring, and excited to help me solve my shoe dilemma. I couldn't give her enough props for her amazing customer service and will seek her out any time I have shoe questions in the future. Give this amazing dedicated employee a raise!!
