As someone that is very new to running, I did not know where to begin to look for running shoes. Our friends recommended Fleet Feet so that we could get a foot and gait analysis before deciding on a shoe. This Fleet Feet location is fairly easy to find, next to an Escalante's and in the same plaza as Second Baptist Church. When we walked in, Pat immediately greeted us with a smile and asked if we needed any help. Because we visited Fleet Feet the weekend after the big storm in Houston, their internet wasn't working so Pat couldn't do the Fit ID fitting process with me. Nonetheless, he did the best he could to help me! He observed my gait and measured my foot size. He brought out several brands (Hoka, Saucony, Asics, New Balance, Brooks) and had me try on different styles and sizes until I was satisfied. I never felt rushed and Pat was extremely patient with me! I ended up purchasing a pair of Saucony's which felt great on my feet. The prices of the shoes here range from about $120 and up. There are also tons more colors in the back that the staff will happily bring out for you if you ask. Overall, a great first experience at Fleet Feet! I will be back! Beckii was warm, welcome and knowledgeable with the shoes I was looking for. She led me to a machine that scanned how feet while I was standing up. She then showed me the information gathered from that scan and gave me detailed explanations regarding the shoes types that match with my feet and how it affects how I walk and stand. She also paid attention to my gait to further help tailor her recommendations. Afterwards she brought out at least 8 different shoe styles and sizes for me to try on, made sure they were fitted right, and had me walk to double check how they felt for me. If the ran too small, she'd immediately get the next size up and had me try them on so I'd get the actual feel the shoe was meant for. She made sure I was satisfied with the shoes I came out with. I decided on the ASICS Gel Kayano 32 for $165. I'd recommend talking to her about when you come to this store, she made the experience wonderful and I definitely walked out happy. I only wished that I came to this store a couple years ago, my feet could've used the help then. I really appreciate that Beckii gave me her undivided attention and answered all the questions and concerns I had. After going through several pairs of running shoes over the years and always having foot pains and shin splints, I decided to finally have a formal consultation. Several of my runner friends recommended Fleet Feet. I came on a Sunday when it was pretty busy due to tax free weekend but still felt like I had undivided attention. Mike was super helpful with walking me through the consultation. I stepped on a machine that analyzed the arches of my feet and then he observed my gait. Based on that, he recommended several pairs of shoes that would work best for my feet. Mike did such a wonderful job that I ended up purchasing 2 of the 3 pairs he recommended. The service at this location is completely awful. I had 90$ of Fleet Feet rewards, bought a pair of shoes online, went in to exchange it and the customer service rep "dissolved" the 90$ and therefore I could not use it again. This was NOT explained beforehand, otherwise I would have just kept the shoes. What kind of stupid procedure is this? In other words, to exchange the same shoe for a different size would have cost an additional 90$. The customer does not care if online versus b&m are two different entities if you only explain that AFTER the fact. Top that off with me circling the store multiple times and no one offered to help me. But other customers who did not look like me walked in and were serviced right away. I will not bother shopping here again because of the lack of communication and the "theft" of my reward points after spending thousands of dollars to earn them. This really is pathetic. It's too bad Fleet Feet just acquired Run On. Run On customer service is in a completely different league than this garbage store. Bad process, bad communication, bad customer service. read more

I was just in the store and not a single employee was wearing a mask nor is there a mandate to wear a mask for the customers. This is completely outrageous behavior considering what we are all going through with the Covid virus. As the employees do not wear a mask even if they are vaccinated they can easily spread the disease from one patron to the next. This action shows nothing but total and complete disregard for the healthcare workers in Houston who are stressed beyond any reasonable expectation and will have to take care of all those people coming in who are not vaccinated who did not wear a mask and who have contracted the disease consequently. I am new to running (past year) and probably average 50-60 miles a week. I have never properly been fit for shoes- just bought off the shelf or internet and I have been having some discomfort so decided to do something about it. I choose to go to Fleet Feet but not sure if it was the right decision or not. I seemed to be bothering the sales guy as I explained my routine and concerns. He measured my foot and brought me several shoes. I was expecting my gait would be observed before/after or that once the shoe was on..a check to see where my toe was. Other customers in the store seemed to be getting this more tailored attention. Tried several shoes and then asked about a specific pair on display - response was- those are $200 shoes. Okay and? I am looking for comfort and was never asked a price point. Felt like maybe I didn't fit the profile in image/dress or something as to someone who would spend $200. I bought the $200 shoes and guess what - I would have spent more for the right shoe. read more

I love Fleet Feet but this was my first time shopping at this location. The guys in this store acted like they did not want to help me. One never even acknowledged me when I entered or left the store. I realize I entered the store about 35-40 minutes prior to closing but I also was the only customer in the entire store. While I was in there only one other gentleman came in to make a purchase and the guy who initially ignored me was eager to assist him. The second guy kind of warmed up to me after being in the store about 3-5 minutes. I typically go to the Greenbriar location. I ended up with a pair of Nike Flyknit but I am still feeling a bit lukewarm about my experience at this location and not sure if I will ever return, especially to this location. read more

Horrible service, very dismissive. I have purchased shoes here for years (service used to be great) and recently (9/12/20) bought my mother shoes for her daily walks. After about 6 weeks her shoes started to tear. She was finally able to bring them in town for us to go and exchange. When we arrived at store and advised of the tear, they only asked if the 60 day return period was up. I began to advise that it was however the issue occurred well before the 60 days and just got in town to exchange. They didn't seem to care to listen. I had to flat out ask, so there's nothing you cans do ans they just said now and went back to chit chatting amongst them selves. These were some fairly expensive saucony so they were a cheap poorly made brand. I was actually also needing to buy a new pair for myself but their service made sure I will take my business elsewhere. Bought shoes and was told I could return if they didn't work out. Sounds great. Then when I pay I tell them does it matter cash or credit, they say no, so I say great I have cash today let me pay with that. I find the same shoes online $50 cheaper so I immediately return, unused. They said we don't give cash returns. So I ask if I would have paid with card would you return and he stares at me and said yeah sure. That doesn't even make sense to me. Then he points out at the bottoms of receipt no cash returns. Great I wish they would have told me that when I bought them. They didn't give me receipt by hand it was in the bag along with the shoes. I'm a Brooks wearer and I've worn through a good 3-4 pairs of their shoes this past year (which I recently learned is normal considering how much I run ) and I choose to walk into this store each time I need a new pair. Manny has assisted me many times in my purchases and he is so pleasant and always happy to assist! This last visit of mine, he went out of his way to see if any of their other locations still had a pair of the Brooks Ghost 11 in my size because I was hoping to catch a good deal and grab an outdated pair on sale. Unfortunately none of the other locations did but I appreciated his efforts in trying to help me save some money! Also, Feet Fleet has an app with a rewards system that gives you discounts based upon how many shoes you purchase with them. I went into this store with my husband to buy a new pair of running shoes. Upon entering the store the sales person proceeded to tell us that we could not be helped because he had an appointment n 10 minutes and then we would have to wait until one of the sales people were available to help us. When my husband asked about high arch supports. The sales guy decided to tell us that no high end running shoes have arch support you have to buy them separately. The sales person was very rude and argumentative. We were clearly unwanted in this store so we left. We are not trash walking into the store but we were treated that way bi do not recommend this place to anyone. Also I checked into the brand of shoes we were considering and they do have shoes that have a higher arch support. Clearly this guy didn't know what he was talking about. The store I'm referring to is in Vancouver Washington. Three key words: Outstanding Customer Service! I just recently purchased a second pair of running shoes from Fleet Feet, and although I tried to stray and find them elsewhere...in the end I ended up coming back. Corey was my sales guy this time around. I explained to him how I have been having difficulty with shin splints, and also let him know I was a bit worried I may be a pronator or under-pronator and didn't know if I was even running in the right shoes that provide the proper support. Last time around I insisted on picking them out myself without help from them. (Big mistake, lesson learned) He asked me to take off my shoes and socks. He then had me walk back and forth a few times. He examined each step I took carefully, and finally determined that I'm actually a normal runner, but suggested maybe I could use a shoe with more cushion support. He also showed me which type of shoe I should stay away from, as I didn't have use or need for some of the features they came with. A few minutes later he had me try on several pairs of shoes. He even showed me a nice little trick about how to properly put them on and lace them up to secure the foot nicely in place. The fourth pair was a charm in my search for 'the ones.' They felt light but yet super soft and cozy when my foot landed. I loved the fact that I felt no pressure at all to pick the most expensive pair or rushed to make up my mind in any way. Corey was super patient; he even let me have alone time so I could think. Another big plus is the fact that he let me know that I could wear them to run around the track or Memorial Park once, and if I changed my mind about them I could return them. Wow! I was standing on the treadmill when the douchebag that serves as manager walks up and in a very dismissive manner tells me, "we need to use the treadmill." Not, "hey man, you mind if we hop on? I need to help this customer." or "could you excuse us please?" I don't mind moving when I'm in the way, but I do mind douchebags who speak to others in dismissive tones. Normally, I have the character to speak up to folks who do that, but I wasn't about to sit around and wait to talk to a manager who is already a douchebag. Before this, I put up with their really crammed space, and uninterested staff because I could at least find what I was interested in on my own. I would not recommend anyone I know to this location. In fact I cannot warn anyone enough to NEVER COME HERE to make a shoe purchase. I went in on Friday and was fit for some shoes. They did not work out for me so I went to return them 2 days later. An employee, lets just say his name was JOE. this guy made me feel terrible about trying to return the shoe. Basically called me an idiot for buying the shoe in the first place despite being fitted for them at the store by another employee. JOE made me feel really terrible about having to return my shoes. He then began to question me in an accusatory manner. He made me second guess what shoe size I should be wearing and said it was a mistake to try other brands of shoes if one shoe has worked in the past. The best part was, Joe never even attempted to look at my gait and try to put me in a shoe that was better for me. I will never ever shop here again and I highly recommend you look elsewhere to find shoes. The customer service at Luke's LOcker is amazingly more warm and friendly. If you want to feel embarrassed and ridiculed for buying shoes that hurt your feet, then go ahead and shop here. The purchasing experience is actually somewhat ok, less professional than other places, but passable. HOWEVER, the post purchase experience here is beyond poor and the employees will make you feel guilty if your first choice does not work out. The whole mantra of the store is that they want you to be satisfied, well i challenge that statement as that is not the experience I had at all. Highly recommend you look elsewhere. read more

Fleet Feet is like the Nordstrom's of Running Shoes. First class service!! The staff at Fleet Feet actually care about finding the right shoe for you and not just trying to make a sale. It's hard to find places like that nowadays. As a disclaimer, I DO NOT like running nor do I know anything about what to look for in a running shoe. My cardio workouts consist of 2-minutes running, 2-minutes walking, and repeat. Sad, isn't it? But even with the small amount of running I do, over the past several months, I've been getting sharp pains under the arches of my feet, so I decided to get a new pair of kicks. I told Jerry (my sales rep) about my problem and he watched me walk back and forth in a straight line without my shoes on. Apparently, I overpronate a lot when I run and I need shoes that have a "stability core" to them...which my old shoes did not have. Jerry went to the back room and pulled out 7 pairs of shoes for me to try on and talked me through the features of each one. He would gently place my foot in each shoe and lace them up for me...by the 4th pair I started to feel guilty, but he insisted. Jerry was very patient with me and my indecisiveness as I tried and retried on everything. Half an hour later, I walked out with a new pair of Brooks. I went running today with my new kicks and no sharp pains, yay! In any regards, this review is for the store, not the shoe. Service is top notch and I'll be back (400 miles later). read more
