I have intermittently come to Hopkins T&A for various issues when I need a repair service nearby…read morethat won't charge an arm and a leg for basic maintenance issues. I am from south central MN and have a family mechanic and tow insurance for the distance there for larger issues, but for smaller issues I would like to not have to drive an hour and drop off my car and borrow one and the whole rigamarole. It's nice to have somewhere nearby. In my experience, I remember the service to be timely, not too costly, and well done. I get a solid, uncomplicated description of the issues otherwise existing in my vehicle as a person without car background, past what I've picked up as a regular commuter, some of what was described to me being more or less what I'd anticipated with a used $3k Toyota Corolla that I've had for a few years now. I appreciate being able to text Lisa regarding issues that come up and negotiate time to come by to get it looked at, so I can pass along accurate written information at my convenience, versus some other auto places in the area I've tried to go through that were phone call only. I don't mind the wait as long as they gave me quality service and I think they did. My windows were wiped clean, one of the staff walked through the types of oil and service they provide & asked me to wait in their waiting area with coffee and water. When my car was ready, I gave them my $15 off coupon and paid. The gentleman told me they provide free top offs on several liquid things for my car between now and my next oil change. This means I don't have to worry about putting in windshield wiper fluid or topping off the oil if needed. Such a relief! The staff here are humble and enjoy what they do.
