Treated like a total jerk within 30 seconds of being in the store. Told me they were closing soon (it was 7:45 pm...they close at 9 pm) and said there are no lanes. I asked when the next available lane would be open and the guy just said "THEY'RE ALL BOOKED UP!"...urging me to leave. Meanwhile, I brought my firearm novice friend along, who wants to buy a 1911. I also wanted to buy a 1911 and I was ready to do so that night. No one asked me if I needed any help...I was more of an annoyance to them rather than a customer...Reminds me of the attitude you get at Shooters Shop in West Allis. Unless they do something for me, that'll be my final visit. There are PLENTY of stores that sell the gun im interested in. Also, for the record McMiller is a far better facility and the staff is heads and tails above the staff at Fletcher's. Sorry guys, I gave you an honest chance and you treated me like I was an annoying little kid. read more

I know this is an older range that has been here for a long time, but this has to be one of the cleanest and best maintained ranges I have seen anywhere. Staff was great. Selection of firearms was excellent. Prices were much more reasonable than the other range in town. Bravo! read more

I went here when I went to visit my brother in Milwaukee. First off, the staff are really nice and friendly! Prices for ammo and the range were a little cheaper here than at some of the places in IL which is nice. It's also a good place to shoot because it's a little bigger, thus waiting time isn't bad. read more

Very friendly workers, decent gun rental selection. A little pricey at $15 a lane, doesn't matter if you stick 2 people in one lane or if you get 2 lanes, still $15 per person basically. Go here atleast twice a month and have a good time everytime. read more

I stopped in Fletcher arms of my 14-year-old son which was a couple of rentals off the wall and had a blast. They recently placed an interactive video that looks pretty cool and I will be trying that out soon. Fletcher offers a lot: Range: it's well lit, the benches are not bad and the separation walls are better than other places. The lanes are manual and it's loud since it's a concrete building. I've been there several times now and I've never been on the long range but I assume it's similar. It's $15 a person even if you share a lane. Couples night is Wednesday and then you get two for one if you share a lane. No officer on the range but outside the door. You have to watch a video before you shoot but once that's done next time you are good to go. Classes: they are offered by an outside person. I took the basic hand gun class and it was really good. Bob did a great job and I learned a lot from him. It was well worth the money. Store: lots of options, lots of accessories, the staff seems knowledgeable. They also have rentals which is nice to try before you buy. read more

Had a great experience at Fletcher Arms. A friend and I received a private basic pistol lesson from Robert (Bob) -- who was an outstanding instructor. Bob was professional, patient, thorough and very helpful. We fired a revolver, a glock, and another gun the name of which I've forgotten. I plan on returning and would recommend this place to anyone. Fletcher Arms used to be a business with competitive prices that valued repeat customers. But they got greedy and their prices are no longer competitive. And they do not take care of their good customers. There are other gun stores in the area that offer better prices and appreciate my business. Fletcher Arms has lost my business. read more

Fantastic service and great comfortable atmosphere to learn how to properly handle and shoot a gun. I was a bit nervous about going at first as I have been to other ranges and didn't get the warmest of welcomes being a women walking in the door. I went with my husband to watch him shoot. I stayed in the shop area. Two of the male staff members behind the counter were "ok" and the third was really nice to everyone (he was very tall). My husband signed up for a year membership and went in to go shoot. One staff member went in to check on all of the shooters and noticed my husband had nicked his finger. They came out of the range to wash and put a band aid on it. I went to the counter to check on my husband and as he walked away that staff member said something under his breath to the other staff member and they both laughed. Now I can't say they said anything bad but I thought it was very ironic that he whispered something as my husband walked away. I later told my husband what happened when we were outside and we decided, why give a company with employees that might make fun of customers our money. He canceled his membership 1 hour later. After reading some negative reviews I think I might be pretty spot on that they said something about him. read more

I have been there several times. It always seemed very amateurish, but is fairly priced so I went back. On my most recent and last trip there it appears they took away any lImit to how many people can use a booth. The range looked like a waiting room. Groups of people leaning against the walls, several booths video taping each other shoot. It is very disconcerting hearing the people in booths next to you asking where the safety is to their friends, not knowing how to clear or load their weapons or clear a jam. When I finally had enough and started to leave someone, I assume an employee, was blocking the door watching someone turn in their rentals. After saying excuse me several times he finally told me to "hang on" then moved. Overall it is an uncomfortable range to shoot on due to the overcrowding and ignorance of others and rude employees. Would not recommend and I will not be back. read more

I'm a novice with guns, and Fletcher is a good range for everyone from novice upwards. There were people using the range at the same time that were clearly either law enforcement or military, and we were all enjoying ourselves. The only thing I would suggest is that, if you are new to the sport, ask for extra instruction. Ask lots of questions. Don't be afraid to sound stupid or nervous...it will make your experience safer and more enjoyable The guys behind the counter are happy to tutor you as much as you want, but you have to ask for it. read more

Found out about this place from a former co worker when I was trying to find a place to take my newly obtained .454 casull Raging Bull. I used to use the range over at the shooters shop because it was close to where I live in tosa, but they wouldn't allow my new revolver. After being to Fletcher, I doubt that I'll ever go back. Not only is their range properly ventilated, I was able to bring my Raging Bull there to finally shoot it. The prices for cleaning supplies are very good. Haven't gotten to talk to the staff about purchasing a firearm, as my wife thinks I have too many as it is. Hopefully I'll be able to talk her out of that. I plan on bringing her here for her first time shooting. I'm also planning on taking their concealed carry classes here. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I'm not a big fan of their target pulley system, if you have one round go too high, your target will be there bobbing and dancing for a bit before it settles down, had that happen when I was seeing how accurate I could be with my .45 at the farthest distance I could put the target. Overall, Fletcher has definitely hooked them a permanent customer for their range and possibly for purchasing a firearm, if their process are right... Overall, great store and range read more

Worst range I've ever been to. They photocopy your ID. When I asked if people complain about that because of the other shop that sends everybody's info to the cops they said that it was a good way to catch felons. So, I'm pretty sure my info isn't safe there. I'm not too worried about that. They make you watch a "safety video" which involves teaching you how to shop in their gun shop. So you're standing in the gun shop watching a video of a guy in the gun shop that you're in show you where things are. Don't really understand the need for this. I tried not to make a big deal out of things because my brother was wanting to rent some guns because he's going to buy his first gun and wanted to try some out. They had 4 or 5 models that he was interested in, so he bought 100 rounds and rented the gun. He shot 20 rounds or so and went to swap the gun for another model and was told that he could only do that once and would have to pay for another rental to get any other models. I've never heard of this anywhere. They charge full price for every person on the range even if you're sharing a lane. Again, a practice I've never heard of. Then, their ventilation system blew down onto the range right around the 20 foot mark, so any targets hanging between 20 and 30 feet would start rocking violently. I had some fun with it because it's not often you find an indoor range with moving targets, but my brother being new to shooting was getting very frustrated with it. The guys in the lane next to me had to just stop shooting every time the ventilation kicked in. Needless to say we won't be going back ever again. My brother will just have to come down to Kenosha County by me for the rest of our range trips. Shooters in Racine and Outdoorsman in Winthrop Harbor are far, far superior experiences to this place. read more

The range was ok, priced fair, really no complaints about that at all, I would shoot there again if I was in the area. I do think theybare over priced, or at least were last time I was there, I test fired 3 different, bit similar pistols that I was deciding between with the intention of buying which one I liked best. That was until I found out they were asking almost 50% more than what I knew the pistol went for. I ended up doing an online order and paying an FFL, I would mich rather shop locally and don't mind maying a bit more to do so, not even figuring tax in, I mentioned that hoping they would would work with me on the price, the person behind the counter told me that "This company makes different models of pistols and some are more expensive, I clearly told him that it was the same exact model, at which point he was apparently done talking. I also question the knowledge of some people behind the counter, I overheard a gentleman ask tgem if there were any fully automatic 308s made... he was laughed at and told that they would be impossible to shoot and no. That's funny, I can think of several, such as the M240b that I shot and found to be very controllable and pleasant(other than some hot brass falling down my BDU sleeve). There are several others I can think of as well, and not just crew-served belt-fed ones. I was bothered more by the arrogance of his reply than the ignorance. "I don't know, but I can find out." is such a better answer that just fabricating an answer from thin air. Like I said, decent range, but should be more reasonable with prices and have more knowledgeable staff rather than novices passing themselves off as experts and spreading misinformation...unlike the question and answer I overheard, some misinformation can be dangerous or unnecessarily costly. I would suggest better employee training/education or to defer questions that they don't know the answer to someone that might, I don't expect every one to know everything, but be humble enough to learn more. read more
