Poached eggs with beetroot and ricotta- they have that too and it sure is yummy! A few more flavours of tea wouldn't go astray however considering their already broad and varied menu, I think I'll let them off this once. As we have established, the food is brilliant but so is the location- ridiculously hip and a trendy place to be seen, some would argue that this place errs a little on the pretentious side of things and yes it does walk a fine line but it does so very well! The staff leave a little to be desired- as others have mentioned that could all probably do with a happy pill or two but hey, if they bring me my food and it's that tasty, I'm going to put up with their up-side-down smile for now! I'll be back again though- that's for sure!

We are in Adelaide at the Store on Melbourne Street to see a funny man! His name is Ben Darsow (known in the East as 'he who sells out awesome fringe shows'!). Who would've known we'd be in for an hour of hilarious quips and great stories?! Such a great show. The audio in the venue was well balanced, the decor is funky and it's well within walking distance of heaps of great eateries and watering holes. I feel a little sad that i only saw one show here, I've been told that during the fringe season they've been running between 2 and 4 shows most nights, quite successfully with various comedians in tow. The Store will be running shows (presumably comedy) again in 2016 and I for one will definitely be back! Now that I've seen the upstairs, I'm also looking forward to round 2, trying the downstairs food and service!

The selection features all your standards for brekkie and lunch has a mix of wraps and rolls as well as some great specials (pulled pork buns, zucchini fritters anyone?) and over the past week since its opened I've seen the menu change and evolve. Lunching here I had a pulled pork bun with coleslaw with potato salad on the side, the pork was soft and tender and the potato salad had pickles (yay!) with yumminess all round. Pricing is quite reasonable and on the cheap side for the Goodwood area. Back then Parkside was a bit dingy, a bit boho and very multicultural - Greek and Italian families predominated. Fast forward 25 years and Parkside has now been gentrified and and is a bit yuppiefied but blessedly Duthy St deli harks back to its deli origins and not just in name only. Vasili our host, has been smoothly operating a very successful cafe here for a number of years. Good service, well trained baristas, efficient chefing on view and a consistent, reliable extremely well presented selection of breakfast and lunch cold and hot items. Shrewdly but thankfully very competitively priced in a locale that could cough up more. Always good and always fresh -congratulations on maintaining the tradition in a slice of slightly out of the way suburbia. Onto the review. As usual I was pretty indecisive and tend to go for a burger option if I can't decide, so I ordered the lamb kofta burger while my friend went for the Lebanese Mezze Breakfast. The wait wasn't too lengthy and my burger was pretty tasty. It's a different type of burger than what I'd normally have, because this one was really fresh and quite light. There was plenty of hummus along with pickled cabbage, cucumber, tomato and a bed of rocket. It stands out visually with the colours. The kofta patty was not bad but I felt it was a bit on the thin side, because there was quite alot of turkish bread that formed the buns. And yeah, as a result the whole experience was quite bready for me but thanks to the hummus and the veges the burger wasn't dry. My friend also wanted to try one of their house made tarts as well so I just had a little bit. It was a passionfruit curd one and it was decent, not too sweet and refreshing due to the passionfruit. But at $4.50 for what's essentially a mini-tart it's getting on the pricey side. I would have gone for a baklava if I was craving a sweet pastry. The interior is very clean looking and inviting, on par with alot of the nicer cafes around the city. The prices are solid ($10.50) for the lamb burger and the breakfast ($15.50). The location is one reason I'd come back- no need to drive to the city just for brunch or lunch. There's a few other things I'd like to try as well if I come back. Overall, a good find and the timing of our visit was impeccable!

The menu is well set out and easy to read, however actually picking what I wanted was the hardest decision of my life.
