He took the time to actually understand my injury, explain the recovery process, and gave me workouts and movements that helped strengthen my shoulder safely and effectively. It's been a week and my shoulder feels so good I am able to move shoulder almost at full range! I have known Ryan for almost about 20 years. The first time I had gone to Ryan I had gone to him about knee pain. I used to wear knee braces because my knees would lock and he helped me strengthen my legs so that I no longer use knee braces and after training with him I have never used knee braces again he showed me the fundamentals of working out and great form and ever since my form is great and it helped me shaped my athletic abilities. I highly recommend Ryan to anyone recovering from an injury, from shoulder to knee issue, someone looking to perform better in their athletic sports or simple as weight loss journey. For example, if I didn't get enough sleep (perimenopause is not fun!), then he will adjust my workout to focus on other things. Same If I'm sore in one part of my body, he will have exercises that helps to work through that. He has a great attitude, pushes me when I need to be pushed, and I consider him a friend as he's seen me on my good days and not so good days. I've learned a lot from him and how to generalize my skills learned from our sessions to other exercises outside of our sessions. I highly recommend trying out a session with Ryan; you won't regret it.

I originally called Kate to help me lose weight for my wedding in September but I plan to keep this going for as long as possible! I love how much stronger and stronger I feel every week. KATE is very knowledgeable about all aspects of working out, she guides you through every step and makes sure you are doing the movements correctly so you don't hurt yourself. She provides a full guide specifically tailored to your fitness needs (in my case weight loss), the program helps with what to eat, when to eat, and how much to eat, and there are also specific workouts for your level of fitness you do on your own. Out first meeting was more like a consultation where she gets a feel for what level of fitness you are at, and I was level beginner :) And from there she builds that plan for you. I work out with Kate 2 days a week tue & thurs and then 1 day by myself usually Saturday morning plus cardio every other few days. I had a gym membership in the past but I only ever did cardio at the gym so I am a beginner when it comes to working out/weightlifting. Let me give you an idea of how far I have come. When I first started with Kate, I could barely do 1 push-up on my knees and now I can do 5 solid regular push-ups. And that's huge for me. I was so out of breath after 1 burpee and it was so awkward for me, but now I can do 10 still winded but nothing like before! We have done all this from the comfort of my own home in my garage, with 2 yoga Matts and a couple of dumbbells. Call Kate, it's the best decision you can make for yourself! My fiancé is so happy with my results, everyone in my life has been complimenting me saying that I look the best I have ever looked. I have totally gained more muscle and it shows, I am thinner but more importantly more Toned and I could not have done any of this without Kate. If I can do it anyone can do it. HIRE KATE! She will not disappoint. She is an amazing personal trainer!

    I've been a member at 24 for decades and I feel financially disrespected by the decline of the…read morecompany. Yet, I spend 15 hours in Chula Vista, 5 days a week and both facilities are convenient. The way this one is declining I have to add is this one about to be closed? *Q: Why am I concerned about this gym?* A: Machines are consistently out of order, and when they are "fixed," the repairs often look like makeshift patches. For a national chain charging higher membership fees, this is unacceptable. *Q: What about cleanliness?* A: At 5:45 AM, the bathrooms are disgusting. Chunks of hair on the floor. Trash completely filled. Toilets with bio-stains, I could go on. I've seen the cleaning staff present, yet there is no sanitation or disinfectant in the bathrooms. She's disgusted and does minimum. How does this meet even the most basic hygiene standards? *Q: How does this affect members?* A: Members are paying for a facility that should already be fully equipped and maintained. Members rely on safe, functional equipment. Instead, the gym looks like a salvage yard of broken machines. *Q: How do I manage?* A: I stick to barbell training, so I don't rely much on machines, but that doesn't excuse the neglect. Many members do rely on those machines, and they deserve better. Today. We are done with the "out-of-order machines." *Q: What message does this send?* A: That local 24 hour management and corporate are fiscal predators and give us less than minimum service. Technically once you have the machines the easy part is keeping them up it's not like they have to constantly buy equipment and materials to maintain a safe gym. There's so many people who want work and they will come in and keep it clean, everywhere. Covid standard guidelines for gyms, should remain. Raising rates while ignoring basic maintenance and sanitation is an insult to members. *Q: What do I want answered?* A: Why is corporate charging more while providing less? Why is sanitation ignored? And what accountability will be put in place so this gym doesn't continue to decline? "Health is wealth."

    This is my gym now!! It is a CrossFit gym that offers membership like any other gym and offers…read moreseveral challenges. No you do not have to be a member to participate in a challenge. There are several different challenges that this gym offers. I did the "Hard Body Challenge" which is meant for individuals who are NOT interested in losing weight; This one is for individuals who want GAIN muscle weight. Another challenge which is the most popular, is the "20 Pound Weight Loss Challenge". All challengers take the same classes. I believe the difference is that in the 20 Lb Loss Challenge, challengers do more cardio as homework and the hard body challengers do more weights as homework. You can read more about each challenge on The Camp website as well or you can physically go and ask about the challenges. This gym is really well designed to keep you accountable! You have to sign up in advance for each class you take and you get charged for every class you sign up and do not attend, which is amazing motivation to get your butt to the gym! Another great motivator to COMPLETE a challenge is that you get ALL your money back if you complete it successfully! After you complete the challenge it is your choice whether you want to take your money back and never return, or put that money towards a year membership. If you are not able to complete the challenge successfully, you can still use the money you paid for the challenge towards a paid in full or month to month membership. In the challenges, you are also given a meal prepping plan which varies depending on the challenge you choose which helps a lot and you never go hungry. Why I love this gym: Environment. Playlists are fire! Positive vives only! Trainers are super supportive and encouraging. Very well ventilated and not crowded at all. Also, if you have a chance to attend a class after dark, they will give the room a night club feeling by turning off the main lights and turning on a few other party lights. Variety in workouts. You will never be bored of doing the same workouts. Mon and Thurs are upper body, Tues and Friday are lower body and Wed, Sat and Sun are full body. You have the option to come in on Sat and/or Sun but they do recommend to rest two days out of seven. Even if you do two days in a row of full body, workouts are always different. The corrections. Trainers really take the time to go around and correct your posture if you are doing it wrong to prevent injuries. You can modify each workout to your level or push yourself to lift heavier whenever you are ready For me, this way of exercising goes by super fast as opposed to a regular gym where I am in my own little world and trying to figure out what to do next What I learned: Not as hard as I thought once I got the meal prepping down. My mental/physical energy was boosted. Drinking about 1 gallon of water HELPS A LOT to reach the challenge goal (for whichever challenge you choose). I learned how to cook certain things like kale and make them taste good. In two weeks I was able two do a full push up! Not a knee push up, a full one. Obstacles: The hardest thing is definitely meal prepping. If you do not take the time once or twice a week to prepare meals, you will end up eating out and less likely to complete the challenge successfully. I would recommend trying out a class before you commit to a challenge or get the membership so you know if this type of workout is for you.
