I've been to plenty of studios and have never experienced that. Taken from Carly, Molly, Sara, Lydia... don't think there's anyone else (lol, in the times that I can go), and I truly have an effective true pilates workout. I feel worked in a balanced healthy strong way. Alignment and form is very important to me otherwise your just going through the motions and not making your body healthier. There's max 6-7 people per class and privates available throughout. I have taken private's and definitely think they are faster for growth and strength, but isn't realistic for me to do 5x a week. A mix would be perfect. They do have a private intro deal I need to try. 3 classes for $199. Most classes, are on the reformer which is my preference but once in awhile we land at the chair and wall apparatus. Nice change of pace every so often. One room for reformer, one room for wall work. They have a Cadillac for privates. Two bathrooms and just a super clean cute layout. Bravo. My secret studio that won't be so secret soon.

As a mom of three finding "me time" is a rarity, especially with a newborn, but I'm so happy that I used this time on finally trying this class! I decided to start with the Beginner's Foundation class with Sofia, and she was awesome! Sofia was upbeat, patient, and super attentive throughout. She made sure everyone in class had great form and she kept the energy high the entire time. The class was pretty challenging and worked muscles I didn't even know could be targeted. My abs, hips, lower back, and core were all on fire and sore for days(in the best way!) My partner joined me, and we both walked out of the studio smiling and sweaty, trying to plan our next Pilates session. I really liked my instructor in the first class; the energy and the way she led the group were different, combining rhythmic movement with melodic voice commands. I paid for two weeks during which I met other coaches - all of them were great! What I appreciate about this place is that there was never the same set of exercises; every day brought something new. However, I am still deciding whether to return because I also want to do yoga, and their prices are quite high. They offer payment for 10 classes, whereas many places have a price for an unlimited month instead. All in all, it's a good place to incorporate into your daily physical routine without getting overtired.

I've lost a significant amount of weight since starting Pilates here (which was not even the reason for this initially), and I feel so much stronger and better physically. But what I didn't expect was how much J8 would help me mentally too. While I've been going through an extremely rigorous program and studying nonstop, there have been so many days when I've walked into class stressed, exhausted, and mentally drained -- and somehow I always walk out feeling better. For that hour, I get to shut everything else off, focus on myself, work hard, sweat, and completely reset. It has truly been my mental escape. And then there is SAM. She is seriously something else. She is so kind, incredibly knowledgeable, encouraging, and motivating. Her intensity is AMAZING, and having her actually work out right there with us makes you want to push yourself even harder. She doesn't just tell you what to do -- she is right there doing it and absolutely killing it alongside you. We were laughing in class today about what would happen if we tried to follow Sam through an entire day of all her classes. Would we even make it to the end?! I'm pretty sure the answer is no. Sam is basically a Pilates goddess. J8 has helped change my body, but it has also been such an important part of getting me through one of the busiest and most demanding periods of my life. I'm so grateful for this place, the workouts, the energy, and especially Sam. I also have to add, that this place is super clean, smells good and that is a big thing for me. And the atmosphere is the best. You feel like part of family when you're a J8 (I've been coming since June). If you're thinking about trying J8 -- DO IT. Just be prepared to work!

I was impressed with the reformer machines and everything was always so clean. What sold me was the 60 class deal. It was much more affordable than what I was paying at the other studio. I love having the flexibility to sign up for classes when I have time. I was even able to bring my hubby with me to class (text to arrange an extra booking) Bookings done on the MINDBODY app. I believe new classes get posted every 2 weeks. If a class is full, join the waitlist! There's a high chance you'll eventually get in! My favorite instructor is Kimi- she's clear with instructions, gently corrects our posture when we're a little off and challenges us. She also offers modifications depending on our comfort level. Sarah was extremely knowledgeable, creative, and a very great educator. She was thorough in her explanations of the different moves and created modifications based on what my body was needing at the time and continued to provide modifications as my body grew stronger. Her classes flow seamlessly and progress in a way that is balanced. I always feel as though I'm getting a well rounded workout and Sarah has focused on the entire body. The studio itself is lowly lit and is great for getting focused. It's clean and the instructors are generous w the wipes. The equipment is excellent and new. They also have pull-up bars and wheels for more dynamic calisthenic exercises. I also love how their memberships include a guest so I can bring a friend or my husband once a month! Theres only 12 machines, and theres one teacher machine in the middle that's elevated so everyone can see. This studio is clean, has great equipment, and the design is so cool (cool lighting)! The toilets in the bathroom are also heated. I love Lorene (main teacher), Riss, and Rich! They are very knowledgeable! I love the energy and community here too. Thanks for kicking my butt every class :)
