But unfortunately, the experience with their policy and customer support has been frustrating enough that I'm seriously reconsidering coming back. I've been dealing with a prolonged illness, and per their own policy, clients with symptoms are not allowed to attend class (which I fully respect). But when I reached out to explain my situation, I was only given a two-week extension -- no flexibility, no empathy, just a firm deadline. When I tried to use the remaining classes before expiration, I did not show up due to a worsening cough at the day of class-- again, trying to be responsible and follow their rules. I then received a late cancel/no show warning email, which said I'd normally be charged an extra $15 fee on top of the class I already paid for, just for being too sick to attend. Although the fee was waived this time, the tone of the message and the overall approach felt more like a punishment system than a client-centered one. The policy is confusing, rigid, and completely lacking in support for people dealing with health issues. It left me feeling discouraged and unwelcome -- not something I expect from a wellness studio.

They don't have a reception area so I was a little lost walking in but I just followed what everyone else was doing. The workout itself was fine. Compared to the classes I took in the past I didn't find the instructor to be helpful. When I got home I got an email about my bill from Pilates V which was a charge for grip socks which I did not purchase. I ended up reaching out to management for a refund. There was a couple back and forth with the emails where I had to reach out for updates. It did become a bit frustrating because I didn't talk to the instructor at all but was told that the instructor said it was me that purchased. In the end I received my refund which I was thankful for however I feel like this could have been solved in a more efficient way. I ended up not using the rest of the Groupon classes but it's a loss I would rather take than take more classes.

I have never in my life seen results like I got working with her. I have worked with other Pilates instructors and never got the attention or knowledge that I get from her. She is so aware, and so good at explaining, that I just get it. Someone else posted Veronique as a "guru" and I think that word fits perfectly!

I strolled over for a reformer class today and was lucky enough to get a private class (because the studio *just* opened about a week ago and the classes have not yet filled up). I doubt one will be able to draw on that kind of luck for long. Véronique is a skillful and thoughtful instructor, and it was a pleasure having her put me through my paces on the reformer. As for the studio (a sunny corner one block of Haight street that has been home to an Auntie Pasta [remember that place??], a web design firm, and most recently, an architectural office) it's been beautifully renovated. It's bright, clean, well organized, and all the equipment is brand-spanking new. Soulful Pilates gest 4 stars for awesomeness, and a one-star bonus for being so close to my house.

All I can say is it was totally worth the wait! As a mom of three finding "me time" is a rarity, especially with a newborn, but I'm so happy that I used this time on finally trying this class! I decided to start with the Beginner's Foundation class with Sofia, and she was awesome! Sofia was upbeat, patient, and super attentive throughout. She made sure everyone in class had great form and she kept the energy high the entire time. The class was pretty challenging and worked muscles I didn't even know could be targeted. My abs, hips, lower back, and core were all on fire and sore for days(in the best way!) My partner joined me, and we both walked out of the studio smiling and sweaty, trying to plan our next Pilates session. The vibe was perfect for beginners as it was welcoming, supportive, and overall motivating. Can't wait to return to WestCore. We are officially hooked!

**REVIEW FOR MILLBRAE LOCATION AS THEIR MILLBRAE LOCATION ISNT ON YELP YET**…read more I took my first class with Mona yesterday, and it was very challenging. I am still a beginner in lagree, and have taken a few classes already, but Mona recommended strongly that I should have taken a foundations class first. I understand that each lagree studio works differently and has different techniques, but she might have been right. However, Mona was really supportive of me, fixing my form throughout class and I really appreciated that! The reformers here could tilt up/lay flat, and it def seem bigger than most reformers I've tried. They have so many big dyson fans around the studio! A suggestion that I would make would be having small amenties in the restroom; hair ties, spray deodorant would be a great touch. If you forget to bring grippy socks, it will be $15 and they have it right in front of the studio.
