I hav been coming here for years. I come here for what I want (gel OPI and nail supplies) and I get it at an amazing price!! One star knocked off because of customer service. It could be the difference in cultures (I'm Hispanic) and I totally understand that. I just think a little more effort should be put into making this a happier place all around, with the staff as a whole. I got a duo of gel OPI (for my nails) and regular OPI (for toes) for $18. Nail files for 75 cents. A pusher for $5. Cuticle nippers for $8. Essie for $4. Buying a gel OPI bottle alone is $13.50 and a regular OPI bottle alone is $6.50. If you buy the pair, it comes out to $18 flat. Rather than $20. Best prices I've ever been able to find! I'd recommend making a stop here for all your nail needs! read more

Ayer fui super emocionada con una amiga mía que es manicurista, ella iba a comprar algunas cosas que necesitaba y yo iba hacer un presupuesto para comprar algunas cosas en un futuro. Llegamos y empiezo a ver las cosas que voy a querer cuando vuelva con el dinero de mi presupuesto. saco mi lista y empiezo anotar cuanto me saldrá para al final calcular, de repente siento una presencia detrás de mi y está este señor ( espero que no sea el dueño porque deja mucho que decir ) me volteo todavía asimilando porque el estaba tan cerca de mi sin decirme nada y me dice " que tú haces" y yo le digo súper amigable que estoy sacando un presupuesto para saber cuanto voy a gastar cuando vuelva a comprar mis cositas y que quiero saber cuánto voy a gastar para ahorrar el dinero, este señor lo único me dice de forma grosera que no puedo hacer eso, que no se puede tirar fotos, ni videos, ni escribir nada ni en el celular (yo ni el celular estaba usando, sino mi libreta donde anotó que materiales gastos y cuánto me salen) a lo que yo le respondo "entonces como voy a saber cuánto voy a gastar? " y su única respuesta fue " cuando tú compres sabrás" se volteo y se fue a terminar de cobrarle a las demás clientas. Mi amiga al ver eso decidió dejar sus cosas y salimos a afuera un momento del local, al final le dije que comprara sus cosas porque todo el mundo dice que ese supply tiene buenos precios y que aprovechara y comprara sus cositas. Entramos y empecé a mirar por la tienda como sea intentando memorizarme los precios para hacer mi presupuesto en mi mente y después anotarlo pero este señor no dejaba de mirarme a ver qué hacía, intentaba ignorarlo hasta que me topé con otro señor que estaba sentado en la parte de atrás y le pregunte si me podía ayudar con mi presupuesto, súper súper amable este señor me dijo que le explicara y me dijo "búscame la lista y lo hacemos " me arrepiento no haberlo visto desde la primera vez que entre, empezó ayudarme pero obvio ya no quería escribir los precios uno por uno por el otro señor de la caja para no causar otro escándalo y tampoco buscarle problemas al señor que me estaba ayudando. Me dijo todo lo que tenía que saber pero mientras el me ayudaba el otro señor se paraba en los pasillos a vernos o mejor dicho "vigilarme o vigilarnos" me hizo sentir súper incomoda o como que le quería robar el negocio o algo no se pero fue tanto que hasta el señor que me estaba ayudando le dijo algo en mandarín y ahí fue que dejo de vernos. En conclusión: Si tienes que hacer un presupuesto o preguntar no vayan a este negocio, puede que tengan buenos precios ( en realidad en algunas cosas si y otras cosas lo ponen más caros que en los otros supply ) pero tienen que aprender a ser más profesionales a cómo se manejan con los clientes. Después de ese supply fui a otro que me recomendaron que se llama Lo Spazio beauty supply!!!! Tienen los mismos precios o hasta más baratos que Hollywood supply y los empleados son más serviciales, me ayudaron con todo lo que tenía en mi lista,me ayudaron a sacar mi presupuesto que conste que en el momento que llegue el local se llenó de clientes y como quiera me iban respondiendo los precios y teniendo paciencia conmigo y con todo el mundo. la mercancía se ve de buena calidad y los productos se ven originales, tienen el sistema de apres y iluminary originales y mismos precios de la página de esas marcas, hasta hay muchas cosas hasta más baratas que Hollywood supply pero lo que me gano fue la atención y paciencia de los chicos de ese negocio que lamentablemente a Hollywood supply le falta ese toque. After I got my mani/pedi done and I was going to travel, I wanted to make sure I had the color nail polish on hand for any potential chips (it happens!) My friend recommended this place and wow my life changed. Seriously. Store is located in a strip mall right off 84th ave and Bird Road. Store is pretty bare bones but super organized. Walk in and immediately the four towers of essie nail polish face you. They have pretty much every color. I dont speak "nail polish" but when I showed my friends in nyc the photos I took of the racks, the were enthusiastic they could spot the current winter collection, etc. [It must be a good selection!] I was just happy they had the color I needed (Wicked) and the color my friend requested (Mint candy apple.) I had a tough time finding that last color (again...I dont speak Essie) but i asked the salesperson for the color by name and he immediately knew which one it was. Thanks! At the cash wrap, they also included a bottle of hand lotion. Very sephora of them! Again- Thanks! You really won't find better prices than this for Essie. Essie polish for $3.75... yes please!! they don't have every single color in the Essie lineup, but they have all the super popular colors and the collections from the last couple years. of all the wholesalers in the area that sell to the public, they are always the cheapest. also, if you want to buy a bunch of bottles in the same color for gifts or something -- this is your place. they also sell OPI, China glaze, some other brands, and all the other supplies used by nail salons. I buy my yellow foam buffers here 3 for $1. best price in town. customer service -- I have never had a problem. the guys that work there don't wear nail polish, but they know the products. they have always been friendly with me and some of them are downright chatty. if you love nail polish this store is NOT to be missed. read more

Like everyone else said, this is nail polish heaven! I am obsessed with nail polish and end up buying a different color about once every week. I heard by word of mouth about this place and their insanely low prices. Finally got to visit this store today (open on Sunday's) after wanting to for a couple months. It was a little difficult to find through the plaza for the first time since I didn't see any giant sign or anything on the plaza wall, but then I saw it... My first impression upon entering was ??? am I in the right place? cause all I saw was a nail salon kind of looking place, but then I look to my right and see a bajillion women there for pretty much the same purpose I was.... shopping for nail polish and other related supplies. I bought my Essie nail polish for $3.25 a bottle. They did have a good selection of OPI, Orly, and other assorted brands. They have pedi-scrub, cuticle oil, fake nails, nail gems and other decal-style things. Like another yelper said, don't expect them to have every single color of each brand. The 3 bottles of Essie nail polish that I bought came to ~$10. That's definitely a steal. I am in love with this place, definitely will come back for more nail polish :) read more

Since my new nail person has a horrible assortment of colors, I decided that I needed a few colors to keep at home, so that I could take with me to the salon as backup. Thanks to yelp, I found this awesome retail shop that sells quality nail polish at a discount. Stopped in earlier today and was very happy with the selection available. While the service at the store is nothing to rave about, it doesn't bother me much because the savings makes up for it... Where else can you buy 4 Essie bottles of polish for $14?? And, for those of you living on or near south beach, make sure you contact them because they will soon be opening another location there soon. read more

I'm kind of disappointed to be honest that they didn't stock higher quality nail polish than O.P.I. :( Brightly lit, squeaky clean tiled floors. Very sterile feeling... in a good way. It's somewhat well organized in the aisles. Best to have some patience if looking for something specific. Essie is $3.25 a bottle (which in my opinion is a waste of money, I hate that brand! STREAKY GARBAGE haha!) and OPI is $4.25. Great place to go to stock up on nail polish and to get enough supplies to not have to pay ridiculous drug store prices for basics. read more

I've been coming here for years, and while I must say I love this place, my last couple of visits weren't like before. This place if a gold mine for any lacquer addict! You could literally spend hours browsing and comparing all the different shades. While they do offer many, inexpensive nail polishes, they are best known for their Essie and OPI collection. Being a fashionista on a budget, spending $8 on a bottle of polish is absurd to me. They sell Essie for $3.25 and OPI for $4.25. While I love this place, my last couple of trips were rather disappointing. Their selection of colors isn't as varied as it once was. The last time I went, beginning of February, it literally looked like a war had occurred in there. Some of the shelves were empty! This is a place that is usually overflowing with colors; to the point where there are boxes with even more colors. Empty shelves and limited color selections were not in my expectation of this place. They didn't have any of the new OPI or Essie collections in (Katy Perry, Texas, Serena, French Affair). I was extremely disappointed in the lack of choices. This place is nail polish heaven, for the most part, on a budget. Don't try asking any of the employees for help with a color because you won't get any. They also have all sorts of manicure and pedicure supplies. Don't bother paying over $8.00 for a bottle ever again! read more

I've been going to Florida Hollywood Nails. It's always been my go-to spot for satisfying my nail polish obsession! No, I'm not a manicurist, but yes, nail polish is my guilty pleasure. I love having just the right color for my mood during my weekly manicures, and not all nail techs carry all the colors I love. This place used to carry ALL the Essie colors- the latest seasonal collections and the classics! But lately, it seems they have just a slim selection. I'll give them credit for having a steady supply of the last few season's collections, but they really need to keep the classics in stock too! I heard such wonderful things about this nail supply store. I was a bit disappointed for a few reasons... I didn't expect it to be anything glamorous (as it wasn't). They had a good selection of Essie and OPI and some other products I purchased. I was disappointed when I went to pay for the items and the guy up charged me like .50cents more per bottle of polish. I'm unsure if it was because I didn't speak Spanish and looked like I wasn't familiar with the area. I asked the guy why he was charging more than what was posted and he simply said, " all bottle prices are now higher". Yea? Love Love Love this place!! I can get pretty much everything the nail salons use and the price is just right. I mean, ~$4 for an Essie nail polish??? How can I say no?!?! And it's perfectly situated next to my favorite dim sum place. Whenever I'm in town visiting family, my mom, SIL, and I would stop by after lunch and go crazy. this is a girlie girls heaven! although i get manicures every 10 days (yes my lady is that awesome, that it lasts that long) its nice to have some polishes at home for touch ups or a quick switch of polish for a total mood change. i have attempted to go several times but never make it on time since their hours are 10-6 and they are closed saturdays. yes closed on saturdays i thought that was weird until i heard the explanation. most salons are busiest on saturdays so no one is out buying supplies that day, whereas sundays and mondays when some salons are closed are this stores busiest days. they have everything you can imagine from giant massage pedicure chairs to opi and essie polishes. the staff wasnt super helpful at all, actually borderline rude, probably bc they knew i wasnt going to be a big spender (which is coincidentally the name of one of the colors i bought). they have a great selection but warning they do not have every single color so dont be disappointed if you cant find sahara in the snow, im just saying. i spent about 11 bucks and got 3 new colors which will be my staples for the year.. cannot wait to go visit zuly (thats my nail lady) with one of my new fabulous colors. read more

Hollywood Nail Supply carries Essie, OPI, Orly, China Glaze, OPI gel, other brands, and a wide variety of nail care supplies, including top coats and pumices. I was charged $4 per bottle for Essie and $4.50 per bottle for OPI-- still a deal, but not what others here have paid. Another customer asked about the price increase, and the kid working that morning said they had a problem with the nail polish companies. I also picked up a bottle of Seche Vite for $5. I didn't see customers being treated poorly, but I did notice that one employee who arrived late to work was treated very badly, threatened that he might be fired and that he wouldn't receive full pay for the day. Like others have said, they don't have every color from every collection. For all of these reasons, next time I need a polish fix, I'll take my business to Lucky. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! I had asked the sales associate for advice on removing gel nail polish. He advised me to buy Fl. Hollywood nail supply Acetone and leave it on for 15 minutes. The product burned my nail bed and I had to go to urgent care. I incurred a $70 copay plus the $4 for the product. I went back to get my money for the copay and the defective product but they refused to give anything for compensatory damages. I told them to take the product off the shelves because it could cause injury. They told me I used the product incorrectly and refused to give me the owner's name. I will be taking them to court because the product has no warning label for use and they should pay for the liability incurred ... read more

I went the other day and I did not need a license so I am unsure what that other poster is talking about. Either way I've been going to this store for a little over 3yrs and they always have had a good selection. New season colors and I recently picked up Essie's new "Lux Effects" line there. The staff changes every so often, and I have had my share of vulgar employees talk amongst themselves but I am there to shop and really can care less how they conduct themselves amongst them. I recommend this store, prices are Opi $4.50 and Essie $3.50. They have other lines as well and specials 2/$5 etc. Credit card charges need to be over $10.00 mind you. Happy Shopping read more
