    My baby boy Bug
    Cheryl B.

I took my 3 1/2 years old companion frenchie, Bug. At the end of February for some stomach issues. I took him there because I had used them before for yearly shots, and too spay and neuter a couple stray kitties. So I go there thinking it's some sort of tummy bug, since it would come and go. So they take him from me, a the vet comes out and tells me that his kidneys were shutting down, so he needed to be euthanized!!! I immediately became frantic and called family members, and asked for my puppy back. Bug was my life, I'm 56 and disabled. Then a woman comes in and shows me the bill!!! And it was for $1000!!! I couldn't think or see straight. It was ridiculous. Needless to say, they showed absolutely no compassion and then 4 days late I was rushed to the hospital with triple pneumonia, and severe sepsis. Once I was home and healing I was remembering things and little clearer. So the morning of that day Bug urinated just fine. What else came to mind was that he didn't have a IV so they could give him fluids since he was obviously dehydrated. So they charged me $1000 for a little blood work and to kill my dog. Since there was no attempt to get his kidneys working. My son and a few others were livid because my Bug could have possibly been saved.

Skateboard dog on their front sign. Also, apparently they change it's look seasonally? Here he's pictured in full OSU regalia... Classic.

They were able to do everything requested - wash, dry, ear clean, nail trim and anal glands. I came back to a happy, non stressed dog! To give some context- - my dog hates nail trims where he yelps before you even start. They were able to do all nails - he doesn't mind ears touched but forget about cleaning - usually need 3 people to hold him for anal gland expressions- groomer (Jordan) said he didn't even make a peep Also they don't use muzzles! I love that especially bc my dog isn't trained for muzzles and I wouldn't want him in one just for grooming. Best way to get ahold of them is text message imo. They're a small business- support them!

Thankfully, my boyfriend recommended I go see Miss Sara. I don't like car rides and I ain't too keen on meeting new folks. My mommy was thinking I was gonna wild out. But Miss Sara and Miss Jordan are such good cuddlers and soothed me so well, I was super good and not nervous at all! I had some mats in my bum, an overgrown nail or three, and a lot of hair in my ears. Miss Sara was on it and told my mommy I may need an antibiotic. She really looked after me. I'm tired but I love how really soft and fluffy I am!! If you want more than a "groomer", then you have to ask your humans to take you All About the Dogs! It's the best place ever!! Ellie has been with The City Dog since 2018 and we're glad the space still feels familiar for her. There are some different faces around but we have experienced that over the years and love that Ellie still feels at home. We boarded her for 6 days and 5 nights in June (for Vaca) and were really happy with the care she received. Prices on boarding have gone up a lot for a dog suite, but they honored our previously booked rate which we appreciated. We also did a recent daycare visit on July 3 and still have several days left in our old package that we can use this year before making any real changes. The only downside is the change from member packages to a new (for us) monthly subscription model. It's not really that appealing or attractive to us. The subscription based model takes away the flexibility we enjoyed as longtime customer. So we never felt like we were losing money for services we didn't use. Overall, space is great, now larger, with the building combined and noting we are a couple months in on the merger. We will see how things go over the next few months, but for now we feel good about the transition and would recommend Park Your Paws Columbus-Downtown, especially for boarding and daycare. Best dog training, boarding and daycare in Columbus!…read more First impressions are everything, and when stepping into All-Purpose K9 facility you don't hear dogs barking - all is calm. I've never experienced this at another dog daycare before! I was elated that all dogs were not crammed together and had space, along with the trainers being close by. My German Shepherd Husky mixes have loved learning all that Paige and team have put in front (more like to the side ) of them. Their controlled walking has been a night and day difference, especially when there are other distractions around. We've continued to work on everything that we have learned; heel, sit, place, and come. The individual one on one training sessions after boarding for 3 weeks has been amazing, as it has been a good transition to work on things at home. Reach out to Paige and All Purpose K9 today!!
