I saw a shirt that I liked, but the lady behind the counter suggested I check out their gift shop located inside their Heal the Bay Aquarium as they have other shirt selections. I took the lady's recommendation. Upon arrival at their main gift shop, they did not carry the shirt I wanted. Btw, it's a very small aquarium and gift shop. We headed back to the standalone gift shop location and they were closed. OMG... I was so bummed! I guess both gift shops have different operating hours. They told me sorry we charged you already and won't refund you it's their policy to never return money after it's charged and in their contract. So I said that it was bad form for them to keep the ridiculous $250 money knowing they just charged me and they knew I wouldn't be coming. They said if I do that for you I would have to for everyone. Outrageous! Also be careful to read their very fine printed 28 page contract with a thousand rules, that are over the top. very aggressive teachers and very strict nonsensical ruled contract. First of all it should be case by case. Second off all they being a new small business should know retaining and being fair to clients keeps a business going. Acting like this and being rude on the phone or being greedy about their needing to keep money is very bad model. Never in my life have I ever had this happen with any company large or small. They always return the money they they charge while it's still pending. Say "thanks for your business and we hope you return soon." I told her I had brought her a few clients even to her business and being a loyal customer should have been enough to act smart about her business. I mean she is a very young owner and needs to learn the world; she's only 25 I think, but she should know better. I told her I would let people know her business model, and then she said that was a threat. People need to know the truth! So here I am telling you don't waste your money there are better places to go.
