I brought my child to their La Brea location for a trial (they call it LA Gymnastics). Since then I have experienced the most relentless marketing campaign by Beverly Hills Gymnastics. At one point they had an AI call my phone and ask for my child by name (a minor). Incredibly creepy! I called them to demand the removal of my contact information. They promised to do so yet I keep getting emails and texts from different numbers. I've never seen a company so desperate for business. Buyer beware. read more

Deandre Franklin deleted her Venmo account, so she is obviously going out of her way to not refund me for cancelling the private lesson. She owes me $180 and is not paying me back. BH Gymnastics is saying it is not their problem even though the referral was from their company and she was working for them when I received the referral. This is no way to run a business. They did not even offer a private lesson for my girls to make up for the one their employee cancelled and did not refund us for. I wouldn't risk signing up at their gym. There are other gymnastics centers that are more trustworthy and will provide make ups if their instructors cancel a $180 private lesson on you. read more

I'm extremely frustrated by the lack of communication and coordination from the administrative staff at Beverly Hills Gymnastics. I have received repeated calls about the same issue from different people, while also being given contradictory information depending on who calls. I emailed the staff to explain my concerns and specifically asked whether I could work with one point person, since it appeared that the staff members handling scheduling and follow-up were not communicating with each other. Unfortunately, that request was not addressed. I have spoken with the person who schedules appointments three separate times, but my concerns still seem to be ignored. For a family trying to arrange a reliable schedule for a nonverbal toddler--especially while coordinating work obligations--clear, consistent communication is essential. Based on my experience, this has not been the place to go if you need a concrete schedule and dependable administrative support. I hope management addresses the internal communication issues, because families should not have to repeatedly explain the same situation or navigate conflicting information just to schedule services. read more

This place is an absolute FRAUD. The woman who runs it is consistently at odds with all the parents and most of the coaches because she runs such a bad business. They don't communicate at all and make everything so difficult. She consistently over charges all the credit cards on file and never refunds the overages. Unfortunately I am yet another victim of this establishment's lack of ethics. I never write bad reviews but hopefully this will be helpful to future parents... My girls love gymnastics and I enrolled them in class here. They were actually in the same class that the reviewer Nick O. discussed and I can confirm they often crowd 12-14 girls in a single class with 1 instructor (there's always some excuse, like teacher absence, lots of makeup students...) so most of the time the class is basically the teacher trying to wrestle lots of girls into a line - it's glorified daycare. Because of the overcrowdedness, I asked if I could unenroll them from group classes and instead enroll them in private classes. They said they would and that they would refund me for the unused group classes. I proceeded to enroll them in a private class. The refund for the group class NEVER came. I was never able to talk to anyone about it - the front desk always says no one is available to talk. One of their coaches privately, apologetically shared - I was never going to get my refund from this place. I was so disgusted with this academy's behavior from the management to the coaches covering up for them, that I did not even finish out my private class series. To me it was not even about the money, it was about ethics and respect for parents. I have since found a better gymnastics school that is up to my standards. read more

This is the closest gymnastics studio, I took my five-year-old to get evaluated. She was thrown into a group of 14 girls with one instructor. Most of the class they were sitting in a single file row, there was no supervision when they were climbing the ladder. It's just sad that this is the only option around and they want to charge $60 a class for.... I wish Broadway gymnastics was closer to us because that class is 10 times better. read more

According to the girl I nanny, her friends were raving about this place. I brought her in for a placement test and she was so excited afterwards. She said she learned more in the free test than she had all year at another gymnastics school (further away from where they live). Signup was super easy, staff and the coach were top notch. They worked on body position and flexibility all in 15 minutes. Overall, it seems like a really good & classic gym. Love that it is so close to the house and conveniently it's also next door to Starbucks! Big win all around. It is everything that they advertise and more. Greetings, nerds! I'm here to tell ya'll about Adult Gymnastics. My friend and I decided we wanted to try out different hobbies all summer and we kicked things off by trying out gymnastics. Neither of us have taken a single class in our lives, but we have backgrounds in dance and are generally athletic. The class is advertised as beginner friendly and open to all levels. I feel compelled to warn you that it isn't so much "beginner friendly" as it is "beginner... cordial?" I couldn't tell you the instructor's name because he never introduced himself. He seems very knowledgeable and experienced, but there wasn't really a lot of formal instruction. I expected some fundamentals to be broken down, but this wasn't initially done. The warm up immediately kicked off with instruction to do handstands (lol). Yo girl has no understanding of the proper form for this or anything! After one pass of "hand stands," it was on to handstands into a turn and tuck - or something. Then the next pass was a walking handstand. The movements just got progressively more difficult. At one point, I nearly panicked and just sat out for the whole class. Fortunately, the instructor noticed I was opting out of everything and he came over and broke down a cartwheel for me. Every now and then, when he saw my look of confusion, he would offer me some tips. But overall, there wasn't a lot of true breakdowns of moves or anything like that. I will say that the casual and informal nature of the class had some advantages. The people in the class were so kind, supportive, and encouraging. Many of them offered me tips and advice to help me with different tricks. They helped encourage me to try things I was nervous to do. Eventually, I got comfortable running at a springboard and flipping onto mats. Again, the instructor would offer me some pointers and tell me what I could do better. Overall, I had a lot of fun and enjoyed myself. It feels like a judgment-free zone. At the end of class, I tried another new trick (some sort of assisted backflip). I really had no idea what I was doing and injured my toe pretty bad. It's just another reason that having a *little* more instruction for the novices would be beneficial. Ultimately, I felt like the more seasoned students were given more attention than the newbies - which is fine. Just letting yall know what to expect! My friend was randomly quite good at everything and didn't struggle as much as I did lol. By all means, if you are a newbie... give it a go. It's worth a try! I have never written a review of any establishment before but felt I had to for this one to warn parents out there before sending their kids to Beverly Hills Gymnastics. Unfortunately, on August 8, 2024, my daughter who is 5 years old has suffered a severe injury while attending summer camp at this facility. She sustained a fractured fibula that resulted 6 weeks in a cast and possible rehab/therapy. I'm posting her xray here for reference. The severity of her injury is alarming, and what's even more troubling is the lack of clarity about whether she was being properly supervised at the time which raises serious questions about the level of care and attention provided by the staff. It's hard to understand how such a serious accident could happen if proper safety measures were in place. Following the incident, I immediately requested an incident report and asked for access to the CCTV footage to understand how this happened. However, despite multiple follow-ups, I still haven't received either the report or the footage. All I received were automated email responses, with no real person reaching out to address the situation. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable, especially when it comes to the safety and well-being of children. I want all parents to be aware and cautious. I would not recommend this center for children, as they clearly do not prioritize safety or accountability. Proper supervision and prompt, transparent communication should be the bare minimum, and unfortunately, that wasn't our experience here. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is low class. The staff in the front is terrible. They double charged us three times and promised a refund three times. We had to do dispute with the bank twice. Another friend of our cancelled on several occasions to try another sport. Once you tell them you are cancelling they will bill you early (same day) for the next session and try to convince you to give it one more go. Last week we saw another parent furious because she said she cancelled and they charged her. This is the tactic of the facility. Three coaches left because they were owed back pay and filed small claims cases in Santa Monica. Coaches are told to tell you your kid is ready to jump up to intermediate or advance, in order to plug your child in for another half hour to hour session so they can ask you for the balance ($$) the next time you show up. This place is sleezy with a bunch of unqualified staff with very little experience. If you want sub par training , extremely overpriced sessions, and extremely low class behavior, this place is for you. The teacher didn't speak English which was difficult because they didn't understand her. They charged me for so many useless things and when I asked for a refund they made me fill out a form and never contacted me. I called more than 5 times and no one returned my call. Hi everyone heads up to go somewhere else if you are a beginner and wanting to try adult gymnastics. It didn't match my expectations at all. The male teacher started telling us what moves to do across the floor, without demonstrating them himself. For example a handstand or a cartwheel. As a beginner I want to learn these things, but without any instructions on hand placement, what to think about, what muscles to use, how will I learn at all! I could've just gone to the gym myself and tried to do these things over and over. There was also no individual spotting or attention. By the middle of the class he was saying words as "do a handstand then *insert other gymnastic word* and then *other gymnastic word* and so on. He didn't show the moves, he didn't say anything about techniques and I ended up just sitting and watching for a large part of the class. I should have done more research before going ! Horrible place. Nobody knows what they're doing there. My daughter was supposed to be in a specific private group and they messed up and put her in a different group on a different day. I went in to talk to them and was shocked by what I saw. SEVERAL classes running at the same time in this TINY space, kids not properly being looked after, not enough coaches... In the end, they wouldn't switch my daughter into the correct class so they told me to fill out a form, email them and that I'd get a refund. I did this 3 times and called several more times.
