The customer service was the only good thing about this place. The fries were still cold and the wings were okay...

The front staff was wonderful super nice and helpful & the food was delicious. However the inside of the restaurant was dead 2 machines actually worked and the bathrooms smelt like complete and utter sh*t. The floor was so sticky my feet were practically stuck to the floor to include all of the dust from the ceiling and the pure grime all over. I would absolutely love this place if they had the machines on & the bathroom clean. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH how delicious the chicken wings and sauce were , if it werent for the pure filth i would come back here constantly. read more

These were honestly the absolute worst wings I have ever had. I got 3 different sauces and none were worth mentioning. I actually had to come home and cook them longer. The fries were undercooked as well. The only reason I even gave a 1Star was due to the staff member who rang me up. She had great customer service. Will never eat from there again. read more

Flippin' Wings is located in Clayton off of US 70. They're more of a take out place but they do have tables inside! I'd definitely recommend ordering ahead as it takes about 25-30 minutes to get your food. We've been a few times and I'm a big fan. They have a standard sauce menu but also have rotating limited edition sauces. During my most recent visit, I got the following sauce flavors: Fire, Blueberry Habanero, Hot Curry, and Garlic Parm. Honestly, I loved all 4! Fire wasn't as spicy as I thought it'd be but had good flavor! Blueberry habanero wasn't too sweet and had a nice kick to it. Hot curry is a dry rub and while I'm not a huge fan of dry rub, I'd definitely get this one again! Garlic Parm? I mean it's got garlic and cheese so... how could it not be tasty? p.s. We ordered 100 wings for our office party and with very little notice. They accepted a call in order and had the wings ready for pick up in 30 minutes. When I picked them up it was just one young lady working the counter and the kitchen. She was super polite and welcoming. The wings were packaged with care for easy travel. And the best part is everyone at the office wanted to know where we got the wings. They were delicious and disappeared in a hurry. I highly recommend this mom and pop local business. read more

ORDER AHEAD! This was the first time I've gone in and ordered and boy was service slow! The garlic parmesan sauce was still absolutely delicious though. There is something weird about their fries. They are oddly sweet almost like they mix sugar in with the salt. Overall, food still good. Service is slow if you order once you get there though. read more

After seeing the signs up for months, we were excited to try out the wings. We tried to call and place an order for pickup. The phone would ring and ring, eventually going to a generic voicemail box. We were able to get through to place our take out order. The girl said it would be 15-20 minutes until the order was ready. We arrived about 10 minutes later and my husband went in to pay. We asked to switch out a can Diet Pepsi for a can of Sunkist. Simple request but she couldn't figure how to do it...After an additional 20 minutes of waiting our food was ready. After we had paid, the employee said we could after the order was ready. . We had paid less than a minute prior to. As far as the food...the wings were the worst wings we have EVER had! EVER! Soggy, greasy, fatty and overly sauced. We ordered the garlic Parmesan, mild, and bbq. They were all disgustingly soggy and fatty. They all should have been so fresh, we literally sat and watched them cook and box the wings! The garlic Parmesan wings are shown! The sauce tasted like they combined mayonnaise and garlic. The fresh Parmesan was shredded Parmesan that wouldn't even melt. Overall, worst wings I've ever had!! We definitely could not eat them!!! Wings are just average at best nothing special. My wife ordered the lemon pepper wings and I ordered some kind of sweet hoot something wings, my wife said that my wings taste better and has more lemon pepper seasoning on both sides of the wings. I bring it up the manager through email and she tells me she doesn't know how that is possible seeing that all her cooks wear gloves. So. False advertisement on the webpage. It showed 30 wings for $30 which is pretty average but when I picked up my order 30 minutes later they were $41! I spent $50 for 30 wings and a large order of fries. The food was very good but at that cost I can go to a nice sit down restaurant. No one pays that much per wing in North Carolina. At least update your website so people are prepared to be robbed when they get there. read more

Would give a zero. Was really looking forward to them being delicious especially because I love wings. But 1st impressions go a long way; we got the hottest wings they had and the Hawaiian wings. Wait time was ridiculous 30+ mins, wings were a great size BUT they had no flavor and needed to be cooked longer. No seasoning in the sauce or on the chicken. I became really skeptical when I tried to feed them to my dogs and they wouldn't eat them. Sad to say will not be returning. read more

So I've tried this place twice. So far both times food has been on point. Wings are cooked perfectly, sauces are very favorable and fries are wonderful. My only knock is the service which is correctable. The young lady is too busy on her phone and doesn't show much of a pleasant personality. I assume she also answers the business phone, which took me three attempts to get through. When I came to pick a big order the second time I ate here, I was told 30 minutes. I showed up 35 minutes after phone call and had to wait another 10 minutes. My man(cook) needs some help in the kitchen to turn food out faster or at least on time. They have been open a little less than a month, so I don't expect perfection at all in the entire experience. The inside of the place is very boring. 2 giant picnic tables. If you're eating inside this would be a mess. Perhaps it's just for decoration? The 2 people that took my order were great. They were very nice and knew the answers to my questions. Ordering was simple. It was also really nice that they didn't hide the kitchen area. It was wide open and you could watch the whole process. The food is ready and i took my order home to eat. The fries are the best I've had since five guys. They are fresh cut seasoned to perfection and served piping hot. The chicken wings were large and meaty. My only issue is that the skin was not crispy at all. Maybe that's my preference and some people don't like crispy skin? They were kind of fatty and not fried enough. The sauce I put on them was their hot sauce which is supposed to be a buffalo style sauce. It actually tasted excellent when I could taste it. The sauce was put on super lightly and hardly any of it there. The next time I go I'm going to try to ask them to cook the wings longer and put the sauce on the side. I usually don't leave reviews and after seeing a few from here, at first I was skeptical to try them out. After a few minutes of looking at photos on their Facebook page I decided to give them a chance anyway despite the reviews I've seen. I must say I'm glad I did try them because the food I had was delicious. Got a 20 Piece Wing w/ Fries. My wing flavors were "Honey buffalo, Lemon Pepper, and Parmesan Garlic. The Lemon Pepper was by far my favorite and I really loved the Parmesan Garlic, all though all 3 to me where good. Now I must say the wings weren't crispy but they reminded me more of a broiled or grilled type wing but I'm sure they will make them crispy if you just ask. The French Fries I ordered are some of the best fries I've ever had, they're unique and different as far as flavor, it's not your average French Fry. Now to the reviews I've seen you gotta remember they are a new location and I'm pretty sure they're still trying to figure a few things out but once they maintain consistency I can honestly see them contending with Buffalo Wild Wings and WingStop. Also I forgot to mention that I ordered through Grubhub, it was so good that I'm actually gonna make a in store visit today to get some more wings. The sky is the limit for them, just imagine if they incorporate a day out the week to do half off on wings and chicken tenders. I'm rooting for this location !!! read more

Made a visit today to try then out! I ordered Lemmon pepper and got bland wings. No flavor at all. The wings were not very crispy. The hot is not hot. Best part about the visit were the fries. I will say the front of house is a bit chaotic (they really need to start taking names for orders and distinguish between to-go/eat-in) and so far every time I've been the wait has been much longer than I was initially told, but the wings are good! I was so excited to try this place, and I was extremely disappointed. The fries were disgusting and so were the wings. They weren't crispy and saturated in their sauce.
