We ordered a 12 inch ham &cheese with a side of medium size crinkle cut fries(my fave), 5 boneless buffalo wings with ranch and a gyro. The employees were very friendly and they started making our food right away.! Everything was very delicious, my only slight complaint was that there was barely any cheese on the ham and cheese, but i would still order again in hopes that this was a one off. It wasn't...bad, but it definitely wasn't great, especially for the price. I just think a 12" cheesesteak priced at $13+ oughta be a knockout, and it just wasn't. It was more comparable to the Subway version, which is about $5 cheaper. That being said, the place was clean, the staff were friendly, and the food came out hot. After a while I wondered where my order was, so it turns out the person at Grubhub who took the order entered the delivery address the same as the restaurant's address. So evidently, the driver went to Famous Philly's, picked up my order, and then immediately left it there and texted that it had been delivered. Why am I leaving a one-star review for Famous Philly's? Because they are responsible for who they choose to do business with. They think they can just brush this off as being Grubhub's issue, but it is actually Famous Philly's problems because they CHOSE to do business with an incompetent company. I ordered from this restaurant via DoorDash 12/2. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak, kid chicken tenders, & a hotdog meal. Huge mistake. The ENTIRE order looked as though it had been hanging out in the back alleyway for days. The worst dining experience ever! My daughter got food poisoning from the hotdog. After dinner, she and my son got bathed and ready for bed. After falling asleep every 30 mins or so she'd awake, crying, holding her belly. After about 2 hours of this, I find her laying in her bed crying, covered in hotdog throw up!!! She threw up so much, nothing was left to throw up! Just bile! Famous for horrible food! Dont always take the reviews for granted. First their sweet tea is on point. Second I had their philly without mayo and it was absolutely delicious, so much so I ordered a second one to go. My mother enjoyed their chicken philly as well. Only thing is the heavy hand with the pepper otherwise take the chance. Pretty tasty philly. Got the works, which was with mushrooms, onions, peppers, and cheese, of course. It was fast, and the people were super nice. There is nothing to indicate that you have called their store if no one answers the phone it's simply goes to a voicemail number. They need to correct that. read more

Well with that name you'd think you're going to be able to get a great cheese steak. And then you look at the price of them and REALLY think you're going to get a great phillycheese. I've been there 3 times my three sandwiches were DRY and not much cheese and the meat didn't cover the whole roll. My wife liked her 1st cheese steak sub but the last 2 times hers were like my sandwich's. Dry bread dry meat and not much cheese. 3 strike and your at. It's definitely not you'd get in Philadelphia for sure but they'll charge you like you buying there. Looks like a strike out unless I start hearing better reviews and lower prices. read more

Tried it for the first time today for lunch. Had "The Works" cheesesteak. Not bad, though there wasn't a whole lot on it other than cheese and steak. Still tasty. They could stand to change up the bread. Tastes like the cheap grocery store rolls that are dry and fall apart. The shop itself is kind of simple, 5 small tables, not much atmosphere or decor. But it's a new place, maybe that will come. The cost is pretty extreme. $18 and change for a 12" sub a small bag of chips and Pepsi. That's a waaayyyyyy too much. Tonight, Friday night, placed an order for delivery at 8:40pm. Got a confirmation email and got excited. Got a call at 8:46 saying we are unable to deliver your order, would you be able to come pick up? Sure, can you take the tip and delivery fee off? We'll be there in ten in our pjs. Arrive at the store, they say they need to re-swipe our card. Food is ready, they just cancelled the card payment. We're not carrying our wallet, no money on us. I had not had a really good Philly cheesesteak sandwich since my last trip to Philadelphia a few years ago. We have friends from Philadelphia and picked up 4 Philly cheesesteaks and went to their house for dinner last night. They were delicious. Our Philly friends loved them, too. They said they were like the ones at home and really enjoyed them. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. We called an hour and a half ahead, and had to wait 15 minutes past the pickup time. They must have had a lot of to go orders because there were no eat-in customers there. We will go back, though. Walked in yesterday with a friend to get some food, guy at the counter asked me if we were going to dine in or carry out, i said dine in then he proceeded to tell me that i needed a mask when 5 feet from where i was ordering i was going to sit and take it off to eat. Now normally i wouldn't have a problem wearing a mask because i do for my job but when some one tells me i have to wear a mask to order my food through a Plexi glass window to turn around and take it off 5 feet away also when the person taking my order and cooking my food doesn't have a mask on that's what upsets me. Unfortunately we went there tonight and waited for 25 minutes for 1 sub and 1 order of fries that was still not ready so we asked for our money back. The cook really thought we were being unreasonable and very rudely asked 'for what' when told we wanted our money back saying the food was ready... still no food sitting ready for us.
