Gizzards, onion rings, fries and small drink.

First Visit to White Swans BBQ - Honest Thoughts This was my first time visiting White Swans BBQ. My initial impression was average -- nothing too exciting when walking in. The prices were a bit mixed, and personally, I found them slightly on the higher side. I ordered a small drink and the gizzard plate with fries and onions, which came out to about $13.99. I'll admit -- the food was good, especially the gizzards. They cooked them well, and the sides hit the spot. The staff, especially the ladies working there, were friendly and down-to-earth. Overall, I'd come back again and try a different plate next time.

Small BBQ plate with Double Boiled Potatoes & Hushpuppies

The BBQ, potatoes and hushpuppies were awesome! LOVED! The staff were busy but courteous. Great sweet tea, too! It was quiet tonight but I've seen it busy! Great place to eat!

There was so much food in my plate! It was delicious!! I had fried chicken and bbq pork, (vinegar based bbq) Brunswick stew, potato salad & hush puppies. The hush puppies are given complimentary when the table is seated and they are sooo addicting! I like white meat and was served 2 pieces of chicken which one was left untouched because I just couldn't eat anymore!! Brunswick stew was a first for me, very hearty & country, tomato based soup with veggies & fried chicken pieces, it was good! Sweet tea was perfect!! Located next to a gas station so don't miss it!

Food and service always has been a part of my family. Prices are reasonable with a full menu of things to drink.

The only thing they don't have on the buffet is beef brisket, which is what we love, but all the food that we got the shredded pork, ribs, barbecue chicken, vegetables, bread...everything was really good. It's an odd place to have a barbecue restaurant, but it was definitely enjoyable. The service was excellent and they were very good about keeping the place clean. Being able to watch the airplanes land and takeoff was just an extra bonus.

But it was worth those few extra minutes for front row seats of the action on the tarmac below. We arrived during their lunchtime buffet hours, although you can also order from their regular menu. I'm not usually a buffet person, but since I wanted to try a little bit of everything it was definitely the way to go. For $18 I got some ribs, pulled pork, and BBQ chicken. Not to mention, a side of their delish cornbread, and a scoop of two of my Southern faves: mac & cheese and collard greens. Sadly, I was too full of the deliciousness to make a second trip, but if I had it would have been for a heaping pile of mashed potatoes and a generous scoop of their homemade peach cobbler. If you like airplanes and BBQ, add this to your list for your next visit to the area. They also have a full bar, though on this hot day we were happy with bottomless refills of their refreshing sweet tea.

Having changed the name at least twice (Big John's Hot and Spicy, & Big Johns Wings and Things),…read morethis food truck's owners have now settled on Wingski's. I'm not sure how that name came about, but with this name, I presume they'd do decent wings. An accurate presumption in this instance. There's a variety on the menu from this food truck, a sandwich, a wrap, buffalo shrimp, chicken and waffles, and - an unusual (for a food truck) but regional specialty - a fried bologna sandwich. With all of that, though, it's the wings that drew us in. With about a dozen different sauces, and with wings available in regular and boneless, our first sauce choice was not available (boo!) but the classic buffalo sauce was, and that's what we tried. It was listed a "medium" heat, but maybe I'm used to really hot, because I found it more of a low heat. The person I was with thought it was perfect. On the plus side, there's nothing like wings hot from the cooker. It was worth the short wait. Because the wings were smaller than average, the Wingski's crew threw in a couple extra wings and for the price, it was a nice surprise. The people handling the orders were most apologetic for not having our initial sauce choice, and handled it with a sense of humor. I think we'll be trying to find them again because there were quite a few options and we have more sampling to do.

I tried out Wingski's the other night and thought that they were good, but nothing super original…read more I appreciated the diversity in the menu (they do have other things other than wings and fries) and thought the price were fair for the amount of food you get. The wings were good, however, I always compare wings to Heavenly Buffaloe's, which is a pretty high bar. Wingski's had a nice selection of sauces, but I would have liked more flavor and more spice. The fries were really good and I could tell they made them fresh, but I didn't need to pay extra for the parmesan cheese. Overall, it was a good meal but I will probably stick to my Heavenly Buffaloe's delivery in the future unless I am really hungry (unlike other reviewers, we got our food in about 5 minutes but there was no line).

The parking situation is interesting, there are a few spots behind/besides the building, curb parking in front, and then a dirt area that it doesn't look like you can park in, but people do. Though I didn't sit at the bar I'd definitely be tempted to go again and check it out. The garlic bread and marinara sauce was a pleasant appetizer that set the tone for the meal. It set my hopes up for a delightful dinner and it did not disappoint. The pizza was such a surprise. I was so excited to find a pizza that I could compare to true NY pizza! During the course of our meal, we found out Sami is from New Jersey and so understands exactly what a pizza should taste like. The delicious dinner made me decide to delight myself in a cannoli. I was remiss to share with my son. The filling was divine. The perfect mix of sugar and ricotta, sweet without being overly so to still enjoy the flavor of the ricotta.
