Great food, great beer and great times. We came here today because my husband has been wanting…read moreGerman food and I had heard this was a good place to go. It wasn't good it was fantastic. Schulz Brau had the whole ambience down, a beer hall that transports you to Germany. A wide inviting hall with share tables or more private tables if you don't want to be too social. You order your drinks at the bar and then order your food from the kitchen area outside. Their menu consists of German classics and also different pizzas for the less adventurous. My family got a variety of things. We got the bratwurst for our 9 year old with a side of seasoned fries. The curry wurst fries and the wiener style schnitzel with spatzle and German cucumber salad. We also had to get a pretzel because why not? The food took a little bit to come out which was understandable. In the meantime my husband and I each got a beer. The beers were fantastic. When we got our food it all was really good and came out fresh and hot. The curry wurst fries were great. The curry wasn't spicy it was more creamy with great subtle flavor on top of the crispy fries and the charred brats. The weiner style schnitzel, surprised me with how much I liked it. The light breading on the pork was nice and crispy and the lingonberry jam and lemon slice added a nice refreshing touch. The spatzle was good with the cheese sauce over it. For me the cucumber salad was the only thing I had that wasn't super good. The cucumber was fresh and the dressing on it light but it wasn't my favorite. I loved their pretzel with the cheese dip that was a mixture of Brie and cream cheese with some spices. Everything just really came out well made and tasted good. We definitely want to come back and try more things. It seems like a great place to come catch up with friends and hang with your family. It is a little loud but that is to be expected with the open hall style. Overall it was a really fun time and worth coming to check out their beer and food.

A quick Yelp search while in the area led us here. It was a good find for sure…read more Loved that even on cold days, there is a closed-in patio that allows pups! Our pup travels everywhere with us, so finding these spots is important to us. It was very spacious too - so we weren't on top of other guests. They have an extensive menu and the same with the beer list. There is something for everyone, from hoppy IPAs to fruity sours. Not sure which beer you may like - get a sample. Or try a flight! For lunch, we got the deviled eggs to start - something that is a go-to for us. They were solid and enjoyable. For the main, we opted for the Abridged burger and the Chicken club. Both were solid as well. Fries were crispy, but a bit over-salted, and I enjoy some salt. So made a note for next time to "go light". Service was good too. Overall - really only a tiny detail to 'complain' about, but easily taken care of next time. We will be back for sure - I want to try their pizza!

Burgers have always been top notch and awaiting their takeover of the Xul kitchens here. Bar staff on top of service, even refilling water when it got low. Service is a plus. Ambiance is more restaurant feel than brewery, although there is a wide selection of brews available. She order a lemondrop. Nice job, but you get a lemondrop pretty much the same no matter where you go. Beer is very good here. I did not have one I did not enjoy. I need to return some time and try some of their food menu items.

You can find Last Days of Autumn Brewing at 808 E Magnolia Ave, Knoxville, TN 37917 - this is in a…read moresomewhat commercial area of Knoxville - the brewery is in a short strip mall. There's parking out front and plenty on the streets nearby. I was in Knoxville with some friends and we decided to check out Last Days of Autumn Brewing - the storefront is a bit sketchy but don't let that fool you - the taproom is larger than it appears from the street. You walk through to reach the bar towards the back of the room. We decided on some flights to sample what was being offered. I had: * Young Nathan Jr Bitter - Session/Ordinary 4.9% ABV - Malty roasty body, well balanced sweet malt to hoppy finish note of chocolate. Fairly easy drinking. 3.8/5 * 94 Accord Pale Ale - American 4.5% ABV - Citrus notes with a somewhat bitter hoppy finish, great lacing. 3.5/5 * Oracle 25 (Galena) Pale Ale - American 5.5% ABV - Very easy drinks lager, light body with rice? I'd imagine it would be great with food as it's very neutral. 3/5 * Six Gun Sound Porter - English 4.5% ABV - Fruity medium body bitter, citrus and herbal notes with a hard stop finish. Well balanced, not much sweet malt to speak of. 3.5/5 Overall I felt like the beer was competently made but very directed towards the neighbors, that from the look of the place, were frequent visitors. Also the general ABV of what I sampled I felt were produced as accompaniment to the food being offered (the night I visited was apparently a seafood night). I thought the service was decent considering it was an order-at-the-counter situation. I plan to visit again.

They do offer some canned soda for non beer drinkers, however they do NOT have ice.
