Taco Tuesday from Monday Night Brewing on a Thursday at Kern's Food Hall, Knoxville
    Bruce K.

A fabulous addition to Kerns Food Hall, I enjoyed two of their "Taco Tuesday" with my pizza. Friendly service and a busy location, they have downstairs and upstairs and more. Plenty of space, great beers and a huge parking lot. [Review 1202 of 2024 - 518 in Tennessee - 22225 overall]

    Tres Amigas beer

This place was ok. Prices are high. You can get better beer, better service and better prices at many other breweries in Knoxville like Xul & Yeehaw to name a few. When you pay you dont see the breakdown as to what you are paying for, you only see a total price and of course the annoying tip page. I clicked on my receipt being sent via text to me. The thing that pissed me off was that they added a "service charge" and I was never told I was going to get charged a service charge. There are also no signs anywhere posted that you will be charged a service fee & nobody tells you. I did tip and I always tip based on service. But this service charge is B.S. If you do want to drink alcohol at Kerns Food Hall go to Eggspectation next door, Better experience, better prices and no "service charge". Should be listed as "Rip off fee" instead of "Service Charge". See my attached picture of receipt.

I've been hoping to find decent German food in Knoxville since I got here in '22…read more I finally made it to Schulz Bräu, and they did not disappoint. The food was tasty, the beer was excellent and the atmosphere even on a drizzly Saturday afternoon was nice. For full disclosure, I cannot say it was the best sauerbraten I've had...that would be Monica's at Schnitzel in Vidor, TX...but it was very tasty. And the prices surprised me in their reasonableness. I look forward to returning soon and trying a schnitzel.

Burgers have always been top notch and awaiting their takeover of the Xul kitchens here. Bar staff on top of service, even refilling water when it got low. Service is a plus. Nice job, but you get a lemondrop pretty much the same no matter where you go. Beer is very good here. I did not have one I did not enjoy. Our pup travels everywhere with us, so finding these spots is important to us. It was very spacious too - so we weren't on top of other guests. They have an extensive menu and the same with the beer list. There is something for everyone, from hoppy IPAs to fruity sours. Not sure which beer you may like - get a sample. Or try a flight! For lunch, we got the deviled eggs to start - something that is a go-to for us. They were solid and enjoyable. For the main, we opted for the Abridged burger and the Chicken club. Both were solid as well. Fries were crispy, but a bit over-salted, and I enjoy some salt. So made a note for next time to "go light". Service was good too. Overall - really only a tiny detail to 'complain' about, but easily taken care of next time. We will be back for sure - I want to try their pizza!

There's parking out front and plenty on the streets nearby. I was in Knoxville with some friends and we decided to check out Last Days of Autumn Brewing - the storefront is a bit sketchy but don't let that fool you - the taproom is larger than it appears from the street. You walk through to reach the bar towards the back of the room. We decided on some flights to sample what was being offered. I had: * Young Nathan Jr Bitter - Session/Ordinary 4.9% ABV - Malty roasty body, well balanced sweet malt to hoppy finish note of chocolate. Fairly easy drinking. 3.8/5 * 94 Accord Pale Ale - American 4.5% ABV - Citrus notes with a somewhat bitter hoppy finish, great lacing. 3.5/5 * Oracle 25 (Galena) Pale Ale - American 5.5% ABV - Very easy drinks lager, light body with rice? I'd imagine it would be great with food as it's very neutral. 3/5 * Six Gun Sound Porter - English 4.5% ABV - Fruity medium body bitter, citrus and herbal notes with a hard stop finish. Well balanced, not much sweet malt to speak of. 3.5/5 Overall I felt like the beer was competently made but very directed towards the neighbors, that from the look of the place, were frequent visitors. Also the general ABV of what I sampled I felt were produced as accompaniment to the food being offered (the night I visited was apparently a seafood night). I thought the service was decent considering it was an order-at-the-counter situation. I plan to visit again.

They do offer some canned soda for non beer drinkers, however they do NOT have ice.
