F&D, help me understand why a product marked as "Clearance" is still regular price? Last month, I visited and found a bamboo floor that I really like. So when I returned yesterday to purchase it, I was excited to see the Clearance sign indicating that it was marked down. However, disappointed to notice that the price was the same. A DESINER that doesn't want to design. I had an appointment with Patricia, DESIGNER at the Capital Heights Store location for help with my bathroom remodel. She didn't greet me, ignored my questions, and when asked for help with colors and materials said, "I can design my own bathroom, but I can't design yours." I told her that I may want to use small decorative tiles in my shower, she said,"Decorative tile is very expensive." We never discussed my budget, so why make the assumption that I may not be interested in expensive tile? At no point did I feel that she was ever genuinely trying to assist me with my design.I left feeling dismissed, disrespected, and frustrated. I love Floor & Decor's products, but this consultation was far below expectations. I hope future customers are paired with a professional, patient, and helpful design specialist. read more

If you are engaged in a home remodeling project, or are moving into a new home and want to customize to your tastse, I highly, highly recommend Floor and Decor. My contractor first recommended them to me at their Northern, VA location, then they opened this location at Ritchie Station shopping center. Their prices are good, though my taste run toward the expensive side. But I think they can accommodate all project budgets. This place is huge, so I recommend you give some thought to what you are looking for, bring some paint color samples with you, and then browse the isles. read more

Just walked into this store and I'm absolutely appalled at the level of "customer service". I was sent over to talk to a "Ms. Patricia". We briefly discussed what my needs were for a basement flooring install. She couldn't answer basic questions about weight rating and durability. Every single question pointed me to a much higher priced product and underlayment. Underlayment. Underlayment. I think I heard underlayment at least 60 times in our less than 15 minute encounter. Provided zero help. And upon leaving the store, she just walked away. No "thank you for stopping in". No "have a nice night". Just terrible. If your customers, the folks that provide the revenue for the paycheck you take home, are a bother to you, SEEK OTHER EMPLOYMENT! If I could the experience 0 stars I would. I'll find a different store for my purchase. read more

This place has the worst customer service. No wonder the parking lot is empty. Tried to get a store credit for 1 box of unused accent tile we purchased at the Alexandria store before this store opened, but the associate wouldn't honor it. Had a receipt, read their return policy in their website and asked why. The associate said she couldn't give us money back. We told her we didn't want money back, we just wanted store credit as it states in their website return policy. We saw that the store had boxes of what we wanted to return in stock. We couldn't understand why we were denied. To make a long story short, she refused, said that they couldn't take it back because it was not longer in stock. Not true. They had boxes. This lady was very rude and insulting. Asked to speak to a manager, she said she was the manager. At first, we were so happy that a Floor & Decor store opened closer to Calvert County than Alexandria, but we will never ever step foot in this store again. Go a few extra miles to the Alexandria store because it's not worth the aggravation going to Capitol Heights. We had a cart of other tile we were going to purchase, but we were so disappointed with what we just experienced, we left. We went to the Alexandria store and got our credit and the other tile we needed. read more

In home renovation so buy a lot from Floor and Decor Unfortunately will not shop at Capitol Heights store any longer. Majority of salespeople either do not want to help or do not know the store. This morning we arrive at our scheduled time to pick up a $3000.00 order Three guys in loading just sit and stare and tell me "We can't find you" I give them order number, phone number and then my name. It means nothing to them that it should have been ready My contractor backs up and they drop the pallet about 10 feet from the rear of the truck and stare. I ask them to move it closer for him. They of course drag their feet. There were mumbling coming from then until their manager walked past. So then they shut up. They were no help at all. Stood far enough away to not help Alexandria Floor and Decor in contrast have helpful sales people and attentive loaders. Same store just BETTER! And they don't have a sign reading " keep valuables out of sight in your car. read more

I visited this store on several different occasions last month. Overall the staff were very helpful and the store was clean and well organized. Deducting a star for a loud and annoying chirping sound that was very distracting and it occurred on each of the four times I visited this location. A staff member told me the loud beeping sound was "supposed to be there". read more

I am extremely impressed! My husband and I walked in and every employee we saw spoke. Then we met Darius and he made sure we got the flooring we wanted. Over the top was Ayanna the cashier who came to the car to let us know they were wrapping our flooring and would be loading it soon. Two weeks later we return and Ayanna remembers us and Darius helps us again. I will return again and again because of the service. First I LOVE the new location, no more over the bridge. On my 2nd trip to the store we got there at 7:05 & they were closed. With the contractors coming the next day we needed to see the floor selection in person & the employee graciously let us in to view. The employee was Keiwan & he is the most customer service oriented person I've met in a long while. My first visit to the store was just as exceptional with the entire staff being so helpful. I am happy to write the first review for this new store. I found out they recently opened this store in early August and it is a welcome addition to the area. I have been to a number of other F&D stores and the team at this location far outshines other locations. We were able to find everything we needed and the team members were very helpful and answering our questions. I would like to give a specific shout out to Kevin, he was quick to greet us, engage in conversation to understand what we were shopping for, and assist us in pulling our tile from the shelf. Really hit or miss on the customer service. I have been to the store about 6 times for my job at the beginning of 2023 ... and really would rather drive further to the other stores. I have also had clients try and reach them on the phone and no one would pick up. read more

I LOVE this new store!!!! I'm a contractor & everyone is sooooo helpful!!!! Russell asked me several times if I needed help & even help me load 30 boxes of tile in my work van. They greet as you walk into the store or walk around the store. The people there actually ask if you need help & help you. Great selection!!!!
