We spent over $15k at F&D and used their partner third party installer (Installation Made Easy - itself a nightmare - whom we also paid over $10k to install flooring). Vinyl Flooring: We purchased 136 boxes of flooring and 16 stair retreads, along with transition pieces for the main flooring all in the "butter toast" color (in fact, when we purchased the flooring, the website said and still says "Coordinating Trim Pieces" where these stair retreads are sold). Installation Made Easy installed everything and we noticed that half the stair retreads were not the right color. The incorrect ones are close but visibly paler - almost like they have been bleached - it is quite obvious side by side (even more obvious in person than in the picture). I brought the issue to F&D and they said too bad and that I should have inspected it before I installed it. I asked how I can be expected to inspect 100 boxes of flooring, 16 stairs, and trim pieces, they said I only needed to inspect the 8 stairs that were defective (as if I was supposed to know beforehand that those specific stairs would be defective and not any of the 136 boxes of flooring or other things I bought). They then informed me that the stair retreads are made by a different manufacturer so the color can be different (again, how I am supposed to know this when F&D themselves sell it as the "coordinating trim" and identify it as the same color "butter toast"). They basically laughed in my face when I said I wanted new stair retreads for the defective ones that I installed (amounting to a little under $500 of the $15k+ we spent), so in the end, we had to buy more stair retreads, pay someone to remove the defective stair retreads, and then pay for installation again. Grout: We also purchased grout for tile that we put in our bathroom (tile purchased from Home Depot). We used F&D's grout calculator and they said we need 9 gallons of grout. The grout was $121 per gallon, plus tax. We finished the project and had some leftover tile from Home Depot and 4.5 gallons of leftover grout from F&D (4 unopened with the seal still on). We brought the tile to Home Depot (who also has a 90 day return policy) and they asked why I was returning it and I said we completed our project and had leftover tile, and they said yep happens all the time and processed a full return back to my credit card. When I tried to do the same at F&D with the 4 unopened sealed gallons of grout, they said it's past the 90 days and that they can only give me a store credit. Okay fine. Then they process the return and they only give me $60 per gallon when I paid $121 and the price of the grout is STILL $121 on the website. I had to argue with the manager for ten minutes to get a full store credit for an unopened unused 100% resalable product that they still sell for the same price and that amounted to approximately 3% of my total spend ($484 for the returned grout of over $15k) at their store on this project. The side by side experience between F&D and Home Depot was really eye-opening. Considering their products are very similar and have similar pricing, we will never shop at F&D again and we will tell all of our friends and family never to shop there either. read more

I was immediately greeted with Rey in laminate Flooring, he was able to answer all my questions Regarding laminate & vinyl and waterproof and water resistant. I had shown up 45 minutes before closing Cashier said I would have to pick up next day Rey was able to accommodate my order right away. Left the store with my Flooring and padding. What a great store!!! It has such a massive amount of tiles, hard wood, and other material. Not too many employees around but that was ok with me since I was only looking. Terrible customer service. Came in on a Tuesday at 6:30 pm just to get ideas for a few bathrooms and a kitchen we are designing. As soon as we walked in we were told we close at 7 pm. Then we were just bothered constantly about what time they were closing. No one ever offered us any actual help with anything. They even hid all of the carts so people wouldn't shop. It was literally ridiculous. We felt genuinely unwanted in the store. This place is the Walmart of floor design places. Actually no, Walmart gives better service than this dump. Will not be returning. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Have done one in-store purchase for mosaic tile here, and 2 online orders for LVP flooring after browsing the store to make our choice. Store has many choices with good prices, and there are staff to answer questions. Each time I came to pick up my order, it was quick and easy esp if you use their online process to schedule your pickup date and time. The staff have been very helpful when loading my order into my car, especially Ezra and Edgar. One of the flooring boxes had damaged pieces and they both walked me to a cashier at the front of the store to help me get a refund for that box and make sure I was taken care of. read more

Do you enjoy long lines and no help? Well you're in luck because Floor and Decor is the place for you! They have 4 registers but why keep them open when they can have 2 cashiers working one register! That's right! A line so long you'd think you're at Disneyland! If you're lucky enough see a manager roaming around you better take act quick before they hind from you. Pro tip - you need a receipt or your phone number to make a return but their system doesn't record everything so just remember that. if you don't have a receipt they'll only give you a store credit which is not the same price as you paid. read more

This was my first time here and initially I was put off by Anum, who sported a supervisor name tag, but wasn't eager to help as she was busy yelling directions to another employee in the store. I asked her for assistance a couple of times, but she never spoke to me and paged someone to assist me. However, she paged someone to assist me on the floor and Tony was especially helpful and knowledgable. He was friendly and incredibly nice! Very disappointed at the lack of engagement on 2 different occasions at the Carson location. Employees seem more interested in having conversations amongst themselves versus with customers. I felt like I was "bothering" then by asking for their assistance. Also fun fact: Carson employee asked for my ID for a $212 credit card purchase. The employee for the Downey store didn't ask die ID when I made a $979 purchase. She helped me pick out some beautiful porcelain tile and black pebbles for our shower floor both $5-$8 a square foot. There are also gorgeous options for flooring and backsplashes. I wanted to give a review on my experience at this location. Rick which is a designer, helped me from the time we spoke until the time I left. I was looking for a floor associate to help me and heard his walkie talkie on another isle. So I asked could he call someone to help me, he said he may be able to help me and what did I need. I needed help putting two boxes of tile into my cart. Not only did he put the boxes into my cart but he told me everything I needed to get, calculated what I needed and walked my extremely heavy cart around the store not even knowing I'm dealing with a shoulder injury right now.
