Walking into ikea is like a second chance of life, I get to play different roles out in my head as…read morei travel across different rooms but also travel across different worlds. One minute I'm an arguing husband complaining about dinner not being made in time, and yelling at the kids for not taking out the trash again. But then i close eyes, and I open them again. and in front is a beautiful inground pool and as i gracefully wash my plates taking in the soothing and comfortable life i've built myself. This is my i made it moment. I was sad that I had to leave this world behind as i continue to walk around the store. I followed the arrows and before me i was surrounded by random assortments of furniture types. A shelf full of wooden chairs, beds that make you question if you really do get good sleep at night, and built out bathrooms with a toilet sink and mirror (only the mirror works). It was so good it reminded me of when she used to stay over my place and leave behind kind messages through the fog of the mirror as she bids me farewell. After more than a decade of not seeing it, I couldn't believe the sight in front of me as the pile of colorful ballpit looked right back at me, waiting for my return. but the place was closed and i was really bummed out. I pass through the children's section filled with nostalgic toy trains and plushes, making me wonder when my time will arrive for me to parent one of my own. If only she came back. After the maze of life that i survived, i made it to the bottom of the store near checkout. Shit felt like a warehouse, kinda like how i used to work at amazon and wondered if this is all life had to offer. after being convinced to buy some loofahs, i sneak past checkout and craved urgently a nice cup of that nostalgic vanilla frozen yogurt i once enjoyed as a child. They were out of strawberry and basically everything but the vanilla frozen yogurt cup (yup they were out of cones too). After finally receiving it I was astounded by the insanely basic taste this was literally straight from burger king. Will I never have that same experience again? Will sysco follow me wherever I go? Chipotle Chicken 5.9/10 - I was served my plates by a beautiful black woman, I wonder if she'd write messages on the mirror too. The chicken looked pretty decent at first glance, the texture? it was surprisingly tender, the chicken was shredded way easier than i expected, lowkey suspicious. The rice was bland, the beans were so basic no different than a can of them. and the plantains were good just not my thing personally. The sauce was heavy on spices, but the flavor of chicken itself wasn't all there, which made me wonder if it really is chicken. taste like chicken, looks like chicken, smells like chicken, but does sysco really sell chickens? Pasta with marinara sauce 2.6/10 - A child could've made a better pasta with sauce than this. god damn I did not think sauce could be so much like straight water, and the pasta was like wet cardboard, no offense to the beautiful woman in the back i'm more than sure she didn't make this slop, her graceful hands would never come near such an abomination of life. If i left this outside for some animals to eat, the only thing gone would be the cardboard sheet holding it. This level of torture is beyond the morals of humanity, I can only imagine and fear the evil figure behind this weapon of mass destruction. Swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes 6.4/10 - This ikea classic was a must grab for a taster of the finer things such as myself. They were aight, got the job done, once i felt full i had no desire to eat even as much as a crumb. the meatballs themselves kinda tasted like meat. could've fooled me, and the sauce on top gave it a starchy layer of moistness. the mash potatoes, straight from one of those packets, it was as soft as baby food, and i didn't know how to feel about that, it did leave a cozy feeling inside of me. The lingen berry sauce was a new one for me, it was your run of the mill sweet jam that brought an interesting twist to the meatballs. DO NOT mix this with the mash potatoes, i will not be making that mistake again. The veggies were weirdly memorable, like the ones you never ate from your school lunch (yes ALL of us) Vanilla Frozen yogurt 6.1/10 - One thing I always loved about ikea was finally leaving and getting some ice cream, and eating it on the cone was really an experience everyone should get to have at least once in their life. The store has changed it's layout over the years. However price is definitely still excellent. On a hot day walking around IKEA will be a good exercise.

I've been here 6x in the last 6 months after moving to central NJ. While this is an outlet place…read morewhich means it's quite a jumble of items without much presentation beyond being on the floor, it's a steep discount from the full Pottery Barn locations' presentation & pricing if one has patience. The location is superbly accessible occupying a major corner of the vast mall with a major exterior and two exterior loading areas, 1 adjacent to the exterior door and a proper loading dock on the side by arrangement / request. The interior door is very large, as are all retailer's here, and is immediately adjacent to the restroom hallway in this sector of the mall (those familiar know restrooms are a bit of a distance from most spots). The space is always very well swept and kept with spacious warehouse ceiling, copious lighting, and clarion categorization inside evident from anywhere on the floor. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful with any number of questions from us from borrowing a ruler or a scissor to chasing down an SKU and installation advice. The inventory is more or less the complete width thus not just expected furniture but also lighting, curtain rods, kids' backpacks, bath and kitchen accessories, textiles, fireplace covers & pokers, etc. There is no final clearance section as they're located in their respective category's area. There's a bathroom and water fountain in the store though unclear if they're for customers as are typically partly obscured by some ad hoc storage and janitorial equipment. Major downsides are some categories like curtain rodes are a hopeless mass of messily laid boxes often without labels or even SKUs and potentially incomplete though one can't open all boxes to examine so it's almost unusable. The sofas sell out steadily so one should be able to act timely. The chairs also seem to cycle thru quite speedily which is good and bad both, greatest challenge being if you need more than 3 of a style. Overall, great location and realization of the brand for the patient!

I am very impressed with F&D: starting with selection and variety of options, quality of materials, and competitive pricing. What made the biggest difference however is the staff. Everyone we dealt with was most helpful and friendly. I have to say a special thank you to Sylvie Stewart, a member of the design crew at F&D. Sylvie has an amazing eye for design, an ability to know what you want and need before you know it. I was agonizing about the floors I wanted for weeks. It took Sylvie one look and she picked something I am absolutely in love with. I didn't see it myself, but her pick was truly perfect. She was also incredibly attentive and helpful with picking out everything else, walking me through the process (I am a first time renovator), getting everything organized and shipped. Worst pickup experience Ive ever had as a customer. I was treated horribly by two young latina girls who knew nothing about their job and less about how to treat customers. I have never felt ore screwed as the employes where helpful until they had my money then the rudest of them come from the back of the store to destroy the customer relationships built during sales. I was forced to wait almost an hr by these two children and then disrespected verbally. I will never shop at this location again. The pro associate MAria who sold me this 12k in materials watched me be harrassed and ignored me as though she actually didn't remeber me which i knew she did. I originally came in to order 4 orders of 4500 sq ft in flooring for over 40k but I decided to see how they'd treat me as a business and Im glad i did because the services is not worth the headache or price read more

Had a great experience today with supervisor Donell during our checkout. This was our first time in the store and we were purchasing some tiles and backsplashes for kitchen remodel. When we got to the checkout she was so welcoming and cheerful which isn't something you see often so it was nice! She asked if we ever shopped before which we haven't and explained the benefits of creating an account and how it would benefit us! She asked what kind of project we were working on as she was ringing us out and welcomed us to come back and show her the finished project! We did not have time to do the credit app today but she gave us the slip and brochure to do it at home!! All the staff was so friendly and we will definitely be back to finish our project ! I meet Sylvie upon walking around the store. She introduced herself as a Design Consultant. I told her what I was looking for and gave her my ideas. She has an eye for interior design. She help me choose colors of tile and grout and so much more. She had a great personality, friendly and patient. Super Sam And Emily were fantastic n provided outstanding customer service! Emily (from the design center) was able to help me pick out tile for a shower over the phone because I didn't want to go into the store due to COVID. She also arranged for curbside pick up of the samples I purchased on line. Sam stepped in when Emily was off for the weekend and made the delivery arrangements (n helped me pick out n purchase two additional grouts I needed to add to the order). I went to the store with a contractor to choose a threshold in my new bathroom. While walking around the store, we noticed several decorations. I really liked the decoration of this bathroom: the white tile is just gorgeous, but the shower (leaves questions). Fortunately, I managed to find a suitable threshold option, but it didn't fit a bit in size and had to be trimmed. read more

He kept every single vendor on track and the delays were minimal, usually related to things out of stock. He was often at the house, checking in with the vendors and workers to make sure everything was being executed to plan. When we found any minor thing that wasn't exactly how we wanted it, he came back and fixed it himself. he was available and honest and has an amazing eye for detail. Even though the building is visibly dated, it has most of the modern amenities found at newer Targets: aisle price scanners, self checkout, a small grocery section, a pharmacy, a cosmetics boutique, a Capital One ATM, and a recently renovated Starbucks and pizza snack bar area. If you're staying at the neighboring Homewood Suites which opened 3 years ago, this place is a 30 second walk away and great for procuring travel necessities like toiletries, snacks, and medications during and after your stay. Regarding messiness, this store attracts a lot of visitor traffic from Menlo Park Mall and Roosevelt Park on weekends, including people with children, so shelves and clothing racks will understandably be a little messy. Since this location is next to a townhouse complex and three nursing homes, inventory for popular items also tends to run low without real-time inventory levels being reflected on Target.com. One of my biggest complaints about this Target is the T-shaped bottleneck for exiting and entering the parking lot. You'll also find some of the worst drivers ever here as they confusedly or recklessly enter and leave without yielding when they don't have right of way. For a more pleasant shopping experience, try the Hadley Center Target.
