With all the floor samples and displays bring me to a good vibes of renovating all sections of my house. Service is top notch - hoping quality of the materials are in same level too. purchased tiles from Floor & Decor for my bathroom, and they were defective--a hidden manufacturing flaw that wasn't visible before installation. The glaze ended prematurely on the edges, exposing the red bisque, making the tiles unfit for use. Despite showing photos and documentation, customer service only offered $800 for the tiles, completely ignoring the thousands of dollars in labor, demolition, and reconstruction costs to fix the problem. They admitted the defect existed but refused to cover the real costs, leaving my family to absorb the financial burden. This is unacceptable. Quality control is poor, and their corporate and customer service teams failed to provide any meaningful resolution. I cannot recommend Floor & Decor to anyone who expects reliable products or professional support. Ironic that you have to use the court system to get your money back. read more

Stay away!! The customer service of this company is horrible. I purchased defective Optimax vinyl flooring made by Swiss Krono for Floor & Decor. The product resolution team is astocious and rude. This business is ripping off customers by not standing by their products and having paying customers go through absurd and unacceptable independent inspections that are flawed. They most definitely do not care about customers. And Swiss Krono is no better. What a wonderful experience I had with one of the senior designers. My husband and I were in the store awhile ago just to get some ideas since we were renovating two bathrooms in our house. However, we had no direction and no clue about where to start. Ms. Diehl was working at her desk and while she was busy, she still took the time out to help us a bit. She also gave us some ideas to think about and told us to book an appt with her when we were ready. However, when we finally were, she was unavailable and we had another designer help us. In the end, we didn't love the final design that was done. After more research about what we wanted, we decided to contact Ms. Diehl again. I made an appt to see Ms. Diehl today at 11am and I have to say the whole visit was so pleasant and informative. She gave great ideas and was so positive and eager to work with. The meet was even cutting way past her lunchtime so I offered to come back after she eats but she insisted on continuing. I am so grateful for her time and knowledge of putting everything she did, together. It was great having such a wonderful, knowledgeable and professional staff member as a part of the store. She is such an asset and I will not hesitate to recommend her to anyone and everyone! I made my purchase tonight and I cannot wait to see how my bathrooms turn out! read more

I've bought from this store in the past, with neutral results, so when redoing a huge basement space I decided to try them again for floor tiles. What a disaster! Yes they have a big selection, and decent prices, but that's only because the product is trash! First, they didn't have the quantity I needed in store, so they did what they call is a remote buy - from another store, so then I had to pay $250 delivery charge. and that's where the problems began. the in store rep did not know what sort of forms I needed to fill out for the delivery, she contacted a manager via walkie talkie, who said the providing store would email it to me. I went home, and a day later with no email called the providing store, I gave them an alternate phone number as our home line was down due to the construction. I asked about the waiver form, the cs rep was super unprofessional - said she was just back from the bathroom so couldn't think straight and had to go on mandated lunch break so she'd look into it and call me back. it was scheduled delivery for Labor Day so obviously that had to change, so we decided on 9/2 instead. then she hung up. and I didn't hear from her again. A few days later I called again, got the same woman who swore she never spoke to me - said there were no notes on file with an alternate number and said it was too late to deliver on the 2nd as that truck was full but she could do it maybe a few days later. again I didn't hear back - I called again, they said they left a message on my disconnected phone line - and they would deliver on Thursday. I had my workers in the house when they delivered. they saw the delivery guys throw down one box, and shatter it. **At this poing my phone line was back up, the phone messages were saved as voicemail on my home line, and I was able to retrieve messages about the missing waiver, about the delivery date etc, all from the woman who swore it wasn't her who spoke to me initially, she just never took down the alternate number and all the important calls were made to a disconnected line. Getting the broken tiles replaces was another headache, phone calls, waiting on hold, told to email some random email address pictures. didn't hear back for days, then an apology for the lateness, offering to replace it. I asked when it would be delivered, and again several days... 3 emails inquiring later I was told it was best if I drove out an hour to pick it up - seriously after paying the $250 delivery charge for this order. I said no, and then after a bunch of back and forth they agreed to deliver it the next day. The basically ubered it to me. I thought this saga was over, but then we started laying the tiles.... and realized that the tiles although they were 24x24 squares, were not uniform in size. I could stack two up and feel the difference in size in all directions, some were bigger, some smaller, some correct sizing. and the colors were different as well. My contractor is trying a work around by using thicker grout lines to mask the size difference - ewww I hate the look of thick grout, and then as we're halfway through the project - we see most of the tiles are cracked or chipped, the quality on this product is terrible, so now I have to drive out an hour, and spend more $$ to buy more so that we can finish this floor that I now HATE! What a disgrace! and when I tried chatting with customer service online I was told they can't help since I purchased "in store". What a terrible company! do not buy from here!!!! read more

DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICES BEWARE!!!!! This location sold me 10000 dollars worth of tile. Problem 1: they undersold me one sku and told me there was enough, when we called for more tiles they said they didn't have any as it was a clearance item, and we had to drive 4 hours to get this sku from another store or pay 600 dollars in shipping fees and wait 14 days Problem 2: they oversold another tile and when we came to return the tile for store credit they denied the return and said we are over 90 days. They sold it to us saying that they wouldn't be able to return to our credit card after 90 days but would certainly be able to do store credit after 90 days. Very deceptive. The other floor and decor locations said they just wanted to dump their clearance tile on us and sold us whatever they had knowing it would be short... and this whole not being able to return something they still carry, for store credit when we have more to purchase is absolutely insane. Please do not trust these people at all. ESPECIALLY THE FARMINGDALE MONEY HUNGRY SALES ASSOCIATES and their design appointments. Complete trash read more

This floor and decor Has to be by far, the worst run store, and retail establishment that I have ever shopped at. When I first purchased some items from here about three weeks ago, the cashier accidentally overcharged me for more items than I had purchased. I returned the next day to point out and, get my refund on the discrepancy in the quantity of items that was charged on my credit card The Cashier that day, indicated she would have to call a Manager to approve the refund. The individual that came over was not wearing an ID tag, however, proceeded to claim that I had the stuff in my car, and that I was demanding a refund on items that were effectively "stolen". He Proceeded to state "how do I know that you don't have the items hidden in your car". What a ghastly and disgusting comment to make to a customer, to falsely accuse them of theft. after about 15 minutes of back-and-forth and the manager, claiming he had to go review the video from the previous day a refund was issued to me for the items that were overcharged Since I was buying items as samples to try at home, I returned today to return those additional items, and was once again met by a very unfriendly and unprofessional sales clerk, who had no social skills whatsoever, no personality, and no greeting when I approached the cash register. If there were zero stars, we'd give it in a heartbeat. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! If you want tiles/ flooring, go ANYWHERE else!!!! If you have a receipt, and you bring the item back, this should be an easy return + refund BUT of course, it never is. We asked for a refund and for some reason, the money was split btwn the card we used and some random scammer card. We told the cashier that it wasn't our card and if we could get a full refund like normally. Their response is "oh, we can't do that. If the cpu says that, then that's what it is".... I've never heard that in my life. The receipt has the name, number, total cost, refund policy, and credit card used. So we ask to speak to a manager for some clarification (Kia) and the attitude we received for questioning was nasty. WE were blamed for this issue. The manager ended up having to comfort the associate for some reason even though we didn't make a scene or were rude to the associate. We just wanted to know what was going on. The manager, Kia, responds "you should call corporate about this issue". This was the only answer we got. No one even tried to figure out why the cpu was making an error. Instead of managing the staff and make it a teachable moment with cpu errors, they immediately went to shut down mode, the-customer-is-wrong attitude. I would understand if we were being assholes but we had ONE question, ONE request and in a store during off-peak hours, no one could help us. If you want to go through the struggle of poor customer service, I hope whatever you buy does not break and you have no intentions of returns. read more

We went to shop at Floor and Decor today. They have so much to choose from. I mean what ever you heart desires in tiles flooring everything related down to tools grout caulking they were fully stocked. The cashier directed us to a floor associate to help us place our order. Consuelo was very experienced and gave fabulous advice. We showed her the tile we wanted and answered all our questions. She suggested grout colors and and edging strips. I had put an extension on my home and went to Floor and Decor and purchased 600sq Ft. of vinyl flooring made by Duralux Performance. I thought I was getting a great product since the manufacturer guarantees there product with a lifetime warranty. However what they do not tell you is that if you are having any issues with the floor, as I am with cracks in the middle of a tile and fine line scratches through out the floor. I called customer service to file a complaint and was told that I need to get an outside person to come and inspect the floor to see if it was installed properly and/or if it is a manufacturing defect. What floor and decor does not tell you is that when you need to have someone come in to inspect the floor you have to pay them a fee. They gave me five people to get in touch with and their fees ranged from 550 to 850 dollars. That is absurd. I had a professional contractor install the floor and will not pay the fee and floor and decor don't back their product enough to cover the fee so that is left up to the customer. This is a first. I called floor and decor and they will not do anything. SO BEWARE of any purchase you get. Also to top it all off the floor that I had purchased has been discontinued and I can not even get any more floor to have to repair any issues that I am having now and any future issues. What an awful store! This was my first experience with Floor and Decor and I will never again shop with them. Their customer service is awful, the manager is rude. When asked to speak with him, his response was "Bro, you're wasting my time" and their return policy is horrible. They use a third party company that will deny your return, even with a valid receipt and unopened product, and the manager can't do anything about it. We came in with a ton of unopened tile that were bought over 90 days ago, however due to the pandemic and delays were not installed, we didn't want our money back, we just wanted to swap for a different product. The tile is still for sale on their shelves! Because this third party company stopped the transaction, because we returned a product before there is nothing we can do until we call them on Monday morning. So we lug all the tiles out of the store and back into the car to have to come back on another day. I work in building/property management and none of my future projects will involve a product from this company! read more
