This place has EVERYTHING!!! We were looking for tile and actually became overwhelmed at the variety of tile they had. I was looking for dark porcelain tile which they didn't have much of but I was able to find two separate patterns of tile that went awesome together. DeShawn was an awesome help and very patient with me while I changed my mind about 6 times before I picked the ones I actually wanted. I will say pay attention to the size of the tile you pick. It can take 2 tile to make a 1 Sqft which would mean two times the price on the tag. That's how they get you. It may say 1.69 but it will be that times two if it takes two tile to make a sqft. I wish there were two choices for the above. I give a 4 star for price and selection...but only 1 or 2 stars for service overall. I love floor and décor for the selection! It's fun to browse the aisles and get ideas for the next project. I've been in this store many times and my review is long over due. My most recent visits were prompted due to a flood in our home. We were looking to possibly upgrade our flooring since we had to replace it all. After a few encounters with less than helpful employees, Eric made the experience top notch. He spent time going over the flooring option pros and cons with us - even though it was clear I wasn't ready to purchase yet and still had a lot of deciding to do. He never acted as if we were a bother, instead you would have thought we were the only customers in the store at that moment, for that's how attentive he was to our needs. Late in the process, we found out he wasn't even assigned to that section of the store -- now that's customer service!!!!!! In our subsequent visits, we have had more negative interactions than positive ones, which is unfortunate. The selection is great, but the search for help is nearly impossible. If it hadn't been for the sense of obligation to repay Eric for his kindness and the great prices on tile (since that's the product we ultimately selected), we would not keep coming back. During one visit recently (about two weeks ago), my husband tried to get help with tile edging and was told by the employee "I'm not even on the clock, go up front for help" as the man continued past him, never stopping nor looking back. Later that same day, after we purchased over $1000 worth of tile, that same employee was on duty at the loading dock. He appeared to be standing around doing nothing. Since my husband had been waiting for an hour for the tile to be pulled and loaded, he questioned the man about it. He was told 'it's being pulled, you just have to wait' in a very rude tone. When my husband and I later reported this behavior to the store, we were appalled to learn he was a MANAGER!!!! I believe his name was Dan. We special ordered some tile, and were told that we would get a call when it came in. We actually did this twice. Both times, I had to call, only to find out it had indeed arrived. The second time I came to pick it up at 8 pm and was barked at that the loading dock/pick up closes at 7. My husband blew up. No one ever said there was a different time for pick up than the store closing. This particular order was six small boxes that I could carry with a normal cart, no special handling needed. Dave (I think was his name) told the manager (Dan) that he would pull it if it was ok with him. Dave diffused the situation and turned the experience around for us. The other 3 employees who initially came in contact with us showed no intention or care to rectify the issue. They simply stated that 'it's posted on the wall that we close this desk at 7' -- a sign which I never saw even after they said that. If it hadn't been for Dave's intervention that night, I might never have returned to this store. The communication between the checkout folks and loading dock is apparently lacking. Both of our major stress points could have been avoided if someone would have told us 'it will be an hour before we can load it' and 'you have to pick up before 7'. Besides the major stress points, the in-store interactions in the tile edging area need to be addressed. We had numerous interactions where the employee half-heartedly asked if we needed help and kept walking as they asked - making it clear they didn't really want to. One did stop and when we told her what we were trying to do, she scoffed 'that won't happen' and walked off. It's a shame that a store with such a great selection is equally lacking in customer service. There are only a select few employees that have shown genuine desire to answer questions or help in our numerous visits. read more

My wife and I have visited this store at least 20 times over the past couple of months while doing a complete floor remodel of our newly purchased home. We have always found the store to be adequately staffed and the associates to be very professional and customer service oriented. Unbeknownst to me, I was personally assisted by the store manager, Les, during one of my most recent visits. What a phenomenal guy he is. My only regret is that we didn't purchase all of flooring product from them. I highly recommend this organization. read more

In rebuilding my old house after a fire in 12/13, I installed Porcelain tile in the rear entry, both baths and Kitchen. Installing was a lot of work, though in the end, the tile will outlast me. In looking for an easier alternative, I found the Kahlua Locking Stranded Engineered Bamboo here. Was a breeze to install and looked Beautiful, UNTIL I noticed some small scratches in the high traffic area. Plus moved my rocker / recliners a few days ago to clean under them. WOW, you should see all the small scratches from the felt covered base ! In the end, Get what you pay for ! Ripping this stuff out and going with Style Selections Brazilian Pecan Natural Glazed Porcelain at Lowes ! Should have known that wood or bamboo will never compare in durability to Porcelain tile ! In contacting Floor and Decors customer service center, the first person I talked to said Scratches were covered, yet all others have said NO ! read more

So far I can only give a two. It seems to be run by teenagers. I contacted customer service regarding my order 5 times so far and no response. All I get are emails asking how my customer service experience was and I forward email to cs letting them know I haven't received any. I did the chat and the young lady didn't know how to answer my question so she just ended the chat vs finding out the answer or forwarding to a manager. read more

Have been completing several large home renovations and needed porcelain tile. We wanted the best bang for our buck. Did a little online searching and found Floor and Decor. Made an appointment with one of their design consultants (a free service). That was such a great decision. We worked with Pam. What a delightful experience!!! Never felt rushed, she listened to our wish list and we were very disorganized, and she was always professional. If the tile is as good as Pam then we "lucked out" in both departments. We are doing a whole house renovation, being our own contractors and were feeling overwhelmed at the process of really everything! Ive researched for months and heard great things about Floor and Decor's prices. We were in the store for about 2 hours and had 2 associates help us. Amy and Don were amazing! Don helped us with the flooring and Amy helped in the kitchen and bath decorative pieces. I have a pretty good grasp on the look I am trying to create but when you see the extensive selection at Floor and Decor it can be overwhelming. I told Don and Amy about the look I was going for and they BOTH hit the nail on the head! The personal service was outstanding. They listened and over exceeded my expectations! Let me add that Amy should be an interior decorator! She has the eye and style to be a professional in the business. Please visit the Blanding store in Jacksonville and see my favorite associates Amy and Don! OH ALSO! You think with low prices you get low quality.....NOPE! Not at Floor and Decor! Horrible experience! Very rude staff, disinterested and distrated. Requested manager assistance was informed no manager was in the store, then a lady identified herself as the manager turned out she was a designer. Upon checking out cashier couldn't seem to calculate the order correctly, again and again. Took for ever to pull the order and load. Got home and started install WRONG tile. Returned tile and was told to unload it ourselves. Finally, they unloaded tile. Asked for manager...was informed he was not available. Over the next few days, Called the store, manager in meeting, called again, he was out, called again in a meeting. Called corporate office was told I had to talk to store manager, called store he was busy. Left message Again and again never received a call back. Never again, this store is a disgrace!!! read more

BUYER BEWARE. THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS IF YOU RUN INTO ANY ISSUES. I purchased around 330 sq ft of laminate flooring for my living room from the 8102 Blanding Blvd, Jacksonville, FL location of Floor and Décor on December 27, 2013. We had the flooring installed 12/28/13-12-29/13. Around 3-4 weeks after install I started noticing little indentations in a few places. I was curious so I tried to find how they were happening. I ended up finding that it was my 2yr olds toys that were making the markings. I first went to the store and spoke to a manager named Charles, who was very rude and offered no help. I asked an employee if there was someone else I could speak with and they recommended trying to get ahold of Greg. About a week passed with us trying to meet up at the store to see Greg, but we never made it up there so I finally called on 2/4/14. Greg seemed very helpful and offered to send a salesman out to our house to inspect what was going on with the flooring. Buddy Miller, in outside sales, came to our house. I showed him all of the spots (about 5 at the time) on our floor with the damage. I also took a spare board and showed him how easy it was to cause the indentations and he took that board back to Greg. A few days passed before I could get ahold of Greg who explained to me that it definitely looked like a warrantable issue, but that I would still have to get a flooring inspection done to go back to the manufacturer with the claim. He said I would be reimbursed for the flooring, the install, and the price of the inspection. I was hesitant to do this because in my mind I had noticed this issue less than a month after install and I did not feel like I should have to jump through hoops like this for to compensated for a defective product. I completely understand if it was after 90 days or something, but not after 3-4 weeks. I got prices from 3 local inspectors and talked to the 2 lowest priced. I ended up going with the middle price which was Mick L. Dale. He sounded very nice and willing to help on the phone. He came out and did his inspection on 3/12/14. This turned out to be a nightmare. First he made a rude comment to my wife while he was there. It then took him much longer than promised to get the report to me. I finally received the report over two weeks later on 3/27/14. The report basically said that everything was installed properly, but that he couldn't reproduce what I was seeing. I can literally take one of my child's small matchbox cars, hold it 4-5 inches above the flooring, drop it, and there will be an indentation. Anyone that knows about laminate should know that is unacceptable. I tried calling him several times with no answer, left voice mails, and never heard back from him. I emailed him several times as well and he only responded to one of those emails. He basically refused to correspond with me to get a resolution. I did complain to his licensing division, but they couldn't directly help me either. Now I find out that Greg is gone so I spoke to Les Colburn on 5/14/14 about the situation. I gave him the overview and he asked if I would send him an email with the flooring inspection report. I sent that and he replied to me on 5/23 that he cannot replace the flooring but could offer me a discount. This is not acceptable to me as this flooring is no doubt defective. On 6/2/14 I submitted a complaint (this letter basically) to the Better Business Bureau (BBB). As of writing this it has been almost 3 weeks and they have given no response. My living room has not been completed due to this situation. I have two young kids who run their toys into and trip over the 2 spots where there is no t-mold. I keep finding more marks in the flooring, it seems like every time we clean. At this point I am completely fed up and my next step is to take this to small claims court. -Matthew Crouch read more

Spent over $3000 on tile and laminate for my latest project.....after the laminate is installed, we notice GLARING differences in the color/finish on the laminate. We return to the store and inform a manager (who promptly says, "it's not my department!") and we have to contact corporate because they don't have the phone number to contact the manufacturer or talk to the manager over laminates. I return the following morning with sample pieces from the project, showed them to the manager of "laminates" dept. and he apologizes and tells me I have to contact corporate to file a claim. I call corporate, stay on hold for 26 minutes to speak to a representative about filing a claim, she informs me the people in the department I need are gone for the day. She then proceeds to tell me the steps I need to follow to start the Claim Process....1st, Hire (yes, you read correctly, for ME to HIRE) a Certified, National Wood and Flooring Association inspector. I must admit, my head started spinning at this point, and steps 2 thru 38 eludes me. Sooooo, I google the national wood and flooring association inspector, find one locally and he tells me $300, to come out and take a look. Needless to say, floor and decor really puts you over a barrel and sticks it to you. I tried asking the inspector what criteria they use to determine if the laminate has a defect and since there was not a dye lot on the boxes, one wouldn't expect such huge differences in the coloring. The inspectors response was, " I can't tell you without seeing it." My fear is if I pay the inspector and he doesn't see the variations as a problem, I'm out of another $300 and still have mix-match floors. I believe floor and decor does this to make it difficult for people to obtain warranties/file claims and frustrate you so you won't bother with the tedious process. Bottom line, IF you purchase, Check, Double Check, then Check again, BEFORE, you install to make sure it's what you want and what you paid for, because it will almost take an act of God, to get floor and decor customer service to deviate from their script!! read more

Just left Floor and Decor in Jacksonville. We had no idea what we wanted and certainly not what we needed. We asked a manager for assistance and he sent the nicest guy ever to assist. His name is Chris Wood and he was amazing. He explained all types of tile, walked us around to see samples, and shared the advantages and disadvantages of each. He quickly diffused our high level of stress and made choosing tile an enjoyable experience. He provided us with cost estimates as we made each selection so we weren't surprised at checkout. As we left, he even gave us a cost estimate for our next project. If you need flooring, just ask for Chris. He is very knowledgeable, has awesome customer service skills, and is definitely a great asset to Floor and Decor!! Thanks Chris!!!! read more

I was contacted extremely quickly, with the situation rectified. The management held up their end of the bargain, unfortunately I still cannot rate the corporate customer service well. This update is for the professionals at this store, who I would recommend to assist anyone with their flooring needs. I ended up purchasing more than $1500 worth of tile for our rental property, with plans to return for natural stone and possibly countertops. The selection, sale prices and ability to store your purchase for up to 2 weeks free make this a better choice for our family than some of the competitors. While I don't find the corporate service to be suitable, the employees make up for it. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! I'm building a new home in Jacksonville and went to Floor and Decor for all of my tile for my showers. I spent 3 hours looking around with a sales associate and ordered all of the items I needed for both of my bathrooms " All in stock " I was told. My total was $2,029.19. Serena was a pleasure to check out with she said pull around back and they will have you loaded in 15-20 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes later truck was loaded we are ready to go until Andrew said we shorted you 25 pieces of the tile for the shower floors! Really? Ok do you have an ETA? Andrew said no! I then asked to speak with the manager Scott Jenkins. Scott do you have and ETA on the shortage items no! I then said well do you have another location you can transfer some in? Scott's reply was you can drive to Sanford! I understand you have problems but as a customer I would have liked a solution. So needless to say I had them unload all of the items I just bought got a credit...... Well I have shopped the Jacksonville location 3 different times and each and every experience has been awesome! Folks have been extremely helpful and have taken the time to work through my indecision and have provided some GREAT suggestions. Customer service is terrible. Asked for help getting some tile from a pallet that needed to be brought down. I was told that as soon as they finished moving some other tile, II would be next. The forklift driver dropped the tile he was working on and 7 more employees that were helping clean it up goofed off and joked around. Waited for 30 minutes and never did get the tile I wanted. I spoke with an employee up front about the loss of a sale before walking out. He could have cared less!! read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! If you don't mind sifting through a lot of garbage for a good deal then this is the place for you. We purchased a lot of travertine tile from them (at a great price) but after going through several hundred pieces we realized only half of it was useable. When we went to return what was almost a thousand dollars worth of garbage they told us we couldnt return it and that everything they sell is "As Is". I'm writing this now a year later mostly because the floor we spent a lot of money to have installed is now forming lots of little holes all over it that are filling with dirt. We were told by an expert in stone importing that we purchased bottom of the barrel quality travertine and that the problem is only going to get worse!!! This is definitely not what we were told by the floor n decor sales lady who now no longer works there. Definitely not worth the savings!! Now we are considering ripping it all out and replacing it with what is clearly a higher quality travertine (which is what we should have done in the first place) Believe me when I tell you, go through a professional tile store with expert staff and pay a little more for quaity. The money saved wasn't worth the headaches!! I'm now talking to a lot of people who experinced the same issues with quality and the ability to return defective product. I have a feeling a lot of the "great reviews" on here are from people who work there!! read more

WOW! Floor and Decor OP is amazing!!! I can't say enough great things about the products, pricing and all the staff we worked with; but most of all the designer Christin was so awesome! Christin knows her products and her line of work very well. She listened to my concerns and was able to bring creative ideas to solve my design dilemmas. I was very excited at the ideas she gave me and can't wait to implement them. While giving me ideas, she also took the time to draw out a sketch of one of the bathrooms where she thought the accent strip would look best. She went above and beyond. Christin is such a warm person with abounding enthusiasm and a genuine love for what she does. She truly has a gift for design and is a pleasure to work with. She is Highly recommend! I'm so extremely happy that I came across the design team at Floor and decor. If you did not know about this amazing service, you should call and schedule your appointment. Back in the spring we bought about $,1500 worth of Aqua Guard from Floor and Decor in Jacksonville on the recommendation of the store salesman that this product could actually withstand a 30 hour submersion in water without cracking or bulging. We installed about 550 sq feet and were satisfied with the look and feel....until we were hit by another hurricane in September 2017 and the floors were submerged for about 4 hours and most of it swelled up and buckled. I called the local store and they told me to contact the corporate office and file a warranty claim. Did that 4 weeks ago and still no answer. So we decided to go back to the local store and spoke to another store manager who immediately said, "that should NOT happen, that flooring should withstand submersion for up to 30 hours without distortion. He suggested I speak to the laminate manager, who quickly dismissed the first manager's comment. He told me to re-contact corporate and file another claim. And even though I had lots of pictures of before and after flooding the manager said corporate would not entertain a warranty claim without a written report from a certified flooring inspector. He told me there are two in Jax and Google them for more information. Did that... and they only charge $400 for a inspection and a written report. So do I throw away another$400 and three weeks of delays and mental anguish or should I cut my losses and go with another supplier? The only thing I can say about F&D is that they have good prices, their customer service after the fact does not exist, any promise they make are empty, worthless and probable borderline fraudulent. In conclusion if you are considering buying anything from these people remember your Latin "Caveat Emptor" let the Buyer beware... read more
