BUYER BEWARE! If I could give this store negative stars I would. This is by far the worst Company I have ever experienced. After long consideration, my Husband and I decided we wanted to remodel our kitchen by installing quartz countertops. We found Floor and Décor prices the cheapest (which we later found out why) so we decided to go with them. We picked out the most expensive quartz offered at Floor and Décor, as we loved the white color with subtle gray veins. My husband and I asked if we could pick out the quartz slabs, and the staff advised us that the specific quartz we wanted all looked exactly the same and we would not need to pick out our slabs. Upon installation of our countertops 1.5 months after ordering, the WRONG material was delivered. The countertop material had huge black tiger stripes throughout, and was also the WRONG measurements! The countertop island material was 3 inches short on one side, and they had placed a seam (which they initially told us since our island was so small there wouldn't be a seam) directly in the center of the island, and the big black tiger stripes didn't even match up! We were furious! Immediately called the store and told them of the wrong material being delivered, only later to receive a phone call stating that the material was within the quartz variations as agreed upon. After back and forth of Floor and Décor wanting to wipe the slate clean and call it a loss, we were already three payments in on our Floor and Décor credit card for an item we didn't even have yet! Not to mention the store manager was completely unhelpful, as I emailed her numerous times and received measly responses days/weeks later. Floor and Décor then offered for us to go look at "our quartz slabs" at two designated fabricators. My husband and I went to both places, and they both stated they didn't carry that specific quartz! This is probably why the wrong quartz countertops was delivered, because the two places didn't even carry our correct quartz material. After long deliberation, they allowed us to pick a material that was close to our original white quartz that we purchased from Floor and Décor. The material looked very similar to the one in the display room at Floor and Décor, only later did they say that the material was actually $17/sq. foot more. RIDICULOUS! This was convenient for them to say, as we had just sent an email a few days prior asking for some sort of compensation for this entire mess. Their response was Floor and Décor was essentially eating the additional charge for the quartz that we had picked out and this was our reimbursement?? LIES! I called the company to ask of the price they charge per sq. foot, as the lady on the phone couldn't tell me the exact number since I wasn't a fabricator, she did inform me that this quartz was not the most expensive one they offer and was a level 4/6 on the price point. They wouldn't even agree to expedite the second measurements or installation of the correct countertops. All in all, this company did nothing to improve customer satisfaction or ensure us that they would take care of this problem. Instead we were countertop-less for 3 MONTHS (kitchen being held together by particle board and bungee cords) and the company could have cared less! Please don't ever use this place for any home remodeling, they have cheap prices but they also use cheap labor companies. Floor and Décor has ZERO customer service and ZERO interest in rectifying any issues caused by them to improve customer satisfaction at all! Save your money and go elsewhere!! read more

Any remodeling can be very stressful and I'm very appreciative that the staff at Mesa Floor and Decor helped us out. Matt and Erin were very helpful on our large order (large for us) and explained how to ensure our order came out successful and cohesive due to tile orders and inventory they had. Fortunately we have enough time and the Matt will help to make sure that things look great. I liked this location best and they had what we wanted in stock after researching online to view. My husband and I love Floor and Decor - for one I can get lost in there all day walking around and looking at all of the beautiful floors and tiles and the staff are super friendly and really helpful especially for novices like we were. Their prices were fair and had a HUGE selection that surpasses Home Depot and Lowes. We have been installing out tile and love the way it looks - can't wait for the finished product! This store made my difficulties of trying to shop for a new floor in a wheelchair EASY, all the employees were more than helpful and respectful, which is not common in a retail establishment anymore. The reason I'm writing this review is to draw atten to a store employee named Don, he more than went out of his way to help us. The hubby has never installed tile before and needed some reassurance and Don explained everything to him on a level he understood, it's rare when you can find such an employee who really cares, Hey head honcho's Don needs to be recognized for his valiant behavior. read more

Pro's: Selection, Price, Friendly employees Con's: Efficiency My wife was in the store and ordered at noon and was told i could pick up in a few hours. I showed up 6 hours later and after having to track down several associates who had no idea what to do (no one was in the pick up area), we finally found someone who discovered it hadn't even been pulled. The whole pick up process should have been 10 minutes and took over an hour. When i went to return the extras, there was only one associate and register in that area. The associate was very friendly and had a great time talking with a couple ahead of me and it ended up taking over 20 minutes simply to return the stock. I also needed to special order a transition piece. There were no pictures in store or online and I was told it was not returnable, so i need to just hope and trust it works. I asked if i could order it online later and they said no problem. That afternoon i tried to order online, but the piece wasn't in the system. So i called the store and was told they can't take a phone order, even though i have a credit card with them on file in a different store (farther away). So now i get to go back into the store to make a special order on a transition piece and wait 2-3 weeks for it to arrive, then, yup, i get to go back to pick it up. Bottom line, they're friendly and have good material, but they are living in the stone age (pun intended) with their process and systems. Not an expedient or efficient process. I have no problem ordering online or via phone w/ the Home Depot. F & D are friendly but don't seem to appreciate people's time. UPDATE the day after all this, i decided to try to order from the 1 800 number instead of driving to the store and i was able to get it done in 5 minutes. I don't understand why the 1 800 number can take my order and payment, but a local store can't do the same. read more

Floor and Decor is a wonderful place to shop for flooring with a large and beautiful selection to choose from, but even better the people who work there are so helpful and knowledgeable. A wonderful man named Tim Mc. helped me select the tile for my bathroom and really listened to what I was needing help with. He spent a lot of time helping me choose the right tile then he was so kind to load it for me escorted me to the checkout where he again was so helpful the pushed the cart with tile out to my car and loaded it for me. I'm 77 yrs old and he made me feel like he really wanted to help me and I was in no way imposing on him. I'm sure he had other things to do. I appreciate his thoughtfulness and warm caring personality. We need more people like Tim in our lives and we need more places like Floor and Decor where the quality is great the the customer service is #1. read more

I love floor & decor and the employees at this location. When doing any kind of project it can be overwhelming! The staff are low pressure with sales and super helpful! I'm just starting a commercial project and completely lost on what to do for the bathroom remodels at my new studio. A young man saw me and must have seen how overwhelmed I was and asked if I needed help. He walked me over to the design center and told me to look around and see what I liked and said there was staff that could help me from there. As I was looking around, a staff member named Dean approached to see if he could help me. He gave me direction and understood that I'm just at the beginning of this process! He walked me throughout the entire store patiently and let me ask all kinds of questions and take pics of the styles I liked. There was nom reassure to decide or buy anything, only the offer to help! I have to say I was very under impressed when we first walked into Floor and Decor. We had a pallet of slate to return and the young man "helping us" really couldn't be bothered. But then along came REBECCA and I will tell you, she wrote the book on customer service!!! We have old slate that we were trying to match and she did everything to assist us; pulling down every pallet we wanted to inspect, calling other stores and all the while keeping such a pleasant and professional attitude!!! Will never be coming here again. I spent 2,000$ on new flooring that was in stock and was told to meet staff around in the back of the store in 30 minutes to load it into the truck. We arrived in the back 30 minutes later as instructed and notified staff that we were ready. 4 cars came after us, received their merchandise and went, and another 45 minutes later, we walked in to notify staff that we were still waiting. Instead of an apology or even giving us a reason to keep us waiting (both would have been acceptable.) I was greeted with hostility and a retort of "there's no way you've been waiting for over an hour!" After showing her my time stamped receipt, she scoffed at me, and low and behold- my flooring was just sitting there waiting to be loaded. An apology goes a long way and had I received a simple "sorry about that!"- all would be forgotten. Too bad I will now be taking our 3 bathroom remodels somewhere else. read more

I'm not someone who gives out bad reviews after just one or two visits to a retailer but after my fourth visit to the Mesa store it became apparent I was not receiving quality service. I had high hopes after entering the store the first time but became a little overwhelmed with the massive amount of selection available. I finally flagged down a sales rep and while we tried to explain what our flooring project was he was patient at first but eventually became distracted by other shoppers. When it appeared we weren't getting anywhere we asked about installation and he pointed to a man walking by and said he was one of their "approved installer's". He introduced himself as Richard Hansen and when we explained our project he steered us to a vinyl flooring product that appeared like wood flooring. After considering the pro's and con's we chose a vinyl product over a wood product. We took the installers info and planned to utilize them for our install. We paid for our flooring and Floor & Decor offered to store our purchase until after we could get the installation figures and required additional items. We scheduled the estimate with the installer "Floor One" and after one of their rep's visited our home, Howard left us with the impression our job of installing a new living room floor was rather small and hurriedly left us with a list of items we had to purchase at Floor & Decor before they would complete the install. The list included various trim pieces, wood trim that I was going to have to paint before they came out and caulking and adhesives. I was not able to decipher the items on the list so we went back to the store ( I live 17 miles away ) and presented the list to another sales rep on the floor and he had trouble understanding what he termed was "Howards chicken scratch". It was so unclear that the sales rep recommended we purchase several types of trim just to be sure they could finish the installation without having to stop the install while we ran back to the store and purchased more trim. I inquired from the sales rep why the installer didn't supply the store with the required additional items so we could just pick the items up with the flooring and he said he wasn't allowed to pull any of the items from stock until they were paid for. He also informed me the store does not take any form of payment over the phone so here we were. So I was required to purchase more trim items than the job required because they couldn't read the installers writing, but I was reminded whatever they didn't use I could bring back for a full refund...as long as it was still in the original packaging that is. I was required to make another trip back to the store to purchase more flooring because we didn't feel we had the correct amount but was again reminded that whatever we didn't use we could bring back. We cancelled the install with this company and will be finding another installer, and if we didn't already find a flooring product we liked we would have returned the product as well...after all thats their big claim to fame apparently. read more

So....I've been looking for porcelain tile (wood plank look-alike) for the past 3 weeks. UGH! I've been in F&D before today, took flooring samples home, tried them and returned them. There were plenty of associates who would stop, ask me if I needed help, answer a few questions and move on. Honestly, they shine at this store in the Customer Service Category! But, today was different. I promised my Hubs that TODAY I would make a final decision on our flooring, as the deadline is literally 4 days away. How was it different?? Matt Emanuel waited on me!! This knowledgeable, caring, well-groomed man, whom I thought must've been managerial, took the time to SOLVE my dilemma!! I explained to him that I've been struggling with pairing my cool-toned kitchen with my warm-toned living room, and had been unable to find a flooring that would happily MARRY the two. He listened carefully, then calmly said, "Can I show you something?" I was more than happy to follow him. I had been looking at 2 samples...one too cool and the other too warm. Well...it was Matt's quick eye that caught the fact that those same two samples were, in fact, ALREADY MARRIED, on a sample at the end of the aisle I was standing on!! How many people would take the time, and feel such empathy for my plight?? I would suggest to corporate, and to any frustrated customers who may be reading this...this associate needs to be promoted PRONTO, DOUBLE his pay and give him the rest of the day OFF...as for my fellow frustrated shoppers...don't waste any more time...ASK FOR MATT EMANUEL!! (But, please...not tomorrow morning, because I need him to finalize my order) If he doesn't have his own store by next year, after he completes the Fast Track Program, I will contact corporate and demand to know why!?!? Btw...I have never met the gentleman before today, but I sure hope they are able to keep him awhile!! Clean store, friendly staff and a very sweet Manager who said she would make sure he was applauded for his service. Sure hope so!! read more

Chris helped me out with getting all my tile from the same lot number, getting the thin set and grout I needed. My wife and I went in to Floor & Decor looking to possibly purchase flooring for a new small home we were having built. We had a ton of questions. We wanted waterproof vinyl flooring at a reasonable price. We met the flooring manager, Ron Knopf, who could not have been nicer or more knowledgeable. He spent a great deal of time with us answering our questions and providing enough information to us that we felt we finally understood materials and costs for our project. I was really impressed with him but I did not buy anything and instead went off to shop competitors. What I found was that Floor & Decor had way better prices than the majority of its competitors and the personal and totally professional service offered by Ron exceeded what I ran into at other stores. I even researched online the flooring product I was considering buying, found I had some concerns and called Ron. He patiently ran through all my questions and concerns and gave me enough information to help me realize that the flooring I was considering was the right choice. I never felt pressured or pushed, just that I was getting solid information and advice based on his many years of experience. My purchase was not a huge one by any means, but the attention and service I received honestly could not have been better if I had spent a bundle. Also, I needed the store to hold on to my purchase for a while until my contractor was ready on the house. I had to touch base with Ron on and off as he held onto my purchase due to delays with my project. He was always happy to talk with me and assist in any way he could. Little disappointed that they didn't have enough product in stock for the wall tile we were looking for, hence the 4 stars. However, their employee, Tim, was extremely helpful and very kind. He was very knowledgeable and willing to help in every way. If you need help with tile, go to Floor & Decore in Mesa and ask for Tim. He will hook you up.
