I am appalled on how someone like that is a manager, let alone is allowed to work here . if you want need any flooring or anything of the sort I suggest you go to ANY other location but this one . It seems like she has a problem with Latinos or Mexicans . I had my family contractor call regarding my order who's first language is Spanish with a heavy accent called regarding the status on my order because I told him to, although he does have a language barrier its never been an issue to get his point across if you have a brain , which clearly she lacks. I have been in this store several times and never had an issue with any other associate from cashiers to designers to some people on the floor etc . there was even one time I did not have a receipt for one of my products and I do understand the policies and a young gentleman in the front with curly hair returned them for me either way due to me having my receipt for all of my other returns and it was only 2 pieces of a mosaic, cause floor and decor is all about assisting customers right?? WRONG !! And from seeing the reviews it is not a first. And I do not know who she feels like but clearly this is not the place for her she has such a bad reputation with the store because when I told my neighbor about this incident who also does tons of remodeling and business in this location he knew exactly who I was referring to which says A LOT . anyways she answered the phone and my contractor was explaining the situation that my order had been in a pending shipping for a while now . she proceeded to HUH!?? One of several flooring stores we have visited lately in our quest to find new flooring. This one is very different. Apparently there are no salesmen that will be there ready to help you or answer questions. It's more like a costco or sam's for flooring and other related items. We looked but didn't really find what we liked and wasn't able to ask anyone questions. We had to go look for someone to tell us where samples were. Hint: they have a box of samples at each type flooring where you can pull one out of an open box and pay 5$ to take it with you and then return to get your money back. This surprised us as we had been given several very large samples to take home at no charge at another store. we will have to go back and give them another look as we were a bit overwhelmed by this after visiting several other stores that day. read more

Review for Floor & Decor on Loop 410 in San Antonio. I did a lot of research before making my list of everything I would need to replace tiles on my pool. First, I headed to the tiles section. Very few were graded as pool tiles. I found some mosaic glass tiles I liked that had the check mark on the tag. But when asked if I needed help, I asked how I should cut them to have half pieces in case they were needed. I waited several minutes and was finally told I needed to use a Dremel -- that a glass tile nipper would be hard for me to use. I thought, "Because I'm a 60-year-old woman?) Before I started tiling, I did more research and due to the tiles being about 1" x 1" they would be easy to cut with a nipper and they were! I had already bought a Dremel at Harbor Freight that I would now have to return. Then I headed to find mortar and grout. I wanted Laticrete Platinum 254. I was told there was none in stock (even though the Floor & Decor website indicated 40 bags in stock). I was told by a worker that I should use another product instead and also gave me a different grout than I wanted and planned to buy. I got home and read the instructions on the bag of mortar. It specifically said it should NOT be used on pools. So trip #2 was making an exchange. The next night when I was ready to grout, I found a YouTube video that warned not to use the grout I had purchased. It dries very fast and it's NOT for beginners. So my third trip back to the store was to return the grout and get the kind I wanted in the first place! read more

Hello neighbors!! I just wanted to warn everybody about Floors and Decor on 1604. They do not stand by their products!! We had a terrible experience a few months back in buying luxury vinyl flooring from them. My husband, although he's not a professional (and it did say on the box you do not need a professional to lay down these particular floors) is very experienced in laying down floors. He could not figure out why the floors would not lay right. The instructions also said that you do not need glue them down-They are a floating floor. After three times of laying them down and ripping them up, we called the company to find out how to return them. They said they will send out an inspector-of course it is their inspector-and they are the manufacturer of the product-who informed us that the floors were not laid down correctly-they should have been glued!! My husband pointed out to the inspector that the floors were defective-they never locked in place. So I guess their solution for defective floors is to glue them in place!! We were then informed that we could find our own inspector. When I did call an inspector she was going to charge a few thousand dollars and we did not want to be out any more money than we already were. These floors were not cheap - they cost us $7000!! Needless to say, they are going in the trash, and we just ordered engineered hardwood from Lowe's-we should have stuck with them from the beginning-we've never had a problem with Lowe's or their products. This store has a wide selection of flooring options with constantly new and updated stock. The prices are fair and often less than other big box stores. My 2 star rating is solely based on the customer service here. I have spent A LOT of time here over the last year and there are definitely pros and cons. Pros- wide selection, great prices Cons- checkout can take forever since they are usually understaffed. Ordering online will not speed up the process as their warehouse is always behind. Expect to spend at least 30min-1hour checking out. The best time to go is mid-day during the week. Also, I cannot emphasize enough to check the product prior to leaving the store. I have had cracked tile, different colors, and have had them load open boxes with no concern of them breaking or spilling out. Overall, if you have the patience and the time to spare, go here. This floor and decor has the best designer hands down. My mom and I went around town even to Live Oak to see what we could do with a dated 1960s bathroom. After many long hours trying to find tile, we finally were able to find some but we could not have done it without the help of Cynthia. Cynthia is one of the design specialists at Floor and Decor off of 410. She is experienced and she knows what goes well together. She also listens to what you want and helps you find the most practical - yet fun design. She is easy to talk to and definitely a huge asset to this place. We bought/ordered tile from here about 2 months ago. We had to order more due to lack of availability in store. They said "maximum 21 days" to receive. They didn't even call us for over 30 days. My husband finally called and they said something about ordering from another store, which is why the order took longer. Received the tile, started the project, only to realize the whites are 2 different colors! They gave us the wrong tile and it wasn't until we installed that we saw the difference. My husband tried calling, asked for a manager. I am still on hold as I type this....for over 40 minutes!! Came in to choose tile and the people there were very helpful and answered every question we had, in addition to greeting us very friendly. When we found the tiles we wanted, we asked to move some of them out of the way to get a full set. Two of the workers helped us carry all the items out to the car and also fill it into our vehicles. They were very courteous. All a great experience! However, the next day we went back to purchase some equipment and the worker in that area was not very helpful in explaining how to use it. Then, we had some issues with the product and the manager was not very friendly in helping us resolve the issue. Although their return policy indicates 100% satisfaction guarantee, they do not take returns on several tiles (due to a new policy) and also machine equipment (as you have to contact the manufacturer). I completely understand these disclaimers if they were actually written somewhere noticeable. When all the cashiers say satisfaction guaranteed and the receipt itself reflects the same language, you can see how this may be frustrating to someone wanting to return items they no longer want/need. Overall, service was friendly if you are choosing items out. Joel especially is a great manager and very friendly and helpful. The employees on the floor also are nice. But, there definitely needs to be better communication about their return policies. We came back a third time to return some other items we didn't end up using and it took about 20 minutes because either the returns were too complicated or needed a managerial approval. Some things that need to be worked on, but if you need well priced tile and a good selection, I'd recommend this store. read more

Ronny was quick to respond, grabbed a cart, loaded the tiles for me, called Dorrian , a decorator, to help with selection of a silicone grout and loaded my car. Both of these men were helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I asked about the manager so I could compliment the two men. Turns out Ronny was the store manager. Our first visit we looked around, a lot of people and hard to find some help and newbies didn't know too much (cashier section). Today, was a great experience. Nikki (sink/countertop section) blew us away. She answered every question we had and even helped give us ideas on countertop choices, provided us further information on all that Floor and Decor has to offer (such as designing assistance)Thank you so much Nikki for your help. I tried every option allowed on their phone message and let it ring anywhere from 3 to 8 minutes. From Operators to Floor tile specialist to Pro Services....NO ANSWER! What is going on at this store? How can you run a business if you NEVER answer your phones? I purchased tiles that needed to be shipped to San Antonio from Houston. They would NOT ship them unless I paid them in FULL. I was told it would take 4 to 10 days to arrive. I´m on a timeline with the Contractor that is doing my remodel. It´s been over 10 days now and I still don´t have my tiles nor can I get anyone to answer the phones at this store! Old showers leak apparently and now we are getting a new one. This turned out to be way more overwhelming than the wife and I thought. Our contractor suggested we go to Floor & Decor and work with one of their free designers. They were fantastic! Helped us come up with a design and even suggested cost saving measures. Also we had already priced at a different big box tile place a tile similar (possibly exactly the same) as the one we decided on and Floor Decor was25% cheaper. Also super friendly and helpful were crew that loaded it into the Rav (maybe not the best idea for my suspension). I will definitely go back for future projects - but I hope I don't have any more leaks! read more
