Floor we found was good, price was good. Made a purchase for about $2000 in flooring at Dale Mabry store in Tampa but since they didn't have enough there, had to be picked it up at Brandon store. When our contractor showed up, they said they sold off the boxes we already paid for. Told him he had to now drive to Clearwater store to pick up the rest and tried to have him pay for it again (that was correct after he argued it). This delayed our project by a day and VERY unprofessional. Would like do know how this happens. Called store many times. This place is massive- it has major selections of tile, wood, granite, etc. They are priced very well also. For new DIYers they are extremely friendly and helpful. Someone spent plenty of time explaining and answering all of our questions. We got plenty of tips and tricks that we never knew. The problem I have is it's a discount place so once they sell out of a product it's gone. They had a sample shower that we fell I love with but the floor tile was gone and sold out at all locations with nothing comparable to replace it- we were super bummed out. luckily we found something that worked for us- now if only they would come install it ;-) overall I'm impressed with this place and it's wide variety of options. My major problem with Floor & Decour, it's finding help. You won't get help unless you ask and when you do most of the time there is not anyone available. Maybe I should make an appointment, I never tried so I can't say. If you do find someone to help you, the people I've talk to were always very, helpful and knowledgeable. The selection is massive, and the prices are amazing on the good side. If you want tile, wood, laminate and vinyl it's all available. Most of the time it's displayed with a huge example of the end product so you get a really good idea of what you will be getting. Oh, if you see a buggy in the parking lot grab it as you walk in, because there's never one available inside. You will need it for all of the samples you purchase. Take as many samples as you like, and when you're done just return to the store, and as long as you have your information entered into the computer you won't need your receipt, as I found out by leaving mine in the car. read more

I parked my car and went in, only to be told I had to drive to the back of the building to pick-up one box of tile. I said, "Then you can't help me." No she said, but they can in the back. I drove to the back, got out and went inside and the person I found said he was busy. Then he tried to find someone and said, "Where's the team?" My email directions were to bring a driver's license and order # w/confirmation. No one ever asked. When someone came to help me, all she wanted was my name and refused to touch or look at my DL. My spouse and I are renovating our bathrooms. We have made a few trips to Floor & Decor and due to the huge selection of beautiful tiles & flooring it was a little daunting to make a choice. One day we were looking at tiles and George, the designer introduced himself. George was a lifesaver! That same day we were able to select all of the tiles for our hall bathroom, which included shower wall tile, shower floor tile, bathroom tile, grout , and tile edging. The tiles are beautiful and what is also amazing is that my spouse and I agreed on the selections. George was not pushy but made us feel comfortable by guiding and educating us on different tiles and color palette coordination. He helped when buying the items by ensuring we received the correct amount of product, picked up the tiles, and aided in pushing the cart. The other associates were also friendly and helpful during our visits to Floor & Decor; always willing to answer questions and give a helping hand. Absolutely the worst customer service. I paid online to expedite the process. I waited for the email saying it was ready. I called to verify explaining I would be in a hurry. So far I have been waiting over an hour and a half to get loaded. The warehouse people smoke cigarettes, talk to each other and are not in a hurry at all. There is a 2nd fork lift that is not being used. When asked to speak to as manager, the girl laughed and said I am the manager...... Didn't offer an apology or anything. Just too bad for your wait!!! Visited this location in Brandon just this morning to purchase flooring for a flip that my husband and I are doing. Terry, the salesman, could not have been any nicer, more patient, or more informative. It's really great that this company does not pay commission, because he spent half an hour helping us find a good quality laminate that was at a lower price point. We found some great tile there, which after measuring out, and using their online tool I went in to purchase, the young salesman, told me 90 boxes by calculating on my square footage, although the online tool told me 93. I told him this, and he wouldn't even double check, so I asked the woman at the register, she double-checked, and it in fact was 93. Glad I asked someone to intervene on my behalf and that I purchased the correct amount before it was gone and I needed more. Then today we went in for a tiling "class", which was a joke. There was no class, there was a person who knew tiling, who talked in acronyms and business lingo at a vary fast speed for a few minutes, then asked if there were any questions. That was the "class". Maybe Home-Depot has a real class, super disappointed with this one. read more

The Brandon store is amazing when it comes to customer service and selection. I have never had a problem returning unused products, so I am not sure why someone is claiming they only accept unopened boxes. Cathleen Camara from the design team was phenomenal. I am an investor that flips houses for living and I used to buy cheap stuff from Home and Decor until my licensed installer asked me to start getting better quality as he got different dyelots which made the grout joints to be different sizes and the tiles had sligh variation in the colors as they dont come from the same batch. I got laminate floor and they don't order ANY STAIRNOSES so I had to drive all over town to find a similar color to the laminate that I bought. The don't install because they don't want to be liable for any installations, therefore, once you install hardwood, laminate or any other material and you have any warranty issues you are ON YOUR OWN. I am doing business now with another company and they offer much better customer service. read more

I am in the process of bathroom remodeling, where I am buying materials and handyman is installing it. My friend recommended me to Floor and Decor. This is my first ever project and I knew nothing about tiles, bullnose, showerpan. Ms. Teressa has been wonderful. She patiently answered my questions, showed me options and helped me make the best for my money. After ordering, I changed my mind (yep as someone told me to not use marble in shower), so I went again. Ms Teressa again patiently went through with everything, and she even told me that I should not feel bad for changing at the last minute, she only wants to see me happy with my new bathroom. I was immediately greeted (in the Brandon store) by a non-pushy sales person. He explained how the store was set up and left me to do my thing. I was impressed by the prices and excited because now I could afford the wood like tile that I wanted. I was taught the differences between ceramic and porcelain tiles, as well as, pressed and rectified, and grout spacing. I spent at least an hour walking around and asking questions, and still no pressure to purchase anything. I walked out being able to make an educated decision based more than just "that's pretty." In addition to the numerous floor and tile options, the customer service has been nothing but top notch. Kim and Alex were so helpful in making selections that were within my budget, and Eneida, Addison, and Dan help to me wrap get everything together and shipped. The staff was incredibly helpful, making sure I had what I needed and gave me options with explanations of the differences, etc. They even accompanied me to my car and help me load it. update on review; the actual store manager (not the duty manager that blew me off) called to find out more and says they are working on changes to improve the situation concerning loading goods. He seemed sincere. So, I upgraded one star to recognize that at least they want to improve. They have a long way to go, but it doesn't seem that hard. Either hiring new or cross training existing employees to work the loading dock when things get behind would seem to be an obvious solution. Will re-review after next trip. read more

We are a contractor and find that it takes forever for anyone to answer the phone. That's after they mispronounce the name of the street they are on. (They have been told about it, but choose to do nothing about it. It's Aaah dah mo, not a damo). Their phone system is ancient and doesn't allow for if a specific phone to be busy and for a way to leave a message- its just keeps ringing onto infinity. Thought this was a business not a mom and pop shop. Am disappointed with front end service. The mdse selection is very good. Too bad you can't talk to anyone to get some needed answers to info, not shown. Might help if box weight was shown so we would know what type of vehicle to bring (pickup only or pickup & trailer to pick up more than just a couple of boxes. read more

While their selection and service have been good, they have a bad habit of discontinuing products without notice. On 3 separate projects the item has been discontinued when I returned for more causing problems for me.In each case plenty was in stock when purchased. Most recently I needed one more box of wood flooring. They found some in Orlando but they dont offer interstore transfer. Quoted shipping was $90 on ONE BOX- almost as much as the item itself. I will drive over myself, and likely never buy from them again. If you do, I would advise buying WAY more than you think you need and make sure its returnable IN WRITING read more

My company spends between $1000 and $3000 a month at this place. My last order was a disaster. I order online because they didn't have it in Stock. I had to pay $200 for shipping so it will be delivered between 5 to 7 business days. My costume was very happy. Nobody called or email me if my delivery was arrived. After 8 days. So I called the store. After 5 hours of calling someone answered. He said he is the store manager. My delivery has not arrived yet. I should call where i ordered. So i call there. Nobody answers there either. Next day i called again. Then the woman tells me it should be at the store next day. Great I'm still on the schedule. I tell my costumer we can start next day. I called the store again. 2 hours later answered. They told me nothing has been ship. The manager told me shipping is free since they can't tell me when it will be here. I told him i paid extra $200 so my oder will be here in 7 days. He changed the subjectreal fas the and i imagen it. He never said free. What ever. I just need to know when it's here. He said call back. So i called corporate. They never answered the phone. Great costumer service. After 3 weeks i talk to my costumers they are willing to change the order and take what they have in stock. I canceled the old order online and ordered what they had in stock. Online it said give them 2 hours so they can get everything ready. Today after 2 hours I went to the store. They told me it's not ready yet. So I waited 2 more hours. Finally I got my order. I checked 1 box and it's has my original order in it. This guy had the nerve to tell me. It's been here since 2 weeks. I am so pissed. All they did gave me my $200 back for shipping since it was free anyway. Now I'm waiting on my refund of $20000 and my refund for the new order. They said 5 to 7 business days. This is crazy. Let's see what kind of hassle they give me about this. I never received an apology or a sorry. Nothing. This place sucks. I guess they make enough money so they don't need mine. 10/07/16 I stopped here to buy a wood floor for my entire house. The product is great. The service had a lot to be desired. From the salesman to the cashier to the pickup experience. This team was more worried about taking breaks and smoking than taking care of my needs. They wasted over a half a day of my time and acted as though I was not even there. I believe the whole crew needs retrained on customer service. I will NEVER buy another item from this location. They messed up my order over and over and over. I'm not sure if I will ever receive, what they said is on back order, that I already paid for. Do your self a favor and go anywhere else but here. read more

Extremely disappointed with the quality of the tile I received. The original entire order of 40 boxes (400 pieces) were shipped to the Brandon store from Savannah in one lot. Several of the boxes were found to be damaged on the exterior after the shrink wrap was removed. The damaged boxes had many tiles that were broken. After a couple of days, we started to open a number of the other boxes and found many more tiles that were broken already or broke when you would pick them up. Also, the veins were completely through the material making them extremely fragile when using a wet saw or even handling them to install. In addition, it was obvious that a lot of tiles were broken or on the verge of breaking prior to ever being boxed and had been (glued) back together or glued to keep them from breaking. I initially returned 7 boxes. Then a couple days later, I had to return 11 more boxes and then after going through the rest of the original boxes, had to return 15 more boxes and then 7 more at the end. Of course, I had to get replacement boxes along the way with each return and the majority of those had issues as well. When the Brandon store ran out of boxes, they had to request some from the Clearwater store (13 boxes). The cashier initially tried to charge me for shipping them between Clearwater and Brandon but the manager (Doug) said that they would not since they had bad product. They were supposed to be sent out on Monday and received in Brandon on Wednesday. I went to the store Wednesday to pick the additional tile up only to be told that the tile never left Clearwater because they only had 8 boxes instead of the 13 requested. No one bothered to say anything or even ship what they had. I then had to drive to the Dale Mabry store to get the 12 boxes they had. I could not wait for any shipment due to the installation being in process. When I got home with those 12 boxes, only 5 of them were usable. All in all, I had to return to the store 4 times to include going to the Dale Mabry store and had to return virtually all of the square footage ordered when you factor in the additional boxes that I had to purchase to replace all of the bad tiles. Three different managers helped me during the coarse of a week with all of them apologizing and telling me that it must have been a bad lot from the manufacturer. Doug and Dan (Managers) told me that they would provide some credit at the end considering all the troubles and poor product. This tile issue cost many lost hours for myself as well as my tile installer. It was extremely frustrating as well! I went back to the Brandon store on 9/23 and spoke with Dan again and return the last of the bad tiles and was told to speak with Paul (Store Manager). I came back a couple hours later and then spoke to Paul who told me that there was nothing he could do unless I bought more products that he could assist with. Obviously, this is not going to happen. When I told him that I was going to file a complaint, he told me that on Monday, he would talk to Doug and also the Store Manager (I was told that he was) and they would call me. That has not happened. read more
