We went there looking for shower tiles, trim and flooring. We probably spent two hours or more, but we found everything. We have all the numbers to our contractor. He went the next week, but they said they were out, even though the computer said they had some. Luckily, the contractor went into their warehouse and found them. Project saved and finished. I is think they schedule most of their help during the day for co tractors, and don't have many checkers after dinner. I only spotted two the night we went shopping. This was the first time I've come to the store and I have to say, it was a good experience. Initially, I walked around looking at different tiles for my bathroom. I liked how the store has all the tiles out to touch to check sizing. They also have tiles separated by material type and color. There are a lot to chose from-I enjoyed the wide selection. I also have to complement and express my appreciation to TJ White. He's the Tile Assistant Department Manager, and let me tell you-he truly does go out of his way to help you with tile selection. I wasn't familiar with all the tile types nor how to go about selecting tile. However, TJ listened to what I was looking for and helped me make my final selection; he even suggested I speak to one of the decorator assistant. We compared their rates to stores like Home Depot & Lowe's and found that the prices were significantly cheaper. In addition, their customer service is outstanding. TJ was incredibly knowledgeable and had great recommendations for us. We are first time homebuyers and didn't know much about installing new floors, but TJ took the time to guide us through it and and help us in every step of the way. This place is the WORSE for customer service! Today was my 3rd visit for our renovation. I was wearing a State Hospital approved mask. F&D had no problem with my mask before today. Today however, two employees got within two feet of my face and angrily told me my mask was not HR approved. I informed them HR handles employees and I'm not one. I'm a customer and I'm wearing a mask. I informed them of my approved masks and pointed out that they obviously weren't concern with this virus as they were 2 feet in front of my face yelling at me. I asked them to please back up 6 feet. One complied, the other didn't. I was wearing a mask and didn't want to wear theirs (especially because their hands were all over it). The manager informed me I was free to shop elsewhere. WOW!!! So, I took her up in her offer. I went home, got all of the tile we had purchased, and returned them! A big Thank you to Home Depot! We wanted new tile in our home and decided to go through their Installation Made Easy people. Got to say the whole experience has been horrible. The installers did a horrible job. Missing grout, installing chipped tile, severe lip issues, left carpet ripped up, left my yard dirty and lots of other issues. I understand they subcontract these out but I wish they vetted them first. Advanced Custom Renovations did such a bad job. We're still fighting over the last bill. I went into the Tempe store to order some tile and other products for our remodel. We had spoken to the store the day before to check for inventory and kind of got the run around as we wanted a large amount all the same lot number. My husband spoke to Jeanne the next day and she was able to locate exactly what we needed. When I picked it up Jeanne was so helpful and so efficient. She went above and beyond to locate the grout I needed. It was supposedly somewhere in the back. After determining it wasn't there she called other stores and placed it on hold for me to pick up. We recently ordered tile & grout from Floor & Decor to tile the floor in our home - almost 2000sq ft. We ordered over the phone and we're told we could pick up within 2 weeks (we could also have it shipped to a closer store - not even our home - for $3000 more! No thanks) After borrowing a huge truck and trailer to haul almost 9000 lbs of tile, I made the hour drive down from Peoria to Tempe. I parked right along the curb and checked in - after waiting in the store with 10 other dudes for 90 minutes, one-by-one we began receiving our orders from 2 forklift crews. The order pickup runs very smoothly and the crews are very efficient - it turns out moving tile is just a huge pain. Recommendation: if you can at all avoid it, don't go on a Saturday. Very happy with the tile, the loading crew, and the experience sans the wait and the $3k price for shipping. read more

Absolutely ridiculous!!! We have waited AGAIN for the second time for our counter top to come in. I waited an hour in the pick up area for them to tell me it is broken (again). For them to tell me they would order it from California and it would come in 1-2 day, lying about the name of the warehouse supervisor, and now them telling me they cannot re order it until the claim goes through. All the while our contractor is about to cancel or contract because it seems so ridiculous the way we've been treated that he can't even believe it himself. I love Floor and Decor, unfortunately the Tempe location is like no other Foor and Decor. The place is about as sloppy as it gets. It's clear the lack of management in this place is a real problem.. I've been do this location 5 times and have made sizable purchases each time.sadly, every experience has been a nightmare from customer service, to wrong product being delivered to my order getting lost, yes lost! of course on my last and final trip ever to this location, waiting approximately two hours for them to pick 300 sq ft and bring it out to my truck. Understandable if there were customers ahead of me but there was not a soul when I arrived. I would highly recommend avoiding tempe location at all costs, drive to mesa its seriously worth the extra miles. That place is clean friendly and runs like a top at all times!!! sorry Floor and Decor, but you need a change in management and a big banner outside saying so because this is a nightmare situation will never walk into again. UPDATE: After 1 day the store manager Steven reached out to apologize and asked for sincere feedback on what they can improve based on my experience. He then acknowledged their shortcoming, apologized and furthermore he credited a % of my total order back to my card, something he didn't have to do. I've changed my rating to 3 stars from a one as I feel it's a fair rating given the whole experience. Floor and Decor Staff has always been a company I've admired as you can tell a lot about a company culture the moment you walk in. Mistakes happen and sometimes the staff needs to be calibrated. Roles need to be defined or redefined for a business to run efficiently. I hope this review does more good than bad as I felt it was an opportunity to improve and hope that bad experiences like mine are minimized in the future. Before I go into depth with my review, I need to tell you how wonderful TJ is to work with. He was super helpful in helping us pick out flooring, tile, and everything that we needed. If you are a newbie to renovations like us or need advice on materials, ask for TJ. He went our of his way to help us and we are very grateful to have met him. We are working on a bathroom remodel and clueless about different tile material, design, etc. We wandered into this store 3 times prior to, always thinking we picked out what we wanted but never feeling confident when we got home. The next time we went in to confirm our choices, I stopped TJ for help. I asked him about the difference between different flooring and shower wall materials. He walked us around to show us what they carried and shares his opinion. He showed us the shower show room area so we can see the different tile that were used. We explained to him what we wanted and he worked his magic. He grabbed different types of tiles and started putting them together so we can see the vision we explained to him come to life. He has a great eye! He also pulled in a couple designers to give us their input. We were shocked and the stress melted away! He totally went out of his way to help us and all with a smile! He also helped us pick the trim and grout, which we had no idea we needed to do. We are so lucky and feel grateful to have met TJ. I ended up buying the tile and backsplash for my bathroom and kitchen here but what I initially came for was wood flooring. I was so excited to find the perfect color at the perfect price but they were out of stock. They need to label their products when they are out of stock. When I came back to purchase tile the staff was less than helpful and I had to wait around for a while to place my order. A few days after I purchased the tile, they called to tell me they sold me more tile than what they had in stock and I was due a refund. However, when I went back to get my refund, no one knew what I was talking about and I was being treated like I had done something wrong, it was weird. But the prices are good and my contractor says it's better quality than Home Depot. read more

We went in looking to get some flooring, Jill helped us out in the front to figure out what we had bought in the past. She radioed a sales consultant in the wood floor department who helped us find the flooring we needed. As we looked around the store we stumbled across some vanities. We had questions amongst ourselves and Melanie (spelling?) was walking by and stopped to answer any questions we had even though she clearly had other obligations. She answered all of our questions and helped us determine which vanity to get and was amazing! We ended up looking at backsplash for our kitchen. We didn't get her name but the female blond associate pointed us into the right direction for grout and thinset and was super helpful! We had a great experience at this location and will be back! Purchased tile at a great price, was so, so excited! Today I noticed a huge charge on my account that I didn't expect. So I chat with Rufus at my bank online and low-and-behold, Floor and Decor had their money debited from my account but failed to release the hold... Sooooo, you gunna get paid twice bro? Being a merchant is simple. You provide goods and services for a price. When you charge a price for said goods/services you do so on on occasion and then walk away, unless more goods/services are purchased. So to charge a guy AND put a hold on the account is just not how this works. Which leads us to one heck of a pro tip! Pro Tip: If you spend 400 bucks and use a card like a normal person, be prepared for them to eat $800 for an unknown period of time. read more
