"To the Dump, To the Dump, To the Dump Dump Dump" They really live up to their name. This place was super disappointing and not appealing to purchase furniture based off their studio. It was honestly quite shocking to witness while looking for some outdoor patio furniture here. After browsing and seeing the conditions their outdoor showroom was in, it was a hard pass! Not only that, the sales team can stand around and approach potentially clients like a used car salesman, but not care one bit about the standards of what they are trying to sell you on?! They are either completely oblivious or are blind to the conditions of their merchandise they're trying to sell. They should be ashamed & embarrassed, there is no excuses for the appearance of their furnishings. We were "in and out" in a matter of time and are thankful learning after the fact- that many customers have had negative experiences from nightmare problems with their products & purchases, to third party delivery services that aren't under contract with the business & aren't insured. Finally; not honoring their warranties and extended warranty coverages. Please do your research before making any decisions about doing any dealings with this business and review their contract details, warranty policies etc. prior to signing or paying up front for furnishings. Do not buy their extended warranty. Better yet, don't buy here at all. Purchased a sectional a couple of years ago with an extended warranty that was supposed to handle any damage or wear and tear to the couch. One of the connecting screws to a sectional piece became loose. Called the warranty company, and they're denyinf the claim. Call The Runo, and they try to help and have me re-word the issue, but they don't know what is not covered and can't help with the warranty company. Called the warranty company back and they said they don't cover manufacturer type defects, and want me to pay for a technician to comenoutband fix the anchored screw. Thisnisnnot what I was told in the sales process. I even stopped in recently asking the store about the warranty and described the issue and they said it would be covered. Purchased furniture May 1st. Was told it would arrive June 6th. No furniture and no call to advise me of what was going on. Tried calling but all calls are forwarded to Virginia. After 1 1/2 hours on hold was told that the Tempe store would call. The Tempe store advised that the furniture would arrive the following Monday. Next Monday no furniture and no call. Called Virginia again and they had Tempe call again. Promote promised that the furniture was on the truck and would arrive the next Monday. Monday, no furniture and no call. This was repeated for 4 weeks. Called Virginia again and was told that the furniture should arrive in another week and that the Tempe store would call and make things right. I waited 6 hours and no call. I finally called back and canceled my order. Now I have to see if there actually refund my credit card. This is without a doubt the worst customer service I have ever seen. They have had my money for 10 weeks now and nothing from the store. Never again. read more

I haven't been to this place in years but remembered it as having a wide variety of high quality furniture from many well known companies. I was very disappointed when we visited recently. The salesperson wanted to walk with us which wasn't giving us an opportunity to look things over. When I asked her not to do this she did drop back a few feet but was never very far away. They had very little bedroom furniture and what they had was not very good quality. It did look like they had a lot of couches so perhaps it depends upon what you are looking for. Buyers Beware! Don't shop here! Warranty is a scam! Quality of furniture isn't worth the price! Spent over $4k on a sectional w/ 5 yr warranty only had it a year & 1 screw came loose from the middle section (as seen in pictures) where the screw fits into sectional interlocking bracket that connects the seats together. We don't have any children so there's been zero rough housing on it. So we're very disappointed with how it's help up for taking such great care & minimal activity on the sectional. It's been exhausting! First we spent over 3hrs going back in forth w/ the warranty company who stated that is a manufacture defect. Warranty doesn't cover a stripped screw into the frame. That this model is no longer sold in stores, so they don't have the parts any longer. How does a warranty not cover this! We even went into the store a few weekends ago to verify that our warranty would cover it and the Rep said he thinks that's an easy fix & if the warranty doesn't we would get credit back in the amount we paid towards the purchase of new furniture and just pay the difference. We drove all the from the West Valley in Surprise. He stated that they don't handle warranties claims in store that we would have to call the warranty company. He printed out our purchase receipt which didn't even have contact to the warranty info but it had our order number. The Rep did state that they no longer had our sectional in stock & would not be selling it any longer. Made us feel like no matter what they will take care of us. The Dump & their scam of warranty took care of nothing. To top it off I called into the store to speak w/ a manager the lady who answered the phone kept placing me on hold a few times to tell me that the manager was in an interview and to call back or text pictures of the issue to the number I called. So I did if that got me to finally speak with a Manager and no response back for 24 hrs when I called & texted again and they responded that they were not open. Still waiting! Please don't waste your time here and get coverage in writing from the sales Rep Roger Boehlow and staff before any purchase from this place. read more

I just moved to the Phoenix area about a year and half ago. I've been to a number of The Dump Furniture stores in other cities. This was my first and last visit to this particular one. Not a very inviting nor comfortable atmosphere. Yes, its an outlet, but still more unkempt than it should be. This particular The Dump just does not have the 'feel' of their other locations in other cities. The inventory seemed a grade below in terms of quality of merchandise and its definitely overpriced making for poor value purchases. To cap it off, the location is not convenient when considering the greater Phoenix metro region. read more

I've never heard of this place but we were in the area and hubby really wanted to go as he has seen their commercials many times. This furniture store is massive with so many couches it almost felt overwhelming. They sell all kinds of furniture but I wasn't really impressed with the quality. The prices are about the same as any other furniture stores and I didn't really see anything I was interested in. Salespeople were friendly and left us alone which I appreciated. My Fiancee and I went here in Black Friday as she had a store credit for an electric adjustable bed that stopped working. She wanted to simply use the credit to get another bed, but no mattress. Definitely not outlet prices! Even their clearance section was crazy highly priced! Aside from the prices being much higher than anticipated, our staff rep was very friendly, but everyone else just wasn't. Especially the woman, young lady behind the service counter helping with the credit that morning. Talking about bad attitude. She just delivered the message, I'm going to be rude and nothing you can do about it. After a bit, she tried to back-track and be nice but "no sorry" you already killed the first impression. There was a tear in back of loveseat I didnt see. If I am paying for a new loveseat, I want it in excellent condition. I had the worst customer service ever. I am in the customer service industry for over 40 years. I'll start off with, I bought 4 pieces of Bedroom Furnitures. I was advised that it will take at least 2 weeks(I was fine with a month... from what I've read in their reviews). I ordered the furnitures on Feb 10, 2025 and it is now March 11, 2025. The 3rd party delivery owner( Just Delivery AZ ..Allen) was so nice that he contacted me and my alternate number to find out if I heard anything from The Dump about my order. He has been communicating with me all day today(March 11) about the status of my order. He's employees went to The Dump to see if my orders were there and they were. However, one of the pieces is damaged and was advised about my options(per The Dump); accept it, get The Dump to repair it or get it reordered. Since the damage was at the back of the dresser, I was fine that it gets repaired. I asked since it will be delivered at another time, I asked who will be paying for the delivery charge. I was advised to contact The Dump and ask. I called and talked to Maribel and told her the entire story from communicating with the delivery owner, his employees(who are at their business at the time) about my options and I wanted to go with them repairing the damage. But my concern was who will be pairing for the delivery fee. Maribel got frustrated, changer her tone of voice and became very defensive. I told her that she sounded frustrated and that she needs to listen to my concern. Since she wasn't listening I asked her to escalate my call and speak to her Supervisor or Manager and she denied it and hung up. After this interaction with Maribel over the phone, I decided to cancel my entire order and that they lost a business. read more

My first experience at the dump I was racially profiled by one of the sales lady. The manager and store manager were very nice and understanding. Sat me down and talked to me and listen. I believe this person been doing this to a lot of people and racially profiling the customers. This was at the Tempe area, please be advised the store manager or the manager don't play about racism. We selected a leather sofa recliner exactly 2 years ago with a 5 year warranty with the needed coverage for leather is peeling normal I don't think so. Jim was great! He literally jumped up and ran to assist me as soon as I walked into the store with a warm greeting and great personality. Jim took the time to walk me thru the entire store explaining different items offered. I am only in the market for a desk and he loyally walked me around through the store to try to help find one that would fit my preference. The store is crowded with goodies including patio furniture. They really do have some nice items on hand. There's plenty of parking onsite. Stop in and ask to work with Jim. He thankfully doesn't pressure ya on things that you don't want which is a perk to stopping and shopping here. ALL the commercials I ever see give the impression that this place has smokin' hot deals on all kinds of furniture. I mean the NAME, come on... I walked in to a massive warehouse of all kinds of furniture. In the front they set up little areas to create pseudo dining room or living room scenarios. But the prices? I didn't find them to be representative of their advertising. Disappointing. If you want to throw down some cash, then they have lots to choose from: couches, bedroom sets, rugs, etc. I, of course, immediately asked where the sales area is. IN THE VERY BACK RIGHT HAND CORNER. There were some "orphan" couch pieces - part of a sectional that snaps on to the "parent" couch so exposed metal, on the side. I found a gorgeous cream colored leather "orphan" - yes natuzzi (which I learned is the highest quality) - for a discount. It had a piece of metal on the end which connected it. For most people, this would be an issue b/c it IS ugly/unsightly. But I would either push that side against the wall or put an end table there. I asked them if they could do better on the price and they said "no" b/c "natuzzi" AND it just got to this sales floor. Manager was cool about it. He informed me that they do want to move those pieces out of there and they don't usually make any profit on them. I came back three weeks? later and that partial couch was STILL there, same price on it. This time, another salesman approached me, not as knowledgeable and immediately told me "I can't lower the price" when I asked him "how much would you accept for it?" I asked him if he could ask his manager about it (not to be a Karen but they're "trying to move these random pieces"). He walked off and came back pretty quickly with a "No that's the best we can do." Okey dokey then! No Natuzzi for me. Long story long: I would not go here to buy quality discounted furniture. As the fates would have it, I found a slightly used stunning blue suede couch SET on OfferUp. And I lived happily ever after. The End. Haha read more

I purchased a rug here and The Dump sold me a warranty against all stains. A year later, my dog had an accident on the rug. I called the warranty company to report the issue. The company didn't respond until 8 months later. A technician who finally came out to clean the stain, said he couldn't because it was too big. The warranty company denied the claim, using the excuse that the stain was too old. Typical insurance company strategy of denying claims in hopes that you don't fight them. The Dump needs to dump their insurance provider. read more

I called my salesperson to make him aware that I have not received my 3-hour delivery window. I purchased a queen mattress. Asked the salesman what the return policy was, and was told 30 days. Went back two weeks later to let them know I was not satisfied, and was told customer service would call. I went to the location a week later to let them know that customer service has not reached out. It is now well over 30 days and it has been a horrible experience to get their customer service to reach out and help... You talk to no one, period! I've gotten nothing but the run around from staff members at the location, and still, nothing is resolved. It was my first purchase, and last, at The Dump... Never again! read more

I purchase a Tempurpedic mattress. Their delivery charge was ridiculous of $150 and when I added the bed they upped the charge to $200. I had my own adjustable base and they had all these reason of why they may not be able to use it. The sales write up took far too long and the 20% restock fee if they deemed the area not accessible for the delivery was again ridiculous. The prices are not that great either. Overall if I wasn't hangry and in my right mind and trying to complete the purchase that day I would have walked out. Don't waste your time. Shop elsewhere The delivery team was great. We set up the base and they built the frame around it and put the mattress. It's the sales team and front office that left the distasteful taste in my experience. read more

If you like being hovered over while you shop by desperate-seeming sales people then you've found your paradise. I've never been in here without feeling like I was a cow in piranha infested waters. I try sneaking around and avoiding eye contact, but it doesn't work. We wanted a mattress and the salesman who cornered us told us he'd "give us some space" to try out different mattresses. I guess "space" meant he didn't get onto the beds with us, but he did follow us around giving us unsolicited facts about each brand. We finally left just to actually get some space. I watched the mattress we liked online through The Dump website. It actually went up in price on the Black Friday "sale". Later in January when the price dropped we pulled the trigger. Online. I wasn't going back in the shop. I'm pretty sure we could've gotten free delivery or some discount if we'd gone in, but it wasn't worth it to me. On the plus side I couldn't find this particular mattress online anywhere else for a better price. And I was able to put our original salesman's name in online when I purchased so he got credit for the sale. We picked up our mattress at their warehouse on Kyrene to save the $150 delivery fee. Luckily our mattress was wrapped in plastic because the place reeked of weed. Employees also all seemed like they hated their jobs. And the process to arrange pickup was confusing (no one called as was promised, when we called they just told us to come whenever, warehouse hours online are not actual hours at all so we ended up going twice, etc.) We like our mattress, but the experience could've been so much better. read more
