I bought some lights for a block being built in my front yard. The wall took a while to be built and by the time I pulled them out to be installed 3 months later we found a couple pieces of glass had been broken on delivery. I ordered two Palm Sisal wall mirrors on 5/22 and they authorized my money away from my account and the count down was on. Nothing, no processing of an order. So today on June 1st I call to cancel if it hasn't shipped as the authorization dropped off and they ran it again, keeping my money away from me but not charging or shipping the item. The order clerk said she wanted to call the vendor to see the status. She left me on hold for over 10 minutes, came back on, apologized, and told me they never picked up. I said "I want to cancel" to where she replied that she will put in a request for the vendor to cancel. Are you running a business or are you just a third party skimming off the top and taking zero responsibility to your customers. I will never do business with these charlatans again. Now I am awaiting the vendors approval to cancel and release my funds which is entirely unacceptable. Be warned, this is just a middle man with no responsibility to people who order off their website. Disgusting! read more

Ordered light fixture in early October for one of our clients. Was told it would ship mid October. Didn't hear anything from them until I called to inquire about the light not arriving, they claimed I should've got an email but admitted they were updating their systems. Was promised it would ship by Oct 27th and then on Oct 27th got email it would ship Nov 1st. Nov 1st came and got another email it would ship Nov 11th, our client told me to cancel the order and we will no longer recommend Lamps Plus to any of our clients. read more

I was interested in a floor lamp and it's not a purchase one makes often. I had shopped at Lamps Plus in Chatsworth over the years and was always impressed with their store. I went to the website, found a lamp I liked and was going to pick it up and they didn't have it in stock but could ship to me. But I wanted to speak to a human being. My online inquiry was returned via text (my choice) by sales associate Michelle Pan. Her initial text was friendly and informative and we made a time to speak on the phone to finalize the order as it gives the "store" credit for the sale, which I fully support. She contacted me at a mutually agreeable time, made the transaction happen smoothly and efficiently and I should receive my new lamp in the next few days or sooner. I am writing this not about the lamp but Michelle's excellent customer service. Swindled! The sales person emphasized the two large additional free pillows that came with the sofa. The pillows took up the entire back and when I tested the sofa, masked the creaky sound that echoes through every time someone sits down. Very disappointing and their policy doesn't allow for returns or exchanges. I should have known something was up, but unfortunately, I fell for it. I live in Fountain Valley, and my closer location of Lamps Plus is Laguna Hills. I bought my mom and pop a lamp here as a Christmas present this past Christmas, and they love them. They have so many different lamps and non lamps to purchase here for your home, office, or anywhere you need to put one up. Lots of parking in the front, except, do not get caught parking in other business zones. They are in a heavy shopping business area, just minutes away from the Northridge Mall. Service is good here. This is the place to go for seeing and feeling quality light fixtures for interior and exterior. Poor selection at the store; the majority of lighting products are their own brands and appear to be cheap quality compared to other sources for lighting such as Home Depot, Lowes or IKEA. I made a few small purchases and now cannot get them to stop mailing me mailbox-clogging thick catalogs EVERY MONTH. We were having a hard time finding an attractive fan without a light, and they had the most choices in town. What's really amazing - our beloved fan stopped working after four years of constant use and Pramod was able to diagnose it over the phone and provide an in-stock replacement part same day. Michelle was great help and gave me and my guy the best service. They also had a sidewalk sale in their parking lot and we got a fire pit for $55! We walked to the back of the store to their "outlet" and there were so many great items (lamps, clocks, assorted decor) with really low prices. I got a lamp that you wold easily pay $150 for only $30! And it was in excellent condition. We ended up buying more than what we had come for but, to top it all off, they loaded our car for us, too. Lamp Plus's Sales customer service are professional and kind. They know their products are willing to help you through the purchase process. I visited the store twice lately. I always purchase at least an item since they have a variaty of products to choose from such as fans, lamps, mirrors, furniture and many other items at a reasonable price for inside and outside of your home. My last purchases were three lamps for my desk work area and a fan. I asked Lamp Plus Manager to have the fan install and he informed me that I would be received an extra year of warranty by having it install by Lamp Plus installers. In addition, Evelyn, the Lamp Plus installation dispacher was very helfull in getting me an appointment for my fan installation. The installation of my new fan went great and it looks beautiful. The installers Vano and Robert were very professional, provided me with their arrival time, they arrived on time for the appointment, they were very cautious in my home by wearing masks and booties.
