    Lucinay Granite

You won't be happy, Lucinay will make sure of that…read more I had to go with the granite people my builder uses, which is Lucinay. I didn't get to pick my slabs (I've always been able to pick my granite slabs with three other builds). Lucinay was told by the granite supplier that I didn't want any slabs with weird marks or stains. Everyone assured me I wouldn't get any slabs with stains. Guess what?!?! There is a quarter size black stain on my gray granite right at the front edge of my bathroom sink!!! They could have positioned it in the back where it would have been covered by the backsplash, but noooo....they put it right out in front and center. Jerks. If that's not bad enough, my island in the kitchen is not level, so eggs, pens, etc go rolling off the edge and Lucinay told my builder the biggest BS story - that there is a Lb industry standard that's they can be off level by as much as 1/4" across the width of the granite and mine is off by 1/8" so they won't fix it. So, my dream kitchen that I put all my extra money into is now a nightmare because my island, where I do most my food prep, isn't level. Don't use this company. They are incompetent and you'll be unhappy after spending thousands of dollars. I will happily change this review to a positive review if they come level my island. Until then, I DONT RECOMMEND using Lucinay.

We found a really great piece for the master bathroom and also another piece for our hall bathroom. This helped cut down on the cost and when they were installed they were absolutely perfect and beautiful. But where they really proved themselves is when they took the two expensive slabs that we bought elsewhere and turned them into some of the most beautiful kitchen countertops you've ever seen. Along with the countertops we also added a 5 inch tall back splash of granite in the kitchen. What amazed me was how well they lined up the flow of the organic material as it flowed along the countertop into the backsplash. This was our greatest concern that in fact it would contrast instead of complement the organic flow of this gorgeous stone. But as you can see they did not disappoint and got it perfectly right. These are true craftsmen who do the job right and they certainly impressed me. Keep in mind fabricating granite countertops is expensive but their price and their workmanship are both fair and excellent.

We replaced our entire house flooring with LVP from Johnson's fine floors in October, and I want to…read moreprovide you with a straightforward and honest review from start to finish. Selection: They have a great selection of in stock and quick ship products that met our needs. The floors are durable and we have not had any problems thus far with scratches or denting. Pricing: My biggest recommendation if you are unfamiliar with all of the added costs of installing LVP is to ask for a full itemized quote prior to making any decisions about who to select. Mike let me know upfront the cost was $3 sq/ft to install and $5 sq/ft for the product. So I took the square footage of my home and multiplied by $8 sq/ft. I was about to place my order for product, but asked for an itemized quote to have on hand for reference. I was shocked when I got the itemized quote that had additional fees including about $6,000 for demolition, fees for a dumpster, fees for leveling compound ($60 per bag and it was used for the whole house without communicating to us prior the need for it), etc. Just be aware a full house flooring project is way more expensive than the $8 sq/ft you may be thinking. Timing: Mike was able to get out to our home quickly to measure and the project was able to start on time the day we closed on our new house! We needed this as we were on a tight schedule. Installers: There is no oversight from the flooring company during installation. For the price paid, I expected Mike or another high level associate to come by the house to inspect the work done. Instead, I had to make multiple calls to Mike to fix sloppy work done. Only about half of my requests were actually fixed. I had the installers come back multiple times and finally gave up as they speak very little English. At this point, I feel Mike should have stepped in to ensure the job was done well. It was also evident the installers lacked the correct tools to lay the flooring around curved edges or toilets. They only had a miter saw, not a jig saw or circle saw. The installers remove toilets, but do not reinstall them. So, when I went to reinstall the toilets, there were huge gaps of LVP, which looks so tacky and cheap. When I addressed this with Mike, he said they would ensure the master bathroom was done correctly as they hadn't laid flooring in that room yet. It wasn't. So I reached out to Mike months ago to fix this and he said he would send someone out asap. To this day, no one has been sent and it looks terrible. There are also planks that are not fully engaged and they simply shoved caulk in to remedy the problem. This is very problematic for a bathroom that you do not want moisture seeping through to the subfloor in. Additionally, when you walk up and down the stairs, the stair noses feel loose and not secure. Lastly, even though they used leveling compound that we had to pay an extra fee for for the entire house, there are boards you walk on that feel hollow underneath, which shouldn't exist if the compound was laid correctly. Communication: There was a lack of communication during the installation process that was unprofessional. I went to look at the house after work and noticed only one small bathroom had been laid all day. The project was supposed to be done by the end of the day, yet half of the upstairs was missing flooring. I had to reach out to Mike to figure out what was going on. When I did, I was informed they ran out of flooring and had to order more and they could come back next week to finish. As a customer, I feel this should have been communicated to me. I shouldn't have to ask for an update like this especially when a week long delay is in going to occur. All in all, I would proceed with caution and make sure to ask every question prior to selecting this company.

Our builder uses Johnson's as their flooring and tile subcontractor. One expects a correlation…read morebetween price and quality. Johnson's has high prices, but low quality. They would not produce itemized pricing. That lack of transparency was a red flag t us. If we had a choice we would have selected a different vendor. The wood flooring is fine, but the tile is anything but fine. They installed tiles that were cracked, they used this cheap metal edging that looks awful, they didn't wash the grout away from the tiles and we had to have it chipped away, tiles aren't all level and the grout....it's cracked. They "repair" it. It cracks again. One expects some cracking with settling, but its in the extreme. Our most expensive tile was in the master bathroom. It is just poor quality. White tiles with white grout left unprotected during the build. Mud and dirt turned the white grout, brown. Did they fix this before we moved in? No. We had to make them keep returning to clean grout. First they acid washed it. That didn't work. Then they stained it using a grout stain/paint. Our shower still has a brown look in the grout because the grout lines are too narrow for the stain. Unfortunately it wasn't just the master bath with this issue. It happened in all baths. We can't in good faith recommend them given our experiences.
