I honestly cannot fully tell you what I think of this business because I have not had any services or purchased any supplies from them. I am just reviewing this specifically because of, Marina. Marina...oh goodness. Where do I even begin? We LOVED her. She was so welcoming and very personable when my entire family with kids in tow, visited to look for flooring, cabinets and countertops. They have a good amount of selection for as small as the shop is. Marina, was amazing. My kids wanted to go back just so they could talk to her. She was very animated and gave us some ideas on pairing countertops with cabinets. Because of Marina's wonderful personality, hubby and I were able to go through a lot of material, instead of having to listen to the kids complain about leaving already. They didn't want to leave. . I'm talking, floors, walls, lighting, bathrooms, new kitchen, all new doors, new hallways cabinets and more. The store manager is a true southern belle Marina. Her taste and knowledge will help tremendously in your decisions. The project manager, Carlos is who gets it all done. Hes there every single day to insure the job is being done right. He calls every night to let you know who's coming the next day and what time. They have never missed a day. Any glitches are taken care of immediately. When all is done he spot checks all areas and only with your 100% approval do you make a final payment. We went to several Bathroom Remodeling companies before we chose Floor Gallery. From the minute we made contact with the personnel we felt most welcomed as well as their interest in listening to our thoughts before they started to make recommendations. The designer, Marina, worked well with us in making suggestions that aligned with our thoughts. The owner, Mark, joined in at one point to offer his help. It appears he may have been a contractor at one time in his career, which helped us understand the actual steps in our renovations. We made our decisions and moved forward with the timing to start and complete. They were competitive with their estimate. The construction team members were Professional, understood their jobs, arrived on time, and cleaned up before departing for the day. The Project Manager, Carlos, visited us several times to insure the work was being completed as designed and that we were satisfied with the process and work. The workmanship was impeccable. We were especially impressed with the man that did the Ceramic tyle work on the shower and flooring. Every team member, electrician, plumber, etc. knew their job and did it well. They actually finished two days earlier. It has been 2 months since the completion and we are loving it even more. We highly recommend this company. A hidden gem in Mission Viejo, with a wonderful selection of tiles to choose from. Marina does a great job finding what you are looking for. She has a great eye and knows what will work. We shopped many tile places and could only find something we sort of liked, so we brought it to her and she knew the perfect tile that would work for us! Carlos did a wonderful job handling the installation at a great value, and timely. I plan on using them on our next project. read more

These guys are very good at selling but not reliable at doing the work. While we had so many delays in the work we asked for an explanation or a more accurate estimate of time. We had rented a temporary housing with our two toddlers for $1,500/week during the construction but unfortunately we're keep extending it because of the delay in work. Poor management and lack of responsibility from these guys cost us more than $12,000 in just rent. Not recommend these guys. read more

I wish I could give a zero star to this shop!!! STAY AWAY from these people! Very rude attitude and poor customer service! My husband and I walked to this store on Saturday morning as we were trying to match our living room floor tile with a sample that we had. At first the lady seemed very nice and friendly and asked us about the tile info and timing. Since we were in a very tight schedule, we asked if they could check the availability first thing on Monday morning and she promised that she could do that very early morning around 7 AM since the Sales Manager comes in very early and can get a hold of the order. On Monday morning my husband called them to follow up and they said we will check the stock and get back to you in 20 minutes. She didn't call us back until noon. After so many follow ups they asked us to bring a check for $280 for the material otherwise they will not proceed with the order. My husband asked them if there is any other method if payment like Wire transfer, Venmo, Zelle, ... and they said no! Since we were so buys that day we escalated the issue to the store manager (Rita) and she agreed that it was their fault not to do the paperwork/payment on Saturday. However, for a $280 cheque she called my husband 3 times within 1 hour and mentioned that there is no other method for payment and we have to go in person to deliver the cheque. I'm currently 8 months pregnant and since my husband was in a meeting, I had to drive there for 35 min to deliver the cheque. Once I got there, 2 of the women employees were yelling at me that we did you a favor to process the order with no payment. It was around 2 PM and I told them if you had trust, we could have just bring the cheque when coming to pick up the materials at 4 PM but she insisted that WE NEED THE PAYMENT NOW and it's none of our business that you are pregnant or your husband is busy. (Not sure what they possibly could have done with $280 in that 2 hour window) Besides being very unprofessional when dealing with a new client, I believe these people don't have a sense of human. We had the contractor scheduled to come on Tuesday to install the tiles otherwise I would have never bought from them! ZERO STAR RATING!!! read more

We have had our floor and our kitchen remodeled using Floor Gallery. On both occasions we were very happy with the work. Their guys are experienced and courteous and their cabinet guys are the best. The floor job was to change out carpet for tile in all the living areas. We also had to have some demo done on existing tile work and the result is amazing. We returned to Mark for our kitchen. He worked with us to make sure what we wanted fitted in our budget and we were able to choose the back splash and quartz counter that we really wanted all within budget. The work was done really well, the electrician was great, the plumber was great and he could move our water lines out of the slab and add an additional one all in one day. The cabinet guys were the best, they worked with me to fix issues as they arose, they came up with magic solutions to how to accommodate some of our house short comings and built us a draw under the stove top (making it half height) which is what we need in our small kitchen. The tile guy did a wonderful job with the back splash doing 45 degree cuts on all the edge tiles around the window, it looks great. Couldn't be more pleased with the final results and would recommend to everyone. read more

My husbabd and I added a large island to our kitchen. Mark Hamilton of Floor Gallery helped us design a way to move walls, plumbing,and electrical to accomplish this great layout. Mark designed the island with beautiful granite. His crew (especially Paul) were knowledgeable, experienced and trustworthy. Mark (Floor Gallery) was recommend to us by two neighbors that used him previously on large renovation projects. I only use contractors that are referred from friends, family or neighbors and Mark Hamilton did an excellent job! We liked Mark so much we even had him do tile flooring in our guest bathroom and laundry room. This wasn't planned work, but we trusted Mark's crew to do a good job, and they did! I promised my husband if I got an island in our kitchen that I would cook more. Now he and I are both happy (I got the island and he gets more home-cooked meals!) First, I would never recommend these guys to anyone! I gave one star only because it is required to click on at least one star. We hired Floor Gallery because of their reviews and their proximity to our home, but we were left disappointed! We were promised to have our project completed in 16 days, it took them over 2 months to complete the job!! The problem was poor planning, timely ordering of materials and using the same guys to do all (jack of all trades, but master of none!). Mark, the owner, did not plan properly for getting our remodel done right, one of the reasons was that he did not show up everday to check on the work that was being done and making sure the work that needed to get done was getting done right and timely. This would have given him the knowledge to know what matrerials were needed to be ordered next and when. An example was Mark last minute realized he needed to order our windows to match the ones we had upgraded to on the rest of the house, he ordered them and was told it would take 15 days to receive them! This all while the project stood at a stand still, when they could have continued to complete the job up to were they needed to install the windows. There were days where no one showed up to work, it wasn't until I called Floor Gallery to see why no one was here working that I would find out that no one was schedule to be at our house because they were at another projects!! I had to be the contractor to keep the job going, Mark would show up whenever he decided to, usually when we were not home! His own guys would ask me what needed to get done and how! The same guys that did the demo installed the plumbing and electrical - yikes!! The plumbing had to be redone by the plumber who was visibly upset and asked me who did the plumbing. The electrical is a concern, his jack of all trades installed outlets in and around our sinks, outlests that were not to code - GFI. I had to tell Mark why he had his guys install a regular outlet intstead of what code calls for - GFI, he looked surprised - I said this is just another example of how you don't manage your jobs and see what is going on!! The framing, drywall and texturing around one of our windows and other walls was horribly done, Mark even said he was embarassed about how it was done, I again said, its because you were not here to supervise your jack of all trades doing things they are not good at. A few days later one of Mark's better painters stopped by to look at what needed to be done to correct the framing, drywall and texturing. The guys came in and looked at what he needed to do. He was upset that Mark told him it should only take him a couple of hours to fix the mistakes, The painter told me it will take him at least a day and half to fix it correctly. He let me know that he would need to talk to Mark and would have to schedule the day and half. A week later a different guy shows up and takes a day and to leave it pretty much the same as it was!! Mark never came back to check if it was corrected!!! These are only a few of the issues - there were more - a lot more!! The only positive was the professional tile guys that worked in our home. They were efficient, procise and clean - everything that Floor Gallery is not. The tile guys work is what makes our remodel barable. I had a very specific look I was going for, using two complimentary tiles, and I was having trouble finding a pair that would work together. We waited 35 years to have our kitchen remodeled. In researching the project, we spoke to half dozen contractors. Half of those spoke of 'out of state cabinets with a better finish.' This included the Floor Gallery'...we didn't realize, until the cabinet boxes arrived, that 'out of state' = made in China! We would have liked more honesty in the source of the cabinets so that we could make that choice ourselves. In less than a year, the finish started chipping off on the edges behind the handles. It took 3 months, 4 visits to the Floor Gallery store and 2 emails with photos...to get a response from Mark Hamilton, the owner. We were told the finish was chipping off because of fingernails. This is a home with 2 retired people, light use...my fingernails are soft, and shorter than my fingers. We were shown that the same thing was happening to the demo cabinets in the showroom. Why weren't we given that information before we chose cabinets? This would, of course, have affected our choices. Now, our 'new' kitchen has damaged cabinets which Mark said to hide with a touchup stick. Not a compromise we would have made. We still have 3 bathrooms to renovate ...and, we don't know if we will do them. Unfortunately, it seems you have to dig up all the information on products yourself, compare, and hope you've discovered problems before you choose and have work done. We need a contractor who will give us 'the scoop' and advise pros and cons of products. Another bit of advice: Cabinets...if you have a cabinet with no back and you choose one with a back, you will lose depth. If you choose prefab cabinets and you put 2 next to each other, you lose about 2 inches between cabinets. Drawers are great, but mix it up...we lost space for tall items. Be aware that if you choose e.g. a 12" drawer, you really only get 7" of open drawer space. We love the corner carousel cabinet, very useful. We like the general look of our new kitchen, but it's a shame to learn so much...after the fact...and then to have to live with it. Good luck! read more

He was always helpful and accommodating. I told him what I wanted, he made it better. When I came to design crossroads, he gave me solutions. The crew of the Floor Gallery was amazing. They were nice, respectful of my home and family and very professional. Don't ever use this guy! His advertisements say he uses his own crew and never uses a third contractor to do his job. What bull! He brought in guys into our house that he never worked with before, they worked for a couple days and then left! He finally admitted that he's never worked with them. They did such a horrible job that he had to rip everything apart and start over. The only reason we let him come back with his "original" crew was because he agreed to do it for much less and throw in a shower door. Well, guess what this shady "contractor" decided to do after the job was done? That's right, he went back on his word even though we had 2 witnesses and took us to court! We ended up winning of course, but wasted our time, had to bring my kids into court because I didn't have a sitter for them. It was a nightmare. And the worst part was that our bathroom is still messed up! They never screwed down the drain cover so every time you're in the shower, it flies off! Horrible job and horrible man. Never ever use this guy. Pay twice the price somewhere else. No price is worth what he promises. This guy has no idea what he is doing. From his failed home building company to his lack of basic math. Test what I saying by asking what wood types require oil or how to install a cabinet. Excellent service, we had them renovate our 30-year old kitchen and two full baths. They worked with me over several months prior to my making the decision to contract with them and we were very satisfied with the outcome. We had some hiccups along the way, as all construction projects of this size and duration would be expected, but throughout they were cooperative, communicative and the results were terrific. Over about a 6 month period, I did my homework, shopping the big box home improvement stores as well as other competing providers, obtaining quotes/bids (some of which I had to pay for). From my homework, I found that Floor Gallery's prices were reasonable and they were insured plus possessed a valid GC license (that's so important!) The work went on virtually continuously, although it did end up taking longer than originally anticipated due to some hiccups in materials delivery (the vendor's issue at providing incorrect materials, not Floor Gallery's). Sam is terrific to work with, very professional and accommodating. Mark was excellent in making sure that the construction was completed to order as well as making adjustment where needed when on-site conditions warranted. I must say Floor Gallery does a great job. They remodeled both of our bathrooms and replaced about 80% of our carpet with hardwood floors and the balance with carpet. All of the work was the best of quality. Especially around the fireplace hearth where I wanted to lay down audio wires for a surround sound system which they accomodated beautifully into the hardwood floor. The bathrooms came out beautiful. The tile and grout work appears to be artisan-like and when they replaced a old window in the bathroom with the leaded glass window I had chosen it looks great. One issue with the stucco on the outside of the house was an issue. This happened when they had to remove the aforementioned window and replace with the new one. When I mentioned the issue, they sent Leo out to do the work. He even brought out the young man who had done the stucco that had issues to retrain him. Leo was a master at this kind of thing and you could not tell the new stucco from the stucco that was put on the house several years ago. Also, ±I decided to combine two small rooms in order to create a combination den, music studio and office. They removed the intervening wall and installed hardwood floor and the wall work was great. Even creating a high shelf in the cathedral ceiling part of the room for books.... put in french doors in the room with highlights on either side... turned out to be such a cool room to rehearse my music..
