We were extremely happy with AR Flooring from start to finish! We had to move from real hardwoods to engineered and had a hard time finding something we liked. We described what we were looking for and they ordered additional samples until we found what we were looking for. We had to replace 1500 square feet (our entire main level) and they did demo in one day and install in the 2nd day. They went above and beyond and sent a cleaner to come in after to clean up all the sawdust from the demo. We spent over three months researching engineered hardwood floors, and talked to and received quotes from 4 local businesses before we found AR Floors. The difference between Andres's quote with any of the other offers stood out like night and day. First and most importantly, Andres came out and spent over two hours looking at the work to be done, talking with us, and explaining all the possible issues that could come up. He was completely transparent, eager to answer every question we had with clarity and sincerity. Other contractors came out and did a rush job of measuring, threw out some figures and some with more extensive quotes than others, and there was always the possibility of a change order that could substantially increase the price. None of them clearly explained what needed to be done or what might be needed to be done, and none of them used their own staff-everything was hired out to one of their install teams. What made Andres's offer stand out way over any other was that he clearly explained everything that had to be done, or might have to be done, since doing wood flooring can open a number of issues that can crop up along the way. His quote, while slightly above our other offers, was the only all inclusive quote that would not include any change orders-every possible issue was included and he was willing to stick to his quote even if the job had issues along the way. This was especially true for our stairs. Andres also has his own crew and he is on site at the job, not spread thin doing multiple jobs at once. This means he will finish your job on time, and not stretch it out due to another job somewhere else. We were so comfortable with Andres after two visits, we decided to allow him to do the work while we were out of town. If any issues came up, he said he'd call or Facetime or send photos to discuss and explain. We were gone a week and one minor issue came up with the stair installation, which we resolved easily by phone and text. The crew left our home immaculate and clean, as if nobody had been there. They even moved a piano for us without any extra charge. Our neighbors remarked how immaculate and clean they were and covered all our furniture to prevent any work dust from covering things. The work and craftsmanship show in every way, and it's obvious Andres takes great pride in his work. He is experienced, courteous, very organized and well connected which made him an excellent project manager of our remodeling projects. The AR team just finished a 2 week job replacing the floors throughout our house---completed it on time and as described. The initial bid Andres created was detailed and a great road map for the work ahead. Andres made several suggestions that saved us both time and money, for which we are most grateful. I loved one particular tile from Arizona tile which was great because it is one of Andres vendors! Andres and his team did a truly professional job, yet again, on my new bathroom. This is the THIRD job they have done for me. Tiling the large balcony was done well. The first bathroom was pretty routine, tile floor and glass railroad tiles for the walls behind the toilet and clawfoot tub. But, this final bathroom job was more challenging. It's a room including a toilet and 4 x 5 shower. He quoted me a fair price for the job, but the layout of the tiles I gave him was difficult. Lots of angles for the grout lines, and two shower seats built into corners. They did everything from the floor up - built the base, hot mopped, floated the walls, readied the ceiling for tile, and did a fabulous job on the tiling - difficult since the walls were no where near square. He has a clear sense for the needs of the other contractors involved with the project as well. Obviously I would recommend him again to anyone, since I have TWICE to myself! read more

I wish could give AR Paints & Flooring 6 stars!!! I cannot express how pleased I am with this company and their services!!! I had some serious baseboard damage compliments of my two large, unruly dogs and needed it repaired. The first problem was that the baseboards were custom and not sometime you'd find in stock at Home Depot. The second problem is that it wasn't that big of a job (only 5 damaged spots). I tried calling several other companies/repairmen (which I also found on Yelp) without any success (too busy, too small of a job, etc.) until I found Andres at AR Paints & Flooring!!! Immediately they were responsive to my request and Andres came out to check out my damaged baseboards. He was incredibly helpful!!! He had to get the replacement boards custom made just for this job (he took pictures/measurements and went to a baseboard manufacturer that he works with) and even had paint made up to match what I currently have. To top it off not only was Andres easy going and a pleasure to work with, he is also a very honest and generous individual. I initially agreed to a quoted price, but later he came back and said that it's going to be even less expensive than he originally determined. Wow!!!! What a guy!!! The work ended up being a bit more extensive than we had thought but instead of increasing the price, Andres just billed me the lower quoted one. Seriously!!! When do you find such honest businesses??? The workers showed up on time, were polite and very good at their trade. The results were fantastic!!! I couldn't be happier!!!!
