John Schrab and his team are master tile and stone crafters with outstanding service and attention to detail. We got down the path with purchasing beautiful handmade Moroccan zellige tile for full-wall backsplash kitchen before we realized how specialty the install needs to be handled. We needed a bonafide expert with experience in this delicate and intricate tile work--it is thick like brick, unique and variegated in size and color. Every element needs a thoughtful and discerning approach. We found John and Bellisimo and I never had to worry once during the entire process--which is a gift itself. The expertise and care they demonstrated through the course of our project was absolutely the highest quality and standards. They also installed another specialty patterned mosaic ceramic tile up another wall. And they again carefully laid out every piece, and crafted the perfect design and flow. The finishing touches, like NOT using a schluter on the end!!!, above and beyond. Our kitchen is breathtaking and the tile work IS the showstopper...thanks to Bellisimo. I will post pics. Also quality knows quality, and John has referred us to other excellent contractors and crafters. Very professional and detail oriented... very complex herringbone pattern with a window ledge... looks better than expected!!!

I've been in construction my whole life. My dad is an architect and I grew up around all the different trades that go into building. When I remodeled my house there was only one guy to talk. John Schrab. My house was a MESS. I bought the home out of foreclosure. The slab was cracked, uneven, and out of level. There was nothing right about the slab. To top it off I wanted 18" tiles set at a diagonal. I also needed countertops for my kitchen. John came in and leveled out the slab, which was no small feat. If a contractor tells you its impossible and you need to redo the floor, what he is really saying is, "You should call John." The floor came out perfect. I mean P-E-R-F-E-C-T. The crazy part is that floor wasn't the best part, it was the granite slab. We used Verde Butterfly granite slab. I've seen Verde in other homes where the joint at the corner was "pretty good". Those are the kind of joints you can't see unless you look. John's is the kind you can't WHEN you look. Again, it is literally P-E-R-F-E-C-T. As time has proceeded, clients have opted not to use John because "he isn't the cheapest". I have used John's work in my kitchen against them time and time again. I've had contractors accuse me of having a solid slab (ridiculous). Once I get out a light and a magnifying glass (I'm not kidding), then they throw up their hands and wail, "That isn't possible!!" I reply by pointing. John is not the cheapest. You do not want to use "the cheapest". John is the best "value". THIS IS THE PART OF THE HOUSE YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT!! You want the best value. This is the place you want to spend your money!! Get cheaper concrete. Get cheaper lumber. Get a cheaper recessed fixture. No one looks at the fixture, they look at what the fixture throws light onto!! Recap: John's work is other-worldly. John is the best value. John stupifies the competition to nonsense replies like, "That isn't possible." What they should say is, "That isn't possible for me." Finally, spend money on the things that make your house beautiful ... its worth it. read more

I had two bathrooms remodeled at once. John owner of Bellissimo tile, also owner of Morena tile and stone did a fantastic job. Him and his awesome crew made it as painless as possible. His crew are all perfectionists and do a outstanding job. If you have an idea he will figure how to make your dreams come true. He is totally an artist that thinks out of the box. They were always on the job on time. John the owner checked the job site every day to make sure his men were doing everything to perfection. I have heard many horror stories about contractors as I am sure all of you have. You don't need to worry about this company. He will also recommend a demo/plumber/new construction crew that is also awesome. His name is Mike. They all work together very well. John is not cheap but when they are done you are happy with no nightmares. Moreno tile has a great selection and awesome employees like Clark to also help you every step of the way. By the end of my job we were family. My job passed with frying colors thru all inspections from the city. My only advise to anyone would be know what you want from the start, get a price and go with it. If you change things up in the middle you will pay the price in change orders. Wonderful service from John! I had previously visited this business/showroom and had also visited other tile businesses and had received the same answer at all businesses ... that to match my 15 year old existing travertine was going to be tough. I happened upon John on my return visit to Bellisimo. He was quickly able to provide me with the best match for the tiles that I had received BUT he went the further step and told me of another solution. I walked into this business expecting to spend about $1,500 instead I spent far less by following John's advice and I am pleased with the results achieved by following his advice. John is not just a nice guy, and the other personnel were very pleasant as well, but impressed me that what he truly cared about was the job being done well and for the best price. Bellisimo! Excellent work done by Bellisimo after a MARBLE RESTORATION company (Stoneshine) destroyed my new marble countertop by cracking and breaking off the edge when they came out to repair some etching caused by a cleaning company. I tracked him down and found that he goes under the name Bellisimo now. I am so glad I found him because this company really is a gem. I recently needed a stone slab installed in our bathroom for the top of our vanity. They were so helpful in picking out a beautiful remnant and even gave me a great price on it. John sent out Marvin to make the template. He was very experienced and so helpful. He had to first take apart the old vanity and didn't bay an eye at the challenge of the job. Within a few days, they brought back a gorgeous finished product. The workmanship on the edging is stellar and the turnaround time was amazing.
